A light source device for endoscope includes a rotational body configured to rotate with a rotational axis as a center; a fluorescent body arranged in a predetermined area of the rotational body and configured to generate fluorescence by excitation light being radiated; an illuminating portion capable of selectively radiating excitation light of a first quantity and excitation light of a second quantity which is larger than the first quantity to a fluorescent body; and a control portion configured to switch between a first state of radiating the excitation light of the first quantity to the fluorescent body arranged in a first area and a second state of radiating the excitation light of the second quantity to the fluorescent body arranged in a second area.

Light source device for endoscope and endoscope system

A light source device for endoscope includes: an irradiation portion capable of radiating excitation light; a rotating body provided on an optical axis of the excitation light and configured to rotate with a rotating shaft as a center; a phosphor arranged in an irradiation area of the excitation light, and configured to generate fluorescence by being irradiated with the excitation light; a light quantity control portion configured to control irradiation intensity or irradiation time of the excitation light; and a rotation control portion configured to rotate the rotating body at a predetermined speed when the excitation light is radiated with a first irradiation intensity or time and rotate the rotating body faster than the predetermined speed when reducing the irradiation intensity or the irradiation time of the excitation light is reduced in the irradiation intensity or time vis-a-vis the first ones.

An endoscope connector includes: a fitting portion that has a cylindrical shape, and electrically connects an endoscope for observation of a subject to an external apparatus, the external apparatus processing information of the observed subject; a planar part provided on at least a portion of the cylindrical shape of the fitting portion; and an electroconductive part that is provided to be electrically conductive on the planar part and performs communication with the external apparatus.

Connector

An endoscope apparatus includes: first and second cooling units configured to cool first and second light source portions; an image pickup portion configured to generate a picked-up image; and a cooling control portion configured to control amounts of light emission of the light source portions while maintaining an amount-of-light ratio so that the brightness of the picked-up image becomes the target brightness and control cooling based on the information about the amount-of-light ratio and the brightness control information; wherein the cooling control portion decides a cooling capacity of the first cooling units and a cooling capacity of the second cooling units for cooling the respective light source portions for which the amounts of light emission are controlled, at the cooling ratio, so as to cause the light source portions to be included within a predetermined temperature range, based on the brightness control information.

Endoscope apparatus

The present invention provides a receptacle connector including: a grounding portion configured to ground a connection object; and a ground connection terminal that is configured to be switchably held in a first state in which the ground connection terminal is electrically separated from the grounding portion, or in a second state in which the ground connection terminal is electrically brought into conduction with the grounding portion. The ground connection terminal is switched between the first state and the second state in operative association with interlining of the plug connector and the fitting portion. In the first state, the grounding terminal and the grounding portion are electrically separated. In the second state, the grounding terminal and the grounding portion are electrically brought into conduction with each other through the ground connection terminal.

Receptacle connector

An endoscope system including a control section that controls an LED driving section to supply driving currents to LEDs of a plurality of colors to cause the LEDs to emit lights in a frame-sequential manner and a processor that divides a total exposure period in one frame period of the frame-sequential light emission into ratios of light emission periods for each of the respective colors obtained by dividing light amount ratios of the lights of the plurality of colors, which should be received in a CCD, respectively by respective maximum light emission intensities of the LEDs of the plurality of colors and sets respective maximum light emission periods of the LEDs of the plurality of colors.

Endoscope system with frame-sequential light emission

Provided is an endoscope system including: a light source apparatus detecting which color LED fails by a color sensor; a scope that irradiates a subject with illuminating light and takes in an optical image of the subject; a CCD that picks up an image of the optical image of the subject; a video processor that processes the picked up image; and a monitor that displays a processed image, wherein if a failure of any of the LEDs is detected by the color sensor, the light source apparatus generates illuminating light using LEDs of colors other than a color of the light-emitting device for which the failure is detected, and wherein the video processor switches image processing to image processing according to a color of the LED for which the failure is detected.

Endoscope system

A light source apparatus that generates a light to be supplied to an endoscope, which includes: LEDs of respective colors that emit lights; collimator lenses that receive emitted lights and emit the received lights; and illuminance sensors arranged at positions where the illuminance sensors can receive both of leak lights of the lights emitted from the LEDs of respective colors, which are not used as illumination lights, and lights emitted from the LEDs of respective colors and reflected by the collimator lenses.

