A system includes memory chips mounted on a memory module each having an alert terminal that notifies that the memory chip has detected a predetermined error. The memory module has a first transmission line connected to alert terminals of memory chips, output terminal being connected to one end of the first transmission line, and a first termination resistor having an end connected to another end of the first transmission line. The system further includes a second transmission line having an end connected to the alert terminal and another end connected to a controller and a third transmission line having an end connected to a first input terminal on the memory module and a second end line and a second end having a voltage different from a voltage of another end of the first termination resistor.

Apparatuses and methods for coupling semiconductor devices of a memory module in a memory system

A method for extracting an accurate IBIS simulation model of a semiconductor device including a plurality of semiconductor chips comprises: extracting an AC characteristics model of a first output buffer in an IBIS simulation model by treating first and second output buffers of first and second semiconductor chips connected to a single external connection terminal as a transistor model and executing a transistor-level circuit simulation; calculating an output capacitance model of the first output buffer as an IBIS simulation model by adding output capacitances of the first and second output buffers as a transistor-level circuit simulation model; and synthesizing an IBIS simulation model of the first output buffer viewed from the external connection terminal by using the AC characteristics model and the output capacitance model.

Method for extracting IBIS simulation model

An ink jet recording apparatus includes: a head body provided with a nozzle and a pressure chamber; an actuator including a piezoelectric element and an electrode for applying a voltage across the piezoelectric element; and a driving circuit for supplying a driving signal to the electrode of the actuator. The driving signal includes, in one printing cycle, a pulse signal applied with an interval that is shorter than a predetermined pulse interval being equal to a Helmholtz period of a head, and a pulse signal applied with an interval that is longer than the predetermined pulse interval.

Ink jet recording apparatus

An ink jet recording apparatus includes: a head body provided with a nozzle and a pressure chamber; an actuator including a piezoelectric element and an electrode for applying a voltage across the piezoelectric element; and a driving circuit for supplying a driving signal to the electrode of the actuator. The driving circuit always supplies an auxiliary pulse signal in every printing cycle. When ink is to be discharged, the driving circuit supplies, after the auxiliary pulse signal is supplied, an ink discharge pulse signal for driving the actuator so that the ink is discharged and so that an ink meniscus vibration in the nozzle is resonant with that caused by the auxiliary pulse signal.

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a moving device which moves an inkjet head relative to a recording medium. When the head is moved relative to the recording medium by the moving device, a nozzle of the head ejects ink onto the recording medium, so that recording is carried out. The inkjet head includes (a) pressure chambers containing ink, (b) nozzles communicating through the pressure chambers, (c) piezoelectric elements, (d) piezoelectric actuators that deform to increase or decrease the capacities of the pressure chambers due to piezoelectric effect of the piezoelectric elements, and (e) a controller for driving the actuators at a frequency not less than 20 kHz. This structure allows the actuators to operate substantially noiseless, and an image can be recorded at higher speed.

Inkjet head and inkjet recording apparatus

In order to provide a miniaturized ink jet head having a piezoelectric actuator by which ink in a pressure chamber is emitted and to improve its productivity and reliability, a vibration plate is made up of two layers having different Young's moduli, i.e., a layer having a smaller Young's modulus and a layer having a greater Young's modulus. Further, the Young's modulus of each of the layers and is set at values ranging from 50 GPa to 350 GPa and the total thickness of the vibration plate is set at values ranging from 1 &mgr;m to 7 &mgr;m.

Ink jet head and method for the manufacture thereof

Formed on a surface of an oscillation plate on the side of a head main body portion is an intermediate layer having a window portion through which a displacement portion of the oscillation plate is exposed to a pressure chamber. The intermediate layer and a compartmenting wall of the main body portion are adhered together by an adhesive of electro-deposition resin. The intermediate layer is formed of copper, having a thickness of 5 &mgr;m, so that, when a part of the adhesive is forced out, such a forced-out adhesive portion will not adhere to the displacement portion of the oscillation plate.

