A motor drive device includes a first drive circuit to control an energization period of a first upper arm switch and a first lower arm switch connected to one end of a coil, a second drive circuit to control an energization period of a second upper arm switch and a second lower arm switch connected to another end of the coil, a current detection circuit to detect current flowing through the coil and output a current detection signal indicating a detection result of the current, a first protection circuit to determine whether overcurrent has occurred based on the current detection signal and output a first enable signal indicating a determination result to the first drive circuit, and a second protection circuit to determine whether overcurrent has occurred based on the current detection signal and output a second enable signal indicating a determination result to the second drive circuit.

Motor drive device

A motor includes a sheet-metal cover accommodating a stator and a substrate and a wiring assembly electrically connected to the substrate. The cover includes a wiring lead port, which is open to a wall of the cover and communicates with an outside and an inside of the cover. The wiring assembly includes cables connected to the substrate and extending from the inside of the cover to the outside through the wiring lead port, a sleeve with a tubular shape into which the cables are inserted, the sleeve having an elastic modulus smaller than an elastic modulus of a coated portion of the cable, and a binder that bundles the cables through the sleeve. The sleeve is opposed to the wiring lead port from the inside of the cover, and an outer diameter of the sleeve is larger than an inner diameter of the wiring lead port.

A motor includes binding pins around which a coil lead wire is wound, and an end on one side in an axial direction of the binding pin and the coil lead wire are fixed to a surface facing one side in the axial direction of a substrate. An insulator assembly includes a substrate receiver contacting with the substrate from the other side in the axial direction. A heat sink is fixed to a cover, and an end on the other side in the axial direction of the heat sink presses down the integrated circuit mounted on the substrate toward the other side in the axial direction. The heat sink and the substrate receiver are disposed at positions where the heat sink and the substrate receiver overlap each other as viewed in the axial direction.

Motor

A motor includes a cover including a first cup body and a second cup body, each including a bottomed tubular shape. The first cup body and the second cup body are disposed with openings of the peripheral wall portions facing each other. The second cup body includes a bottom wall portion provided with stud bolts projecting from the bottom wall portion to one axial direction and spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction. An end surface of a heat sink, facing the one axial direction, is in contact with a portion positioned between the stud bolts adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction in a surface of the bottom wall portion of the second cup body in the other axial direction.

A motor includes a cover with first and second cup bodies. A flange portion of each of the first and second cup bodies includes first recesses recessed radially inward from an outer peripheral edge of the flange portion and evenly spaced apart in a circumferential direction of the flange portion, second recesses recessed radially inward from the outer peripheral edge of the flange portion, have a same circumferential width as that of the first recess, and are evenly spaced apart in the circumferential direction, a total number of the second recesses is the same as a total number of first recesses, and claw portions extending radially outward from a bottom surface of the corresponding second recess and have a circumferential width narrower than that of the second recess.

A motor unit includes a motor; a driving circuit that supplies a driving current to the motor; a shunt resistor; a rotation command input terminal; a pulse output terminal; a current detection unit detects a driving current measured by the shunt resistor; a driving control unit that controls supplying of the driving current; a storage unit that previously stores allowable range information; a current value determination unit that determines whether or not the current value of the driving current is included in the allowable range, and the allowable range information stored in the storage unit; and a signal generation unit that generates the pulse signal by setting a duty ratio of the pulse signal as a first duty ratio, and setting the duty ratio of the pulse signal as a second duty ratio different from the first duty ratio.
