An apparatus for manufacturing moldings by which clear colors and patterns can be brought out without a remarkable lowering of strength. Immediately before delivery to a metal mold, outer resin material positioned on the main cylinder inner wall side is put in the molten state, and inner resin material positioned on the main screw side is controlled to be from the softening temperature to the melting temperature both inclusive to be extrusion-molded as they are. The inner wall of the main cylinder is expanded where the outer resin material is received to help the outer resin material be thrown in smoothly.

The method for producing a molded resin product with a simulated wood grain pattern on an exterior surface according to the present invention comprises the steps of: supplying a first molten resin into a mold cell to form a resin layer with said exterior surface; making a plurality of grooves through said resin layer so as to reach said exterior surface before said molten resin solidifies; filling up said grooves with a second molten resin such that said exterior surface exhibits simulated wood grain patterns; and solidifying said first resin and said second resin.

Method for producing a wood-like molded resin product

A method in which a liquid resin in which a coloring agent is dispersed non-uniformly is injected into a molding cell, one or more liquid resins having different colors are laminated to form one or more layers on the liquid resin in which a coloring agent is dispersed non-uniformly, a comb-like tool is allowed to move through the laminated liquid resins while allowing the teeth to contact the bottom surface of the molding cell, and then, liquid resins are cured to produce artificial marble having stripe pattern. Artificial marble having a radial cut moire pattern with a delicate hue of wood and a natural appearance, or a stripe pattern having a natural marble-like appearance excellent in texture and deep feeling can be formed in a simple manner.
