A sealing device to be provided in a bearing device for sealing an annular gap between an outer member and a flange. The sealing device includes a slinger attached to the flange by bolts press-fitted into a plurality of bolt holes provided at the flange. The slinger includes a main body portion in a hollow disk shape having insertion portions into which the bolts are inserted, an elastic seal being made of an elastic member and being integrally formed around the insertion portions of the main body portion, and a slinger cylindrical portion extending from an inner diametrical side end portion of the main body portion into axial direction and forming a first labyrinth by a gap between the slinger cylindrical portion and an outer circumferential face of the outer member.

Sealing device

A sealing device for sealing an annular space constituted by an inside member and an outside member which rotate relatively to each other includes a core metal having a cylindrical portion fitted to one of the inside member and the outside member, and a seal lip member fixed to the core metal and having a plurality of lip portions contacting the other of the inside member and the outside member. The lip portions includes a first lip portion provided at a position closest to the outside and blocking ventilation between the outside and a space existing between the lip portions, and another lip portion provided at a position farther from the outside than the first lip portion. The other lip portion is provided with a through-hole, which is open to front and rear surfaces and allow ventilation, at a position apart from a contact portion with the other member.

A cap for bearing device is attached to one end portion of an outer race member in a bearing device to block an opening portion, and includes: a cylindrical part that is fitted to the outer race member; a lid part configured to block an end portion of the cylindrical part; an annular seal part configured to, when being fitted to the outer race member, be compressed between the cap for the bearing device and the outer race member; and a ventilation part, which, in the course of fitting the cylindrical part to the outer race member, allows air to pass between inside and outside of a bearing space, and in the state where the cylindrical part is fitted to the outer race member, the ventilation is shut down.

Cap for bearing device

A sealing device which comprises a slinger fixedly fitted to the rotary side member, a core member fixedly fitted to the stationary side member, and an elastic sealing member fixed to the core member and having a seal lip which elastically and slidably contacts the slinger. The slinger comprises a fitting cylindrical portion to be fitted into the rotary side member, a brim portion extending its radial direction at one end of its outside relative to a sealed portion of the fitting cylindrical portion, and a rotary side fixing member fixed to the brim portion. Further, the slinger is made in such a manner that an adhesive layer is formed on its whole surface including a contacting side surface where the seal lip contacts by applying adhesive agent thereon, then the fixing member is integrally fixed thereto, thereafter the adhesive layer is partially removed only in the contacting side surface.

A sealing device for sealing space between two members concentrically and relatively rotating comprising a core member fixedly fitted into one of the two members, a metal slinger fixedly fitted into the other of the two members, and an elastic seal member fixedly attached to the core member and having a seal lip which elastically and slidably contacts the slinger. The slinger has a slidably contacting treated surface for the seal lip as is processed such a surface-treatment as defined by the following parameters: arithmetic mean roughness Ra in the range from 0.5 &#x3bc;m to 1.5 &#x3bc;m, root-mean-square roughness Rq in the range from 0.6 &#x3bc;m to 2.0 &#x3bc;m, mean surface irregularity interval Sm in the range from 0.05 mm to 0.17 mm and peak count Pc (50%) in the range from 20 to 60.