An endoscope of the invention includes: an insertion portion including in a distal end portion thereof an image pickup portion for picking up an image of an object in a living body; an operation portion connected to a proximal end side of the insertion portion; a cable including a connector portion connectable to a processor for performing signal processing on a signal outputted when the image of the object is picked up; a light source portion for emitting light to illuminate the object, the light source portion being provided in the connector portion; a light transmitting portion for transmitting the light emitted from the light source portion to the distal end portion to emit the light to the object; and a heat-radiating portion capable of radiating heat emitted from the light source portion, the heat-radiating portion being provided in the connector portion.

Endoscope and medical system

A connector system includes a plug section, and a receptacle section having a concave portion in an inside of which the plug section can be inserted, wherein the plug section includes a flange portion including a first inclined surface portion which increases in diameter toward an extraction direction, and a second inclined surface portion which decreases in diameter toward the extraction direction on an extraction direction side of the first inclined surface portion, in which an inclination angle with respect to an insertion direction of the second inclined surface portion is larger than an inclination angle with respect to the insertion direction of the first inclined surface portion, and the receptacle section includes a ball which is placed to be projectable/retractable from a side surface portion of the concave portion.

A light source device for an endoscope, characterized by having a light source for supplying illuminating light to an object, endoscope connection unit optically connected to an endoscope that has discrimination information for discriminating the kind of endoscope, discrimination unit for discriminating the endoscope based on the discrimination information of the endoscope connected to the endoscope connection unit, change unit for the changing illumination condition of the illuminating light, and control unit for controlling the change unit based on the result of discrimination by the discrimination unit.

Controlling light source with endoscope type

A switching filter is provided in a light source device. The switching filter has a first dichroic filter which transmits illumination light in a first wavelength band from a lamp and a fluorescence observation filter which transmits at least illumination light in a second wavelength band and is rotatably provided such that the first dichroic filter and the fluorescence observation filter pass through an illumination light optical axis. An LED portion has a blue LED which emits illumination light in the first wavelength band toward the switching filter. A second dichroic filter capable of transmitting illumination light from the lamp and reflecting illumination light from the LED portion to a condenser lens is also arranged at the switching filter.

Light source device and endoscope apparatus using the same

A medical apparatus includes: a first illumination window through which a first illumination light from a first light source is irradiated to a subject; a second illumination window at different position than the first illumination window, through which a second illumination light from a second light source is irradiated to the subject; an electronic image pickup section which picks up subject images; an image creation section which generates observation images based on image pickup signals obtained by the electronic image pickup section; a light adjustment section which synchronously adjusts respective amounts of illumination lights irradiated from the first and second illumination windows; and a control unit which controls the light adjustment section or image creation section to maintain color tone of the observation image to a predetermined one according to increase/decrease of the illumination light amount from the first illumination window.

Medical apparatus

A first groove portion into which a first plug connector can fit and a second groove portion that surrounds the first groove portion and into which a second plug connector can fit are formed in a receptacle connector. By arranging first receiving-side contacts that contact against and conduct with contacts of the first plug connector in the first groove portion and arranging second receiving-side contacts that contact against and conduct with contacts of the second plug connector in the second groove portion, plug connectors with mutually different shapes and in which the number of contacts are mutually different can be easily and reliably connected to a common receptacle connector. It is therefore possible to reduce the mounting space of the receptacle connector to prevent an increase in the apparatus size, and also improve the usability.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector has a plurality of terminals arranged side-by-side in a horizontal direction. Each of the terminals has a first connection portion adapted to be connected with one of two members electrically connectable to each other via the electrical connector, and a second connection portion adapted to be connected with the other member. In the electrical connector, two or more first terminals consisting of a part of the terminals are arranged such that an inter-terminal pitch in the first connection portions thereof is equal to that in the second connection portions thereof, and two or more second terminals consisting of the remaining terminals other than the first terminals are arranged such that an inter-terminal pitch in the first connection portions thereof is less than that in the second connection portions thereof.
