An antenna for portable cellular telephone can adjust each of multiple antenna elements efficiently and independently to a predetermined resonance frequency. A first antenna element and second antenna element are mounted on and anchored to one common base. Terminals for feeding power to the first antenna element and the second antenna element are provided respectively. The terminals are coupled to matching circuits. This structure facilitates separate and efficient adjustment of resonance frequency of the first antenna element and the second antenna element.

The bottom end of conductive pin makes an elastic contact to a wiring pattern on wiring board.

Push switch

A thin push switch used in a portable electronic apparatus includes a less number of components jointed together without any adhesive controlled hardly, and can thus be favored with mass production. The push switch includes an insulating spacer having first cramp-locked tabs cramp-locked with the first terminals of a fixed plate and second cramp-locked tabs cramp-locked with the second terminals of a contact plate. The fixed plate includes a fixed contact, and the contact plate includes a movable contact. Accordingly, the contact plate, the insulating spacer, and the fixed plate can be joined together without an adhesive.

A push switch used in an electronic apparatus is provided which has a thin switch case in spite of fixed contacts embedded in the bottom of the case. When the push switch is depressed, a center fixed contact and an outer fixed contact both made of metal strip and embedded in the bottom of the switch case is electrically connected and disconnected to each other by a movable contact. In the fixed contacts, embedded thin portions are formed, which is thinner than that of the metal strip as the material. As the thin portions are embedded in the switch case, the overall thickness of the bottom of the case is reduced, thus contributing to the thinner push switch.

A push-on switch includes an insulating resin case which contains a main body , a central fixed contact point and an outer fixed contact point fixed on the back wall of a front-open recess A; a domed movable contact ; and an operating body supported by a cover . The case has an overhang , which stretches horizontally from the case in the upper part to be of a size greater than the size of main body . The overhang is provided with terminals electrically coupled with the central fixed contact point and the outer fixed contact point , respectively. In the above-configured switch, the constituent parts are simplyformed, and can be manufactured through easy mold machining or other processing methods.

Switch having improved contact performance

A helical coil and a top-helical type antenna using the same, wherein the helical coil has a plurality of either substantially U-shaped or nearly V-shaped branch portions made of a thin metallic sheet material. The branch portions are connected continuously in a manner to place their open ends alternately inversely, and the branch portions alternatively curve toward an obverse side and a reverse side of the metallic sheet to form each turn of the coil. A method for producing the helical coil includes continuously die cutting a member on a belt-shaped strip of electrically conductive metallic sheet, and alternately placing a plurality of either substantially U-shaped or substantially V-shaped branch portions with their open ends inversely. These substantially U or V-shaped branch portions are then connected with each other in the shape of a letter, with connection to the metallic sheet being held only by linkage portions at opposite sides. The helical coil is formed by alternately curving the branch portions of each of the members in a shape of substantially circular arc toward an obverse side and a reverse side of the metallic sheet. A bobbin is formed connecting each turn of the helical coil by either insert-injection molding or outsert-injection molding of electrically nonconductive material on the individual helical coil formed on metallic sheet and subsequently the linkage portions are sheared off of the metallic sheet.

A movable contact unit for a panel switch having (a) a substrate sheet of an insulating material having an electrically conductive layer on an entire upper surface, and provided with a opening at a predetermined position, (b) a dome-like movable contact of a thin resilient sheet metal placed in the opening of the substrate sheet, and (c) a dustproof sheet of an insulation film having flexibility, coated with an adhesive material on its underside, positioned over the opening of the substrate sheet, and adhesively conjoining the substrate sheet around a periphery of the opening and an upper part of the dome-like movable contact with the adhesive material. Also, a panel switch constructed of the movable contact unit placed and adhered on a substrate circuit board having stationary contact on its upper surface in a position such that the dome-like movable contact corresponds to the stationary contact.

In a panel switch movable contact body, and a panel switch using the movable contact body, the upwardly curved upper surface of a dome-shape movable contact 1 made of a thin elastic metal plate is bonded to a sheet 12 of insulating film whose lower surface is coated with an adhesive agent 12A, and the opening of the dome-shaped movable contact 1 is closed with a separator 13 which is bonded to the adhesive surface of the sheet 12. Hence, the panel switch movable contact body, and the panel using the latter is small in the number of components, and low in manufacturing cost, and can be assembled with high efficiency.

A push-on switch includes a contact substrate provided thereon with a switch contact assembly, and an elastically deformable member disposed on the switch contact assembly. The push-on switch further includes a push button having a plate portion and a tubular portion. The tubular portion extends downward from the peripheral edge of the plate portion to surround an upper portion of the elastically deformable member. The plate portion is formed with a recess on an underside thereof at its center. A bottom surface of the recess is placed on a top surface of the elastically deformable member. The push-on switch further includes a tubular case fixed to the contact substrate. The tubular case supports the tubular portion of the push button so as to be vertically movable in the tubular case.

Long-stroke push-on switch with reduced height

A movable contact element for a panel switch, wherein the movable contact element is protected against contamination until the movable contact element is assembled with a fixed contact element to form the panel switch. The movable contact element use a dome shaped inverting action type diagram made of a metal plate having a spring property. The diaphragm is fitted within an opening in a film by adhesive tape fixed to a convex side of the diaphragm and an upper surface of the film. A protective film with adhesive is glued to the lower surface side of the film to cover the concave portion of the diaphragm so as to protect the movable contact. The protective film is peeled away from the movable contact just before the movable contact is positioned over a fixed contact element and affixed thereto to form the panel switch.
