Electric actuator

An outer member of a rotation transmission device has an opening integral with an inner peripheral portion of the outer member. Engaging elements are disposed between an inner member and the inner peripheral portion. An outer ring is fitted to the inner peripheral portion. A first snap ring is attached to the inner peripheral portion. An inner ring is fitted to an end portion of the inner member at one axial end thereof. A second snap ring is attached to the end portion through the opening. A shaft is connected to the opening so as to be rotatable in unison with and coaxially with the outer member.

Rotation transmission device

A rotation transmission device is provided which includes rollers disposed between the inner periphery of an outer ring and the outer periphery of an inner ring; an armature supported to axially move when an electromagnet is energized; and a ball ramp mechanism which converts the axial movement of the armature into the motion/movement of a roller cage from an engaged position to a disengaged position. This rotation transmission device further incudes an annular cover member made of aluminum, an O-ring and an oil seal.

Rotation transmission device and steering device for a vehicle

A rotation braking device includes a clutch mechanism disposed between an inner member and an outer member. The clutch mechanism includes an electromagnetic actuator which controls relative rotation of the cage such that, due to the relative rotation, engaging elements are moved between an engaged position and a neutral position. An armature is rotationally fixed relative to the cage, and can be directly magnetically attracted to an electromagnet which is rotationally fixed relative a housing that houses the clutch mechanism. The outer member is directly supported in a radial direction by the housing and engages the housing so as to limit relative rotation relative to each other.

Rotation braking device

A clutch unit includes a lever-side clutch part to control transmission and interruption of rotational torque input through a lever operation and a brake-side clutch part to transmit the rotational torque from the lever-side clutch part to the output side and interrupt rotational torque reversely input from the output side. The brake-side clutch part includes an outer ring constrained in rotation, an output shaft to output the rotation, cylindrical rollers to control interruption of the rotational torque reversely input from the output shaft and transmission of the rotational torque input from the lever-side clutch part through engagement and disengagement between the outer ring and the output shaft, a friction ring to apply a rotational resistance to the output shaft, and a variable part to change the rotational resistance applied to the output shaft between the transmission and the interruption of the rotational torque.

Clutch unit

A power transmission device includes a selective rotation transmission mechanism for keeping the current drive mode of a vehicle. The selective rotation transmission mechanism includes a magnetized yoke, and a pressure receiving plate opposed to the yoke in the axial direction. In order to improve the stability of operation of the selective rotation transmission mechanism, the yoke and the pressure receiving plate are configured such that separated regions are defined between the yoke and the pressure receiving plate when the latter is attracted to the former such that at the separated regions, the yoke is not in contact with the pressure receiving plate.

Power transmission device

A clutch unit includes a lever-side clutch part to control transmission and interruption of rotational torque input through lever operation, and a brake-side clutch part to transmit the rotational torque from the lever-side clutch part to an output side, and interrupt rotational torque reversely input from the output side. The brake-side clutch part includes a cover constrained in rotation, an output shaft to output the rotation, an inner ring to receive the rotational torque input from the lever-side clutch part, and a cylindrical roller to control interruption of the rotational torque from the output shaft and transmission of the rotational torque from the inner ring through engagement and disengagement between an outer ring and the output shaft. The inner ring includes a slide gear which meshes with the cover during interruption of the rotational torque and is released from the meshing state during transmission of the rotational torque.

An automatic clutch device includes an axial force generating mechanism formed by an electric motor adjacent to the outer periphery of an end of an input shaft of a transmission, and a rotation-linear motion conversion mechanism for converting the rotation of the rotor of the electric motor to a linear motion of a release bearing. The rotation-linear motion conversion mechanism includes plural tubes having different diameters and slidably fitted one in another to form a telescopic tube assembly on the input shaft; and cam mechanisms each disposed between a respective opposed pair of the tubes for converting the rotation of the larger-diameter one of the pair of tubes to a linear motion of the smaller-diameter one of the pair.

