According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate overlapping with the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a scanning line, a signal line, a switching element electrically connected to the scanning line and the signal line, and an organic insulating film including an aperture and overlapping with the scanning line, the signal line, and the switching element. The organic insulating film includes an upper surface facing the second substrate and a protruding portion protruding from the upper surface onto the second substrate to support the second substrate.

Display device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes first and second substrates and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes pixel electrodes and a first alignment film. The second substrate includes a common electrode and a second alignment film. The liquid crystal layer is provided between the alignment films and contains a streaky polymer and liquid crystal molecules. The first alignment film includes flat areas. A first director of the liquid crystal molecules located near the flat areas is substantially parallel to a horizontal plane in a state where no potential difference is formed between the pixel electrodes and the common electrode.

Display device and manufacturing method thereof

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a first transparent substrate, a scanning line, a signal line, a switching element, an organic insulating film including an aperture and overlapping with the scanning line, the signal line, and the switching element, and a first alignment film overlapping with the organic insulating film. The second substrate includes a second transparent substrate, and a second alignment film overlapping with the second transparent substrate. At least a part of a portion of the first alignment film, which overlaps with the organic insulating film, is in contact with the second alignment film.

According to an aspect, a display device includes: a display panel including an array substrate, a counter substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the array substrate and the counter substrate, and spacers projecting from the counter substrate toward the array substrate; a light-transmitting glass base member bonded to the display panel; and a light source that includes a light guide provided along a side surface of the array substrate, a side surface of the counter substrate, or a side surface of the glass base member, and light emitters facing the light guide. The array substrate includes: signal lines; scan lines; and switching elements coupled to the scan lines and the signal lines. The spacers are arranged in positions facing the respective switching elements and are provided with adhesion layers provided such that the counter substrate and the array substrate adhere to each other.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a sealant formed bonding the first substrate with the second substrate, a liquid crystal layer surrounded by the sealant, and a light emitting module. The sealant includes a first portion, a second portion opposed to the first portion with the liquid crystal layer sandwiched therebetween, an inlet formed in the second portion, and a filling material filled in the inlet. The liquid crystal layer is arranged over a display area where an image is displayed, a first area between the display area and the first portion, and a second area between the display area and the second portion, in plan view. A first width of the first area is larger than a width of the second area.

A display device includes: an array substrate; a counter substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the array substrate and the counter substrate; and a light source disposed so as to emit light into a side surface of the array substrate or a side surface of the counter substrate. The array substrate includes: signal lines arranged in a first direction with spaces interposed between the signal lines; scan lines arranged in a second direction with spaces interposed therebetween; a switching element coupled to a corresponding one of the scan lines and a corresponding one of the signal lines; an organic insulating layer that covers at least the switching element; and a metal layer provided on the upper side of the organic insulating layer so as to overlap the organic insulating layer. A positional misalignment portion of each signal line does not overlap a positional misalignment portion of the metal layer.

A display device includes a display region, a peripheral region around the display region, a sealing portion provided in the peripheral region to seal a liquid crystal layer, and a liquid crystal supply portion provided at a part of the sealing portion and interconnecting an outside of the sealing portion and the display region. The peripheral region includes a first peripheral region which is provided between the display region and the sealing portion and from which an insulating film is removed and a second peripheral region which is provided between the display region and the sealing portion and in which the insulating film covering a circuit is formed. A light blocking film arranged so as to straddle the first and second peripheral regions and extending linearly in an extending direction of a boundary between the first and second peripheral regions is formed on a substrate.

A display device includes a display region, a peripheral region around the display region, a sealing portion provided in the peripheral region to seal the liquid crystal layer, and a liquid crystal supply portion provided at a part of the sealing portion and interconnecting an outside of the sealing portion and the display region. The liquid crystal supply portion is provided along one side of the peripheral region. The peripheral region includes a first peripheral region located between the display region and the sealing portion. An insulating film is removed in the first peripheral region. In the first peripheral region, a plurality of second spacer members and a plurality of third spacer members to support the plurality of second spacer members are provided.

A magnetic resonance diagnostic apparatus is configured in such a manner that: a high-frequency transmission coil transmits a high-frequency electromagnetic wave at a magnetic resonance frequency to an examined subject; a heating coil performs a heating process by radiating a high-frequency electromagnetic wave onto the examined subject at a frequency different from the magnetic resonance frequency; based on a magnetic resonance signal, a measuring unit measures the temperature of the examined subject changing due to the high-frequency electromagnetic wave radiated by the heating coil; and a control unit exercises control so that the measuring unit measures the temperature while the heating coil is performing the heating process, by ensuring that the transmission of the high-frequency electromagnetic wave by the high-frequency transmission coil and the radiation of the high-frequency electromagnetic wave by the heating coil are performed in parallel.

Magnetic resonance diagnostic apparatus

A bed system, for a CT scanner such as an MRI apparatus having a frame with an imaging space therein, in which rollers support a bed plate for carrying a body to be examined, and the bed plate is moved by a driver into and out of the imaging space of the frame.

To reduce the running cost of an MRI apparatus, power supplied to a normal conductive coil from a pre-regulator is reduced in an idling mode. This reduction in power also reduces the heat generated in the normal conductive coil and a shunt resistor. A computer controls a cooling unit according to the amount of the heat reduced in order to reduce to flow rate of a cooling medium. In this manner, the temperatures of the normal conductive coil and shunt resistor can be maintained at constant levels. Further, if a current value is set to maintain the temperatures of the normal conductive coil and shunt resistor at the constant levels only by natural heat radiating, circulation of the cooling medium can be stopped.
