Precipitation-hardened, martensitic, cast stainless steel having a composition comprising, by mass, 0.08-0.18% of C, 1.5% or less of Si, 2.0% or less of Mn, 0.005-0.4% of S, 13.5-16.5% of Cr, 3.0-5.5% of Ni, 0.5-2.8% of Cu, 1.0-2.0% of Nb, and 0.12% or less of N, the amounts of C, N and Nb meeting the condition of &#x2212;0.2&#x2266;9 (C %+0.86N %)&#x2212;Nb %&#x2266;1.0, the rest being Fe and inevitable impurities, and having a structure in which Cu precipitates having an average particle size of 0.1-0.4 &#x3bc;m are dispersed in a tempered-martensite-based matrix.

Precipitation-hardened, martensitic, cast stainless steel having excellent machinability and its production method

A high-Cr, high-Ni, heat-resistant, austenitic cast steel comprises as main components C, Si, Mn, Cr, Ni, W and/or Mo, and Nb, the balance being substantially Fe and inevitable impurities, N being 0.01-0.5%, Al being 0.23% or less, and O being 0.07% or less by weight. Exhaust equipment members are produced by using this high-Cr, high-Ni, heat-resistant, austenitic cast steel.

An integrally cast steel piston for internal engines, the cast steel having (a) a composition comprising 0.8% or less of C, 3% or less of Si, 3% or less of Mn,0.2% or less of S, 3% or less of Ni, 6% or less of Cr, 6% or less of Cu, and 0.01-3% of Nb, the balance being substantially Fe and inevitable impurities, or (b) a composition comprising 0.1-0.8% of C, 3% or less of Si, 3% or less of Mn, 0.2% or less of S, 10% or less of Ni, 30% or less of Cr, 6 % or less of Cu, and 0.05-8% of Nb, the balance being substantially Fe and inevitable impurities, by mass.

Internal engine piston and its production method

An exhaust equipment member having an exhaust gas path portion at least partially having a thickness of 5 mm or less is made of a heat-resistant, high-Cr, high-Ni, austenitic cast steel having weight ratios of Cr/Ni of 1.0-1.5 and Mn/S of 5 or more a composition by weight of 0.2-1.0% of C, 2% or less of Si, 2% or less of Mn, 0.04% or less of P, 0.05-0.25% of 5, 20-30% of Cr, and 16-30% of Ni, the balance being substantially Fe and inevitable impurities, with a weight loss by oxidation of 50 mg/cm2 or less when kept in the air at 10100 C. for 200 hours.

Exhaust equipment member, internal combustion engine system using same, and method for producing such exhaust equipment member

An exhaust manifold assembly including at least two manifold part members, an annular end projection of one manifold part member receiving an annular end projection of the other manifold part member to form a connection portion, further including (a) an annular slidable tubular member made of a metal material having good heat resistance and oxidation resistance and inserted into a gap between the annular end projections of both manifold part members; and (b) a flexible pipe having a corrugated pipe portion and tubular portions integrally extending from both ends of the corrugated pipe portion, the tubular portions of the flexible pipe being continuously welded to outer surfaces of the manifold part members, whereby the connection portion is completely sealed by the flexible pipe.
