An image forming method uses a photoreceptor including at least an aluminum substrate, a toner for developing an electrostatic image including toner particles containing at least a binding resin, and a developer bearing member including a member that generates a magnetic flux inside, wherein the aluminum substrate contains silicon, a silicon content of the aluminum substrate is more than 0.6% by mass, and a glass transition point (Tg) of the toner for developing an electrostatic image is in a range of 0 to 45° C.

Image forming method and image forming system

Disclosed is an image forming method including: developing, with an electrostatic charge image developing toner, a latent image formed on a photoreceptor in which a photosensitive layer is formed on a support containing aluminum as a main component; transferring a toner image on the photoreceptor onto a transfer target; and rubbing and removing the electrostatic charge image developing toner remaining on the photoreceptor after the transferring. The support contains silicon in a range of more than 0.6% by mass and 12.6% by mass or less, a shape factor of toner particles included in the electrostatic charge image developing toner is in a range of 0.800 to 0.970, and a content of the toner particles having a particle diameter of 2 μm or less is in a range of 5% by number to 30% by number.

To provide a two-component developer for electrostatic charge image development, the two-component developer enabling a high image quality to be kept and enabling the occurrence of fogging to be suppressed even in continuous printing of an image high in coverage rate. The two-component developer for electrostatic charge image development includes a toner particle including a toner base particle and an external additive disposed on the surface of the toner base particle, and a carrier particle including a core material particle and a covering section disposed on the surface of the core material particle, wherein the external additive includes an alumina particle, and the percentage of exposed area of the core material particle is 4.0% or more and 15.0% or less.

Two-component developer for electrostatic charge image development

Provided is an electrostatic latent image developing toner including toner mother particles having an external additive on a surface of the toner mother particles, wherein the external additive contains inorganic particles and aliphatic acid metal salt particles; the inorganic particles have a number average particle diameter in the range of 10 to 50 nm, and have a Mohs hardness of 8 or more; and the aliphatic acid metal salt particles have a number average particle diameter in the range of 0.4 to 2.0 &#x3bc;m.

Two-component developer for developing electrostatic latent image

Provided is a carrier for electrostatic charge image development which provides a two-component developer having a high electric charge amount, a suppressed variation in an electric charge amount caused by an environmental change, and excellent durability, even if a low temperature fixable toner is used. A carrier for electrostatic charge image development of the present invention includes: carrier particles in which a core particle surface is coated with a coating material containing a resin, wherein the coating material contains phosphorus element, and the resin contains structural units derived from an alicyclic (meth)acrylic acid ester compound.

A toner for developing an electrostatic latent image includes: toner base particles containing a hybrid crystalline polyester resin having a crystalline polyester polymerized segment and an amorphous polymerized segment chemically bonded to each other and an amorphous resin; and an external additive including fatty acid metal salt particles, wherein a volume median diameter of the fatty acid metal salt particles is from 3.0 to 5.0 &#x3bc;m.

Toner for developing electrostatic latent image

Provided is a method for producing a carrier for developing an electrostatic latent image, the carrier including carrier particles each including a core particle with a surface coated with a coating material including a resin, and the method including the steps of: a) obtaining first coating resin particles by polymerizing an alicyclic methacrylate monomer using, as a polymerization initiator, an azo compound having a nitrogen atom-containing substituent; b) obtaining second coating resin particles by polymerizing an alicyclic methacrylate monomer using a persulfate as a polymerization initiator; and c) forming carrier particles by coating surfaces of core particles with a coating material obtained by mixing at least the first and second coating resin particles.

Method for producing carrier for developing electrostatic latent image and method for producing two-component developer

A process of forming an image includes the steps of: developing an electrostatic latent image with a toner, the latent image being formed through charge of the surface of an electrostatic latent image carrier and exposure of the surface to light; and applying a lubricant onto the surface of the electrostatic latent image carrier. The toner includes a toner matrix particle and an external additive nanoparticle. The external additive nanoparticle comprises a silica-polymer composite nanoparticle. A percentage of atomic silicon present on the surface of the silica-polymer composite nanoparticle satisfies Condition A expressed by Expression: 15.0 atm %&#x2266;percentage of atomic silicon ({Si/(C+O+Si)}&#xd7;100)&#x2266;30.0 atm %. The percentage of atomic silicon is determined from total amounts of atomic carbon, oxygen, and silicon present on the topmost surface of the silica-polymer composite nanoparticle and within 3 nm inwards from the topmost surface.

Image forming process

Disclosed is an electrostatic latent image developing toner which contains a toner host particle having a domain-matrix structure. The matrix contains an amorphous resin which contains a vinyl resin having an acid group, the domain contains a crystalline resin which is formed by combining a vinyl polymerized segment and a polyester polymerized segment. A content of the crystalline resin falls within a range from 3 to 30% by mass.

Electrostatic latent image developing toner and electrophotographic image forming method

A first calculation device is provided that calculates a ratio of a target torque equivalent value of an engine to a maximum torque equivalent value of the engine, as a pressure ratio equivalent value. A second calculation device is also provided that calculates a flow velocity of air to flowing through a throttle valve in the engine, based on the pressure ratio equivalent value calculated by the first calculation device. A third calculation device is further provided that calculates a target throttle valve opening, based on the flow velocity calculated by the second calculation device. With this configuration, the target opening of a throttle valve corresponding to the requested engine torque, without using the pressures before and after the throttle valve section.

Control apparatus for engine

An engine control apparatus includes a target air volume calculator which calculates a target air volume required by an engine, and an actual air volume calculator which calculates an actual air volume inhaled into a cylinder of the engine. The apparatus further includes an estimator which calculates the estimated value of subsequent actual air volume on the basis of a time lag from a time when the target air volume is calculated to a time when the actual air volume reaches the target air volume. The apparatus can accurately estimate an intake air volume inhaled into the cylinder to improve the controllability of the engine.
