A microdevice includes: a microchannel to which a measurement target solution containing a measurement target substance is introduced; an antibody being fixed to at least one sidewall surface of the microchannel and specifically binding to the measurement target substance; a fluorescence-labeled derivative being specifically bound to the antibody and being acquired by fluorescence-labeling the measurement target substance; and a light blocker blocking excitation light exciting fluorescent light radiated by the fluorescence-labeled derivative. The measurement target substance and the fluorescence-labeled derivative specifically bind to the antibody in a competitive manner, and the antibody is fixed to the sidewall surface of the microchannel in a state of specifically binding to the fluorescence-labeled derivative. The light blocker blocks the excitation light entering the fluorescence-labeled derivative specifically binding to the antibody.

Microdevice and analysis device

A device to enable touchless operation of an instrument is disclosed. The device includes an actuator configured to vibrate the instrument, a controller configured to control the actuator, and an interval detector configured to detect an interval between the instrument and an object to operate the instrument. The controller is configured to start vibrating the actuator having been still after the interval detected by the interval detector reaches a first threshold, keep vibrating the actuator until the interval detected by the interval detector reaches a second threshold larger than the first threshold after the interval reaches the first threshold, and stop vibrating the actuator after the interval detected by the interval detector reaches the second threshold.

Device to enable touchless operation

To provide a naked-eye type stereoscopic display device which can achieve a fine stereoscopic display property while achieving high-definition display and high yield. An aperture part includes overlapping regions which overlap with an aperture part or another aperture part neighboring to each other in a second direction and a non-overlapping region which does not overlap. Provided that a light amount emitted from a linear aperture of the aperture part in parallel to a second direction is 'longitudinal light amount', the non-overlapping region includes longitudinal light amount fluctuating regions where the longitudinal light amount changes continuously from roughly a center of the aperture part towards both ends of the first direction, respectively. The sum of the longitudinal light amounts of the two overlapping regions overlapping with each other at a same position in the first direction is larger than the longitudinal light amount in roughly the center of the aperture part.

Stereoscopic display device

An optical detection type chemical sensor includes a light source, a detection element and a photodetector. The detection element is constituted of a laminate in which a multilayer film including a chemical detection layer, an optical interference layer, and a half mirror layer is formed on a transparent substrate. At least one of the layers includes a magnetic material. Light from the light source is applied to the detection element under the condition that the light enters inside of the detection element from the rear surface of the transparent substrate on which the laminate is not formed and multiple reflection occurring in the laminate intensifies the magneto-optical effect. A subject is detected by using the photodetector to detect a magneto-optical signal indicating a change in reflected light from the laminate resulting from a change in an optical property resulting from a reaction in the chemical detection layer.

A tactile presentation device includes a touch surface fixed in orientation, an actuator configured to vibrate the touch surface along one axis within the plane of the touch surface, and a controller configured to control vibration of the actuator along the one axis to present tactile stimulus to a finger in contact with the touch surface. The controller is configured to control the actuator in such a manner that direction to start vibration for presenting tactile stimulus to the finger is within a range from minus 43&#xb0; to plus 43&#xb0; with respect to a direction of gravity projected on the touch surface or the opposite direction thereof.

Display device

To provide a naked-eye type stereoscopic display device which can achieve a fine stereoscopic display property while achieving high-definition display and high yield. Aperture parts of sub-pixels neighboring to a first direction include overlapping regions which overlap in a second direction and a non-overlapping region which does not overlap. Provided that a width of the aperture part in the second direction is defined as a longitudinal aperture width, the non-overlapping region includes an aperture width fluctuating region where the longitudinal aperture width changes continuously from roughly a center of the aperture part towards both ends of the first direction, respectively. The sum of the longitudinal aperture widths of the two overlapping regions overlapping with each other at a same position in the first direction is larger than the longitudinal aperture width in roughly the center of the aperture part.

A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels arrayed along first and second directions, a distribution unit that distributes light emitted from each pixel configured to display a parallax image corresponding to each of a plurality of viewpoints, and a light blocking unit between the display panel and the distribution unit. The distribution unit distributes light emitted from each of the pixels to the plurality of viewpoints along the first direction in a first display state where the display panel displays a parallax image, or stops distributing emitted light in a second display state, displaying a planar image. Provided is a microlouver (optical element) having a transparent layer inclined to attain a desired viewing angle. The optical element includes patterned transparent layer and light absorbing layer on a transparent substrate. At least a part of the members of the transparent layer and the light absorbing layer are inclined with respect to the normal to the plane of the transparent substrate where patterns of the transparent layer and the light absorbing layer are provided.
