A pull print system includes a printing apparatus (MFP) that executes a print job, a pull print server that spools the print job to be executed as a pull print by the printing apparatus, and an electronic device that sends the print job to the pull print server. The pull print server sends to the electronic device setting information for a job setting being a setting of the print job, and when displaying a setting screen for the job setting, the electronic device displays the setting screen on which the setting information sent from the pull print server is reflected.

Pull print system

Provided is a pull printing system that is capable of improving security performance over that of a typical system. When authentication based on identification information and authentication information of a person providing a transmission instruction from a user terminal is successful, a pull printing server of the pull printing system correlates a printing job from the user terminal with identification information of a person providing an execution instruction from the user terminal, and spools the printing job. When authentication based on identification information and authentication information of a person providing the execution instruction from an MFP is successful, the pull printing server sets the printing job that is related with the identification information of the person providing the execution instruction as a target candidate of pull printing when spooling the printing job that is related with the identification information of the person providing the execution instruction.

Pull print system that improves security performance

A pull print system includes a print server and a print apparatus. The print server performs a raster-image processor (RIP) process based on print data received as job data from an external apparatus to generate printing image data as raster image data. The RIP process performed by the data generating unit is same as the RIP process performed by the print apparatus. The print apparatus requests to the print server the job data for the user whose login is accepted. The print server transmits to the print apparatus the printing image data of the job data as raster image data.

An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus and an information processing apparatus coupled to the network. The image forming apparatus stores, in a memory device, an information processing apparatus identifier that is assigned to a button of the image forming apparatus and transmits, to the information processing apparatus, press-down information of the button that includes the information processing apparatus identifier. The image forming apparatus additionally reads, if, in the information processing apparatus, it is determined the information processing apparatus identifier in the press-down information matches an information processing apparatus identifier stored within the information processing apparatus, a document image set in a scanner, in response to a scan execution request that is received from the information processing apparatus via the network. The image forming apparatus further transmits image data of the document image to the information processing apparatus via the network, and resets the press-down information.

An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus and an information processing apparatus coupled to the network. The image forming apparatus stores, in a memory device, an information processing apparatus identifier that is assigned to the button and transmits, to the information processing apparatus, press-down information that includes the information processing apparatus identifier corresponding to the button that is pressed-down, in response to a request for the press-down information that is received from the information processing apparatus via the network The image forming apparatus also prints, on a sheet, an image based on print job data that is received from the information processing apparatus via the network, if, in the information processing apparatus, it is determined that the information processing apparatus identifier in the press-down information matches with the information processing apparatus identifier of the information processing apparatus.
