A composite electronic component includes a substrate with a first main surface and a side end surface, a first electronic component including external electrodes and mounted on the first main surface of the substrate, a second electronic component including external electrodes and being different in electrical function from the first electronic component mounted on the first main surface of the substrate, and a conductive pattern on the first main surface of the substrate, electrically connecting the first electronic component and the second electronic component to each other, and including one end reaching a side of one side end of the substrate, one external electrode of the first electronic component and one external electrode of the second electronic component being located on the side of the one side end of the substrate, another external electrode of the first electronic component and another external electrode of the second electronic component being connected to the conductive pattern, and the composite electronic component being mounted such that a surface of the substrate on the side of the one side end is opposed to a first main surface of a mount substrate.

A method for manufacturing a dielectric thin film capacitor of the present invention includes the steps of coating a liquid raw material on a substrate and performing a first heat treatment to form an adhesive layer, forming a lower electrode on the adhesive layer, coating a liquid raw material on the lower electrode and performing a second heat treatment to form a dielectric thin film by crystallization, forming an upper electrode on the dielectric thin film, and performing a third heat treatment at a temperature higher than those of the first and second heat treatments. The adhesive layer and the dielectric thin film are formed by using materials having the same composition system or using the same material.

Method for manufacturing dielectric thin film capacitor

A method for forming a dielectric thin film includes a film deposition step of spraying a material solution onto a heated substrate under a reduced pressure by a two-fluid technique using an inert gas to deposit a thin film. The material solution is supplied at a rate that is greater than the vaporization rate of the solvent in the film deposited on the substrate. The supply of the material solution is stopped and the solvent remaining in the film is vaporized remaining solvent. Then, the film is heat-treated in an oxidizing atmosphere. The substrate is heated to a temperature in the range of about 100&deg; C. to about 300&deg; C. Thus, a dielectric thin film having reliability can be formed even if the film thickness is small.
