A motorcycle includes: a front swing arm; a fork holder coupled to the front swing arm in a swingable manner; a front fork steerably supported by the fork holder; and a front cushion unit. In a front-wheel suspension device, one end of the front cushion unit is coupled to the body frame, and the other end of the front cushion unit is coupled to the fork holder.

Front-wheel suspension device for saddle riding vehicle

A motorcycle includes: a front swing arm that includes upper arms and lower arms; a fork holder; a front fork; and a front cushion unit. The fork holder of a front-wheel suspension device includes a pair of left and right sideward extended portions which extend in the vehicle width direction. The front ends of the left and right upper arms are attached to the left and right sideward extended portions though connecting shafts, respectively.

A front wheel suspension device for a saddle-ride type vehicle, includes a front fork for supporting a front wheel with a steering member that is rotated about a rotational axis in accordance with operation of a handlebar. A cooling system includes a rear radiator that is mounted in a vehicle and circulates cooling water to release heat of the cooling water. A fan that generates cooling air to cool the rear radiator, and a shroud is provided between the fan and the rear radiator and guides the cooling air. The shroud has a double structure having an internal space; the internal space enables the cooling water to pass through the internal space when the cooling water circulates.

The vibration damping apparatus includes at least a pair of mutually facing surfaces disposed on the vehicle body frame, the surfaces not being relatively displaceable while the vehicle is stationary, and being relatively displaceable while the vehicle is running. A damping member is fixed to each of the surfaces and is disposed therebetween. The damping member is not subject to load while the vehicle is stationary. One of the surfaces is disposed on a side of a first main frame of a pair of left and right main frames and the other of the surfaces is disposed on a side of a second main frame.

Vibration damping apparatus for saddle riding type vehicle

The present invention relates to an easy and cost effective process for extruding a tube having different intermediate sections in its longitudinal direction, and a die for forming a tube through this extrusion molding process. Tubes so formed may be used for a vehicle for example, particularly for the body frame of a motorcycle. The die for this extrusion molding process includes a fixed die and a movable variable die. The tube is formed by material extruded from an outflow passage which is formed by the superposition in the direction of extrusion of a fixed die hole and a variable die hole. The outflow passage has an opening for a tube wall for forming the wall of the tube, and openings for two intermediate walls for forming connecting walls in the inside space of the tube. The tube formed by this process is composed of a part having the connecting wall and a part having no connecting wall. This is accomplished by opening or blocking the opening for the intermediate wall by moving cores according to the amount of the movement of the variable die. The resulting tube has a rigidity that varies along the longitudinal direction of the tube.

Wing portions are used to reinforce ground pressure of a front wheel of a vehicle, such as a motorcycle, in which a center of gravity of the vehicle in a driver riding state is positioned between a front wheel and a rear wheel of the vehicle. The wing portions, each of which is provided in such a manner that an aerodynamic center thereof is positioned forward and downward from the center of gravity of the vehicle, produces down-lift.
