A defining member is provided in the capping member which divides the inner space formed in the state that the nozzle forming face is sealed with the capping member into a first liquid receiving portion corresponding to the main nozzle opening array, and a second liquid receiving portion corresponding to the sub-nozzle opening array, and defines the first liquid receiving portion and the second liquid receiving portion so as to communicate with each other.