Automatic clutch device

A clutch unit includes a lever-side clutch part to control transmission of rotational torque input through a lever operation, and a brake-side clutch part to transmit the rotational torque from the lever-side clutch part to an output side, and interrupt rotational torque from the output side. The brake-side clutch part includes an outer ring constrained in rotation, an output shaft configured to output the rotation, a cage arranged between the outer ring and the output shaft to receive the rotational torque from the lever-side clutch part, and a cylindrical roller to control the interruption of the rotational torque from the output shaft and the transmission of the rotational torque input from the cage through engagement and disengagement between the outer ring and the output shaft.

An oil pump driving device includes an oil pump to be driven by either of an engine and an electric motor, and is short in axial dimension. The oil pump driving device includes a first one-way clutch for transmitting motive power from the engine only in one direction, and a second one-way clutch for transmitting motive power from the electric motor only in the above one direction. The first one-way clutch is disposed within an opening formed in a partition wall of a transmission case. The oil pump includes a rotor having an inner peripheral portion defining a hollow space. The second one-way clutch is disposed inside of the inner peripheral portion of the rotor.

Oil pump driving device

An automatic clutch device includes an axial force generating mechanism including an electric motor arranged adjacent to the outer periphery of an end of an input shaft of a transmission, and a rotation-linear motion conversion mechanism for converting the rotation of the rotor of the electric motor to a linear motion of a release bearing. The rotation-linear motion conversion mechanism includes plural annular cam plates arranged in tandem on the input shaft, and torque cam mechanisms each disposed between each opposed pair of cam plates, for reduced size and improved responsiveness of the automatic clutch device.

A clutch unit includes a lever-side clutch part that controls transmission and interruption of rotational torque input through a lever operation, and a brake-side clutch part that transmits the rotational torque from the lever-side clutch part to an output side, and interrupts rotational torque reversely input from the output side. The brake-side clutch part includes an outer ring, which is constrained in rotation, an output shaft that outputs the rotation, and a cylindrical roller that controls the interruption of the rotational torque reversely input from the output shaft and the transmission of the rotational torque input from the lever-side clutch part through engagement and disengagement between the outer ring and the output shaft. The output shaft includes a slide gear, which meshes with a side plate during interruption of the rotational torque and does not mesh with the side plate during transmission of the rotational torque.

A rotation transmission device is provided in which a collision sound by an armature and a rotor is less likely to occur, and further the armature is stably attracted to the rotor. A buffer is provided between the armature and the rotor. The buffer is constituted by a metal annulus axially movably supported by the armature, and a rubber annulus configured such that as the armature approaches the rotor, the rubber annulus is axially compressed by the metal annulus and the armature. The rubber annulus has different axial thicknesses at different circumferential locations thereof such that when the degree of axial compression of the rubber annulus is large, the rubber annulus is axially compressed in its longer circumferential area than when the degree of axial compression of the rubber annulus is small.

A rotation transmission device includes an electromagnetic clutch including an armature, a rotor having an outer tubular portion and an inner tubular portion, and an electromagnet. A bearing support tube is provided at the outer end surface of a core supporting an electromagnetic coil of the electromagnet. A bearing is mounted in the bearing support tube so as to be axially fixed in position and not to be pulled out of the bearing support tube. The small-diameter tubular portion is provided at the end of the inner tubular portion of the rotor, and press-fitted in the bearing such that the rotor and the electromagnet form a unit.

A rotation transmission device is provided in which leakage of magnetism from an armature to a control retainer is reduced, and of which a two-way clutch can be operated accurately and reliably. This device includes a restricting arrangement for restricting the fitting amount between a coupling tube of the armature and a tubular portion of the control retainer such that a gap is defined between a back surface of the armature, with respect to its surface to be attracted to a rotor, and an end surface of the tubular portion, to prevent leakage of magnetism from the back surface of the armature to the end surface of the tubular portion when an electromagnet is energized and the armature is pulled to the rotor.