A plurality of ink droplets are discharged from the same nozzle during one printing cycle so as to perform multiple gray level printing. A group of driving pulses including an initial pulse P a first subsequent pulse P and a second subsequent pulse P in one printing cycle is supplied to an actuator. Time intervals t t and t between pulses are set to satisfy t &lE;t <t &lE;t with respect to the natural period t of the actuator.

Ink-jet head and ink-jet type recording apparatus

In order to maximally improve the deformation characteristic of a piezoelectric actuator of an ink jet head so as to improve the printed image quality, the present invention newly provides expansion/contraction sections in the vicinity of a displacement section which is displaced in the thickness direction by the expansion/contraction in the planar direction of a piezoelectric layer in the piezoelectric actuator, wherein the expansion/contraction sections are expanded/contracted in the planar direction by the expansion/contraction of the piezoelectric layer in the planar direction, so that the displacement of the displacement section in the thickness direction is controlled by the expansion/contraction of the expansion/contraction section in the planar direction.

Ink jet head, method for producing the same, and ink jet type recording apparatus

There are provided an aqueous ballpoint pen refill which can produce tasteful writings or drawings with a plurality of colors and which gives an attractive impression, since the inks in the ink reservoir constitute an interesting pattern and also a process for producing the same. A plurality of aqueous inks Ia and Ib with different colors are charged into an ink reservoir having a point tip at the front end to form a vertical or horizontal layered structure or a spiral structure; the aqueous inks containing pigments as coloring agents respectively and each having a viscosity of 45 mPa.multidot.S or more; the specific gravity difference of the inks being not more than 0.05. Injection needles connected respectively to front ends of a plurality of ink tanks are inserted to the transparent ink reservoir, and the plurality of inks with different colors are injected while the injection needles are drawn out of the ink reservoir.

Aqueous ballpoint pen refill and process for producing the same

The fine-line pattern forming method is to form a pattern by transferring the pattern formed on the blanket of which surface is covered with an elastic material mainly composed of silicone resin, on a substrate on which a tack layer is formed. As an example thereof, the forming method of cathode-ray tube anode comprises a step of filling the groove of an intaglio with a graphite ink, a step of transferring the graphite ink in the groove of the intaglio on a blanket of which surface is covered with an elastic material mainly composed of silicone resin, a step of forming a tack layer on a substrate, a step of transferring and printing the pattern transferred on the blanket onto the substrate, a step of filling the groove of the intaglio with a phosphor ink, a step of transferring the ink in the groove of the intaglio on the blanket of which surface is covered with an elastic material mainly composed of silicone resin, a step of forming a tack layer on the substrate, a step of transferring and printing the pattern transferred on the blanket on the substrate on which the graphite pattern has been formed, a step of transferring an aluminum thin film possessing multiple pores as a metal-backed layer so as to cover a black matrix and a phosphor layer, and a step of firing the substrate covered with the aluminum thin film. The graphite ink comprises graphite powder, vehicle containing depolymerization type organic binder, and organic acid metal salt. The phosphor ink comprises phosphor powder and vehicle containing polymerization type organic binder.

Pattern forming method and ink compostion

The present invention intends to provide a gap-forming sheet for laminating a plurality of flat plate electrodes, for example, for controlling electron beam at high accuracy in a short period of time. Gap-forming sheets each including a support member formed by depolymerizing resin, gap members for providing gaps between the flat plate electrodes, and a bonding paste for bonding the flat plate electrodes, are held between the flat plate electrodes, which are baked to decompose the support members, and thus, by melting the bonding paste, the flat plate electrodes are joined together for lamination, with gaps being provided by the gap members.

An ultrasonic transducer for medical diagnostic examinations which comprises a transducer element having one surface through ultrasonic waves are emitted, an acoustic impedance matcher, and a contact member brought to contact with an object being examined and formed on the one surface of the ultrasonic transducer element.
