A suspension includes: a cylinder; a piston rod including a piston provided at one end-side, and inserted in the cylinder together with the piston; an outer tube part opened at the one end-side, a position of which relative to the piston rod is fixed at the other end-side, and configured to receive therein at least a part of the cylinder; and a tubular rolling diaphragm having one end disposed at the cylinder and the other end fixed to the outer tube part, and configured to roll in conjunction with displacement of the piston rod with respect to the cylinder. The rolling diaphragm becomes convex toward the other end-side of the outer tube part and is accommodated in the outer tube part, upon contraction of the suspension.

Suspension

A damper includes a cylinder, a piston, a piston rod, a rod-side fluid chamber, a piston-side fluid chamber, an annular fluid chamber, and a stopper mechanism. The cylinder includes an inner tube and an outer tube. The rod-side fluid chamber is defined by the piston in the inner tube on a lower end side. The piston-side fluid chamber is defined by the piston in the inner tube on an upper end side. The annular fluid chamber is between the inner and outer tubes. At least one communication hole communicates the rod-side fluid chamber with the annular fluid chamber. A communication passage communicates the rod-side fluid chamber with the annular fluid chamber. A check valve in the communication passage allows fluid to flow from the annular fluid chamber to the rod-side fluid chamber and disallows the fluid to flow from the rod-side fluid chamber to the annular fluid chamber.

Damper

A front fork leg includes an inner chamber that absorbs by a gas spring a shock caused on a vehicle; an auxiliary gas spring chamber communicating with the inner chamber; an auxiliary piston provided in the auxiliary gas spring chamber; and a gas spring chamber side gas chamber sectioned by the auxiliary piston and communicating with the inner chamber, and the auxiliary piston moves to increase a volume of the gas spring chamber side gas chamber, as pressure inside the inner chamber increases.

Shock absorber

An air spring structure has a first communication hole formed in a peripheral surface of a cylinder and a second communication hole formed in the peripheral surface at a position closer to an axle than the first communication hole. A piston has a sliding portion that comes into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder and partitions the cylinder into an inner chamber and a balance chamber. The sliding portion has an axial length shorter than an axial length between the first communication hole and the second communication hole. A communication member has a communication path formed so as to pass through the first communication hole and the second communication hole to allow the inner chamber and the balance chamber to communicate with each other.

Air spring structure

An air suspension in an embodiment includes: a cylinder; a piston rod; a rod-side member disposed on the lower end side of the piston rod; a diaphragm; an axle-side attachment member having an upper end side of which is fixed to an opening at a lower end of the rod-side member, the axle-side attachment member including a fixing section for fixing the piston rod and an attachment hole joined to an axle; a gas passage formed in the axle-side attachment member, one end of the gas passage being opened to an upper end face of the axle-side attachment member and the other end of the gas passage being opened to a side section of the axle-side attachment member; and a valve section provided at the opening of the other end of the gas passage.

Air suspension

A suspension apparatus includes: a partition wall member that divides a space inside an inner tube into an upper space and a lower space; a cap that covers an upper opening portion of an outer tube; and a support member of which one end portion is retained by the cap, and of which the other end portion supports the other end portion of a piston rod, in which a through-hole is formed in a portion of the inner tube, an inner space of the piton rod is a space inside the piston rod and communicates with the lower space, the support member is a cylindrical member and forms an upper portion space, and the upper portion space communicates with the inner space of the piston rod, and at least one of the cap and the support member is provided with a communication path.

Suspension apparatus

A suspension apparatus includes: a cylindrical outer tube; an inner tube a piston rod of which one end portion retains a piston; and a partition wall member that is mounted to an upper end portion of the inner tube to define an upper end portion of an annular oil chamber, that has a bowl portion, and that divides a space inside the inner tube into an inner space and an outer space of the bowl portion, in which the partition wall member divides the outer space into a gap space and a space other than the gap space, a through-hole is formed in the partition wall member, and at least one of the partition wall member and the inner tube is provided with a communication path through which an upper portion of the annular oil chamber communicates with the gap space.
