In a brake control system, a power supply portion supplies a voltage to a plurality of actuators. When a first actuator is supplied with a voltage equal to or higher than a first minimum operating voltage from the power supply portion, the first actuator operates to perform a first function. When a second actuator is supplied with a voltage equal to or higher than a second minimum operating voltage from the power supply portion, the second actuator performs a second function. The first minimum operating voltage and the second minimum operating voltage are set to be different from each other by a predetermined value so that the first actuator and the second actuator stop operating in a predetermined sequence with a decrease in the supplied voltage.

Brake control system

A brake control apparatus is equipped with a plurality of fluid pressure adjusting valves that have opening degrees thereof adjusted through energization control to adjust the fluid pressures, a plurality of valves that are provided in series with at least two of the fluid pressure adjusting valves, are closed during stoppage of energization to hold the fluid pressures, and a brake ECU. The brake ECU controls fluid pressure adjustment achieved by supplying the fluid pressures to the wheel cylinders respectively, opening the communication valves, and adjusting the opening degrees of the fluid pressure adjusting valves to adjust the fluid pressures respectively, and fluid pressure holding achieved by closing the communication valves, opening the fluid pressure adjusting valves, and holding the fluid pressures by means of the communication valves respectively.

An image processing system is provided, which includes: a front monitoring device that obtains an image of a view ahead of a vehicle; a vehicle position detecting device that detects the position and orientation of the vehicle; a map database that stores road maps; a traffic indicator position estimating portion that estimates the position of a traffic indicator () based on the shape of a road ahead of the vehicle that has been extracted from the map database, according to the position of the vehicle that has been detected by the vehicle position detecting device; an image processing region setting portion that sets an image processing region within the image obtained by the front monitoring device based on the position of the traffic indicator that has been estimated by the traffic indicator position estimating portion; and a traffic indicator detecting portion that detects the traffic indicator from the image processing region.
