An RFID-tag fabricating apparatus for fabricating an RFID tag provided with an IC circuit, including a substrate-accommodating device for accommodating a first substrate in the form of a tape having a printable surface and a second substrate in the form of a tape to be bonded to the first substrate, a printing device operable to form a predetermined printed indicium on the printable surface of the first substrate, a tag-tape forming device operable to form a tag tape, by bonding together the first and second substrates such that a plurality of IC circuit portions are interposed between the first and second substrates, a tag-tape cutting device operable to cut the tag tape formed by the tag-tape forming device, and a tag-tape cutting control portion operable to change a length of a segment of the tag tape to be obtained as the RFID tag by cutting of the tag tape by the tag-tape cutting device, on the basis of a length of the printed indicium formed on the first substrate, and such that the segment includes at least one of the IC circuit portions, whereby the dimensions of the RFID tag can be changed depending upon the dimensions of the printed indicium formed on the first substrate.

RFID-tag fabricating apparatus and cartridge

There is provided a projector having a projecting unit, a projecting system which projects video onto a projection surface by use of the projecting unit, a projecting direction judgment system which judges a projecting direction of the projecting system, and a menu image generating system which generates a menu image, as video generated in the projector as the video to be projected by the projecting system, so that the menu image suits the projecting direction judged by the projecting direction judgment system.

A sheet feeder including: a storing unit that stores a plurality of sheets of recording medium; a retaining unit provided at an edge of the recording medium that is stored in the storing unit, and having an inclined surface that is inclined to a surface of the recording medium and a protrusion member that retains the edge of the recording medium in a state being protruded from the inclined surface to be in contact with the edge of the recording medium; a sheet feeding mechanism that conveys the recording medium stacked in the storing unit toward the retaining unit and feeds the recording medium; and a protrusion amount adjusting mechanism that adjusts a protrusion amount of the protrusion member from the inclined surface.

Sheet feeder

A sheet-supply device supplying sheets one at a time from a stack of sheets in a sheet feeding direction. The device includes a slanting plate on which a stack of sheets is mounted. A sheet feed roller is positioned above the slanting plate applying a force to an uppermost sheet in the stack to move the sheet in a sheet feed direction. A fixed separation plate is fixed at a downstream end portion of the slanting plate. The separation plate is formed with a slot in which a high friction separation member is disposed. The high friction separation member is held by a resilient support platesupported by the fixed separation plate. The resilient support plate has a comb like slats on which the high friction separation member is held. In a normal condition, the high friction separation member protrudes from the slot toward the leading edges of the sheets. When a leading edge of the sheet presses the high friction separation member by the rotation of the sheet feed roller, and the sheet has a predetermined stiffness, a part of the high friction separation member sinks into the slot by the deformation of the comb like slats.

Sheet-supply device

At the lower end of a sheet-supporting surface, there is provided a fixed separation plate from and into the upper surface of which a separating device elongated in the sheet feed direction can protrude and retract. On either side thereof, there are provided first movable separation plates that can be inclined below the fixed separation plate. Stopper members are urged by an urging spring so as to pivot to a position below the supper surfaces of the first movable separation plates. When a pivoting operation lever is rotated, an operation arm is pressed by a cam mounted to an operation shaft through an operating portion, a second link, and a first link to upwardly rotate the stopper members, raising the lower edges of the stacked sheets above the upper surfaces of the separation plates to maintain the stacked set state.

Sheet-supply device and image forming device including same

An inclined separating surface includes an upwardly curved surface that is gradually lowered near the ends, from a middle portion in a sheet width direction as a top. The inclined separating surface holds leading edges of sheets stacked on a sheet holder. At the middle of the inclined separating surface, a sheet separating unit, which extends in a sheet advance direction, is provided so as to protrude from and retract into the inclined separating surface. With this structure, the leading edges of side areas of the sheets do no contact the inclined separating surface before the leading edges of middle areas of the sheets contact the inclined separating surface. Consequently, the leading edges of the middle areas of the sheets are surely applied with separating action by the sheet separating unit.

Sheet feeder and image forming apparatus having the same

An auxiliary support plate is connected, by a leaf spring, to a middle portion of a lower end of a sheet holder, in a sheet width direction, so that a lower end part of the auxiliary support plate rotates and retracts below an upper surface of the sheet holder. A sheet feed roller, facing an upper surface of the auxiliary support plate, is rotatably supported by an arm, which can rotate about a drive shaft disposed upstream in a sheet advance direction.

A fixed separating plate, having a separating strip, is provided to a middle of a lower end portion of a sheet holder, which holds a plurality of sheets, in a sheet width direction. A pair of first and second movable separating plates are provided on each side of the fixed separating plate. The first and second movable separating plates are upwardly urged and can descend lower than the fixed separating plate. The first and second movable separating plates independently rotate downward when the first and second movable separating plates are pressed by leading edges of the sheets that are subjected to a sheet feeding force from the sheet feed roller. With this structure, the degree of the inclined angles of the movable separating plates, which receive the leading edges of the side areas of the sheets to be fed, can be changed in accordance with the size and rigidity of the sheets stacked on the sheet holder.

There is provided a sheet feeding device, which is provided with a paper supply member which feeds a sheet of paper on the top of stack of paper, the paper supply member being actuated by an actuator. The sheet feeding device further provided with a control system which controls the paper supply member, the control system having a stable sheet feeding operation mode in which the control system drives the paper supply member for a first time period initially, then stops the paper supply member after the first time period terminates, and then drives the paper supply member for a second time period.
