A side body structure of a vehicle includes a hinge pillar reinforced by a reinforcement having a side surface and a front surface extending inward in the vehicle width direction from the front end of the side surface. The reinforcement is provided with upper and lower gussets for reinforcing a pair of upper and lower hinge mounting portions, respectively, for a side door. The reinforcement has a first bead portion on the side surface between the upper and lower gussets, and has a second bead portion at an edge portion that is a boundary portion between the side surface and the front surface. The second bead portion extends in an up-down direction and is recessed inward at the edge portion continuously from the side surface to the front surface.

Side body structure of vehicle

In a vehicle-body structure in which a roof side rail portion of a side face portion of a vehicle body and a roof reinforcement are connected via a gusset so as to suppress that a center pillar portion comes into a cabin side when a large load is inputted from a vehicle side, a notch portion is provided at the gusset. Thereby, it is suppressed that, when the large load is inputted to the center pillar portion from the vehicle side, the gusset is so bending-deformed by a rotation of the roof side rail portion that a rotational moment caused by the rotation of the roof side rail portion acts on the roof reinforcement, suppressing that the center pillar portion comes into the cabin side.

Upper vehicle-body structure of vehicle

A deflector structure of an automobile includes: a liner extended portion covering a lower-surface opening located at a front side of a wheel housing; and a deflector attached to the liner extended portion. The deflector is integrally configured by: a deflector base portion attached to the liner extended portion through a bolt and a resin clip; and a plate-shaped deflector main body extending from a rear end of the deflector base portion to a vehicle lower side and having flexibility and a thickness in a forward/rearward direction. A plurality of rear-surface ribs each extending in an upward/downward direction are formed on a rear surface of the deflector main body at predetermined intervals in a width direction, upper ends of the rear-surface ribs being in contact with a lower surface of the liner extended portion.

Deflector structure of automobile

A deflector comprises a protrusion portion which protrudes downward, including a slant face portion slanting obliquely rearward and downward, and a vertical wall portion which is provided in back of the protrusion portion to extend in a vehicle width direction. A lower end portion of the vertical wall portion is positioned at a lower level than a rear end portion of the slant face portion. The lower end portion of part of the vertical wall portion located inward from the other part of the vertical wall portion located so as to overlap the front wheel in a front view is positioned at a higher level than the lower end portion of the other part of the vertical wall portion located so as to overlap the front wheel in the front view.
