In a power storage module, a side surface of an electrode laminate body has a welded layer where first sealing portions adjacent in a lamination direction are welded. A sealing body has: a side surface (opening wall) provided with a through hole communicating with an internal space; and side surfaces (non-opening walls) lacking the through hole. When viewed from the lamination direction, a width of the welded layer at the opening wall is smaller than a width of the welded layer at the non-opening wall.

Power storage module

A power storage module includes an electrode laminate including a plurality of bipolar electrodes which are laminated and a sealing body sealing a space between a pair of the bipolar electrodes adjacent to each other in a laminating direction among the plurality of bipolar electrodes in the electrode laminate. Each of the plurality of bipolar electrodes includes an electrode plate. The sealing body includes a group of primary sealing bodies each provided at an edge portion of the electrode plate and a secondary sealing body. The secondary sealing body includes a first resin portion that is provided along a side surface of the electrode laminate extending in the laminating direction and bonds the group of primary sealing bodies, and a second resin portion covering the first resin portion.

Power storage module and method for manufacturing power storage module

The power storage device includes power storage units arranged with a conductive plate interposed therebetween in the vertical direction, each of the power storage units includes an electrode stack including bipolar electrodes stacked with a separator interposed therebetween, and a sealing member provided around the electrode stack so as to seal a housing space formed between adjacent electrodes of the electrode stack. At least one of the power storage units is provided with an overhang member on an outer peripheral surface of the sealing member. The overhang member includes an inclined portion that extends from the outer peripheral surface of the sealing member toward the outside of the power storage unit and inclines downward as it leaves away from the outer peripheral surface of the sealing member, and a top portion formed at a lower end of the inclined portion.

Bipolar battery and power storage device

A power storage device includes a plurality of power storage modules laminated, a conductive plate and a sealing member. The conductive plate and the sealing member are provided between the power storage modules adjacent to each other in a laminating direction of the power storage modules. The plurality of power storage modules each have an electrode laminate, an electrolytic solution, and a sealing body. The electrode laminate has electrode exposed portions exposed from the sealing body at one end and the other end in the laminating direction. Between the power storage modules adjacent to each other in the laminating direction, the conductive plate is disposed between the electrode exposed portions opposing each other to be in contact with the electrode exposed portions, and at least a portion between the sealing bodies opposing each other is filled with the sealing member.

A method for manufacturing an electricity-storage module includes: preparing a stacked body and first sealing portions; processing an extension portion of one or more first sealing portions included in an outer edge portion in a stacking direction of the stacked body so that an extension portion length of the one or more of first sealing portions becomes shorter than a length of the extension portions of the first sealing portions which are not included in the outer edge portion; and forming a second sealing portion that is provided at the periphery of the first sealing portions when viewed from the stacking direction and covers at least parts of outer surfaces of the first sealing portions located at stacking ends of the stacked body in the stacking direction by injection molding in which a resin material is caused to circulate in a mold frame.

A battery module includes an electrode laminate including a plurality of electrodes that are laminated, and a sealing body sealing a side surface of the electrode laminate. The sealing body is provided with a communication hole communicating an internal space between the electrodes adjacent in a laminating direction in the electrode laminate. The communication hole includes an opening end on an outer surface of the sealing body. A length of the opening end in the laminating direction is longer than a length of the internal space in the laminating direction.

An electricity storage device according to one embodiment is an electricity storage device in which a plurality of bipolar electrodes in which a positive electrode layer is provided on one surface of a collector plate and a negative electrode layer is provided on the other surface of the collector plate are stacked via separators and includes a plurality of spacers arranged along peripheral edges of the collector plates between the respective collector plates adjacent to each other in a stacking direction and a resin frame covering outer peripheries of the plurality of spacers.

A nickel-hydrogen battery includes a plurality of electrodes each including a current collector made of a metal, and disposed in a manner stacked in a first direction; a separator disposed between adjacent electrodes of the plurality of electrodes; a plurality of resin members disposed on peripheral portions of the plurality of electrodes to ensure a clearance between the adjacent electrodes; and a surface treatment layer covering one surface of the current collector at least in the peripheral portion of the plurality of electrode. The surface treatment layer includes a plurality of protrusions from the one surface. Widest parts of the protrusions are located above base ends thereof, and parts of the resin members are interposed between adjacent protrusions, across a range from tip ends to the base ends thereof.

A power storage module includes a cylindrical resin portion that extends in a direction in which a plurality of bipolar electrodes is stacked and that accommodates therein the plurality of the bipolar electrodes. The resin portion includes a first seal portion that has a cylindrical shape and is joined to peripheral edge portions of a plurality of electrode plate, and a second seal portion that has a cylindrical shape and is disposed outside the first seal portion in a direction that crosses the stacking direction of the bipolar electrodes. A plurality of separators is disposed such that outer peripheral ends of the separators are located between an outer peripheral end of the first seal portion and an inner peripheral end of the first seal portion.

A tab bundle has a first bent portion, which is at a first end in the stacking direction L of an electrode assembly in a laminated state and is bent toward a second end in the stacking direction L of the electrode assembly, and an extended portion, which protrudes from the first bent portion in the stacking direction L. The tab bundle is electrically connected to a conductive member by means of a conduction part, which is located in the extended portion. The conductive member includes: a fixed piece, which is fixed to the inner surface of a lid member and located between the extended portion and the lid member, and a connecting piece, which intersects the fixed piece and protrudes toward the electrode assembly. The tab bundle is electrically connected to the connecting piece by means of the conduction part, which is located in the extended portion.

A power storage device includes a case accommodating an electrode assembly and having a lid, a current interrupting device, and an insulating member. The electrode assembly has a tab-side end face opposed to an inner face of the lid. The current interrupting device has a device end face opposed to the tab-side end face. The insulating member has an insulating end face opposed to the tab-side end face. A distance from the inner face to the device end face in a state where the current interrupting device is positioned closest to the inner face is defined as a first dimension. A distance from the inner face to the insulating end face in a state where the insulating member is positioned closest to the inner face is defined as a second dimension. An electricity storage device includes a casing, a terminal, and a current interruption device. The terminal includes a column part and a base part. A first sealing member having an insulating property including a first sealing part sealing between the terminal and a terminal wall is provided between the terminal and the terminal wall, and surrounding an entire periphery of the column part. A first insulating member having an insulating property is disposed within a first space provided between the terminal and the terminal wall on a casing inner side relative to the first sealing part, and surrounds the entire periphery of the column part. A power storage module in which rectangular power storage devices each having an electrode assembly and an electrolyte accommodated in a case are configured to be connected, wherein the power storage devices are arrayed in a predetermined array direction (a direction in which positive electrodes and negative electrodes are stacked) and bonded in an arrayed state, and thicknesses of surfaces (in particular, at least parts in contact with an adjacent member in the surfaces of the bonded sides) on bonded sides of the cases are less than thicknesses of surfaces of non-bonded sides.

A current interruption device disclosed in the present specification includes: a first conductive member and a second conductive member that are facing each other; an insulating seal member disposed therebetween; and an insulating cover accommodating the first conductive member, the second conductive member, and the seal member. The seal member separates a space between the first and second conductive members into an inner space and an outer space which communicates with the space within the casing. In a plan view, the seal member is positioned in an entire area outside of contact portions of the seal member with the first and second conductive members within a range where the first and second conductive members are facing each other. The cover is disposed along outer circumferential edges of the first and second conductive members, and the seal member is in contact with the cover.
