A print head includes a transparent substrate on which a light emitting element is formed, a lens configured to condense light from the light emitting element that passes through the transparent substrate, and a holder including a first supporting surface that supports the transparent substrate and a second supporting surface that supports the lens. The holder is formed from a single, continuous piece of material by bending.

Print head

The print head and light emitting elements, first and second drive circuits, and a control circuit. The light emitting elements and drive circuits are spaced from each other an arrangement pitch. The first drive circuit includes a first capacitor and sets a light emission level for the first light emitting element. The second drive circuit includes a second capacitor and sets a light emission level of the second light emitting element. The control circuit is connected to the first drive circuit by a first wiring and to the second drive circuit by a second wiring and controls voltages across the first and second capacitors individually. A difference between the length of the first wiring and the length of the second wiring is less than the arrangement pitch.

Print head and image forming device

According to an embodiment, a print head includes one or more light emitting element arrays, a light emission control circuit, and one or more drive circuit arrays. The light emitting element arrays include a plurality of light emitting elements arrayed continuously along a main scanning direction. The light emission control circuit outputs drive signals of different phases in units of a light emitting element group configured by a predetermined number of continuous light emitting elements included in the light emitting elements. The drive circuit arrays include a plurality of drive circuits, the drive circuits cause the light emitting elements to emit light individually based on the drive signals.

Print head and image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of light emitting elements, a detector, a controller, and an image forming unit. The light emitting elements are arranged in at least one row. The detector is configured to detect a number of light emitting elements that emit light according to image data. The controller is configured to control a driving voltage for driving the light emitting elements based on the number of light emitting elements detected. The image forming unit is configured to form an image based on light emission of the light emitting elements according to the image data.

An image forming apparatus can include a print head, a detector, a controller, and a power source. The print head includes one or more light emitting element rows, each light emitting element row composed of a plurality of light emitting elements. The detector detects the number of light emitting elements that emit light according to image data. The controller controls a driving voltage for driving the light emitting element based on a detection result. The power source supplies the driving voltage to the print head.

An image forming apparatus includes a photoconductor, light emitting elements, a developing device, a fixing device, and a controller. The photoconductor is charged. The light emitting elements form light spots on the photoconductor in order to form an electrostatic latent image on the photoconductor, and are provided to have a first distance with each other in a main scanning direction. The developing device develops an electrostatic latent image on the photoconductor to a toner image. The fixing device fixes the toner image to a sheet. The controller causes the light emitting elements to form first light spots on the photoconductor, causes the photoconductor to move toward the light emitting elements by a second distance shorter than the first distance in a sub-scanning direction orthogonal to the main scanning direction, and causes the light emitting elements to form second light spots on the photoconductor.

According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a light emitting element array, a photosensitive member, a transparent member, a gap spacer, and a biasing member. The light emitting element array includes a plurality of light emitting elements. The photosensitive member forms a latent image by being exposed by light emitted from the light emitting element array. The transparent member is positioned between the photosensitive member and the light emitting element array. The transparent member has a relative position fixed with respect to the light emitting element array, and transmits the light emitted from the light emitting element array. The gap spacer keeps a distance between the photosensitive member and the transparent member constant. The biasing member biases the transparent member toward the photosensitive member.

An image forming apparatus includes a print head, a detector, and a controller. The print head includes one or more light emitting element arrays, each light emitting element array includes a plurality of light emitting elements. The detector is configured to detect an emission time of the print head that emits light according to image data. The controller is configured to control a time interval to a print start corresponding to second image data, the second image data following first image data, based on a detection result of an emission time corresponding to the first image data.

In accordance with an embodiment, an image forming apparatus comprises a light emitting element array comprising a low temperature polysilicon transistor and a plurality of light emitting elements that emit light at luminance corresponding to an output current of the transistor; and a processor configured to select either one of a first mode in which the light emitting element emits light for a first irradiation time at a first light quantity per unit area and a second mode in which the light emitting element emits light for a second irradiation time longer than the first irradiation time at a second light quantity less than the first light quantity per unit area, and control emission of light from the plurality of light emitting elements to expose a photoconductor according to acquired image data and a selected mode.

In accordance with an embodiment, a print head includes a first light emitting element line and a second light emitting element line. The first light emitting element line and the second light emitting element line each include a plurality of light emitting elements that emit light on the basis of image data. The plurality of light emitting elements of the second light emitting element line are arranged deviated from the plurality of light emitting elements of the first light emitting element line by a certain interval in a main scanning direction.

In accordance with an embodiment, a print head comprises a transparent substrate, a drive circuit, a first light emitting element (emitter), a second light emitting element (emitter) and a lens. The drive circuit supplies a current. The first light emitting element (emitter) which is an element on the transparent substrate outputs first light with a predetermined wavelength through supply of the current. The second light emitting element (emitter) which is an element on the transparent substrate outputs second light with the predetermined wavelength through the supply of the current. The lens converges a third light generated by overlapping the first light and the second light.

An optical print head comprises a first light emitting element row, a second light emitting element row, a lens array, a first drive circuit and a second drive circuit. The first light emitting element row includes the arrangement of first light emitting elements.
