Baby carriage folding mechanism for a folding baby carriage

This child car seat includes a child car seat body, a back portion rotatably held in inclination by the child car seat body, a seat portion rotatably connected to a lower part of the back portion and a shock absorbing mechanism arranged between the child car seat body and either one or both of the back portion and the seat portion. The seat portion and the back portion hold a newborn. When an impact force directing from a front face side of the back portion toward its back face side is applied on the newborn, the back portion rotates in its rising direction and the shock absorbing mechanism operates to reduce the impact force applied on the newborn. Consequently, the newborn can be held on the child car seat in a state close to a condition where the newborn lies on its back. Since the back portion stands up at the time of impact, the newborn is capable of receiving the impact through the whole area of a newborn's back.

A child car seat () has a seat bottom () to be set on the seat of a vehicle, and a seat back () capable of turning relative to the seat bottom (). Straps () having back end parts connected to an anchoring member () is extended along the bottom surface of the seat bottom (). Booster seat

A swivel child car seat comprises a base having a bottom part, a disk-shaped swivel pedestal mounted on the bottom part of the base for free turning, and a seat body supported on the swivel pedestal. The swivel pedestal is fitted in a guide groove formed in the bottom part so as to move forwardly and rearwardly along the guide groove. The swivel pedestal is held fixedly in place by a block fitted in the guide groove.

A locking clip is attached to a seat belt fastening a child car seat to a seat of a vehicle to facilitate tightening the seat belt and to ensure that the seat belt may not loosen. The locking clip is attached to a portion of the seat belt where a waist belt section and a shoulder belt section of the seat belt diverge from each other. The locking clip has a belt clamping mechanism clamping the waist belt section and the shoulder belt section together, and a ratchet mechanism for permitting the shoulder belt section to be pulled only in one direction to tighten the seat belt and to prevent the seat belt from loosening.

The instant invention pertains to a child car seat body including a headrest, an abdominal support and a mechanism interconnecting the abdominal support and the headrest such that as the headrest is lowered the abdominal support moves toward the headrest.
