A sheet processing apparatus includes a stacking unit configured to stack a plurality of sheets, an alignment unit including a supporting portion on which the sheets are loaded, the alignment unit being configured to align positions of the sheets loaded on the supporting portion, and a bonding unit configured to bond the sheets loaded on the supporting portion to each other. The alignment unit is configured to align a position of the second sheet stack with the first sheet stack. The bonding unit is configured to heat and pressurize the second sheet stack aligned by the alignment unit such that sheets of the second sheet stack are bonded to each other with the adhesive and the first sheet stack and the second sheet stack are bonded to each other with the adhesive.

A drive transmitting device includes a first gear; a second gear in engagement with the first gear; wherein a first tooth which is at least one of teeth of the first gear has a tooth surface contacting a tooth of the second gear, wherein the tooth surface has such a shape that a contact point of the first tooth of the first gear to the tooth of the second gear is in a region of a first gear side with respect to a line of action which is formed by movement of a contact point between a tooth of the second gear and a second tooth of the first gear immediately before the first tooth with respect to a rotational moving direction of the first gear.

Driving force transmitting device, sheet feeding apparatus and image forming apparatus

An image forming unit forms an image on a sheet. The sheet is conveyed through a conveyance path after the image has been formed on the sheet. A reading unit reads the image formed on the sheet in the conveyance path. A conveyance guide constitutes a portion of the conveyance path and guides the sheet. A pressing unit presses the reading unit against the sheet. A connection unit connects the reading unit and the conveyance guide such that the reading unit and the conveyance guide move in an interlocked manner.

Technique for conveying reading unit while pressed against sheet

A motor control apparatus includes a motor, a motor driver to drive the motor, a motor current detection unit, a motor state estimation unit, a motor control unit, and first and second abnormality detection units. The motor current detection unit detects a current value of the motor. The motor state estimation unit estimates a state of the motor based on a voltage applied to the motor and the detected current value. The motor control unit applies a driving voltage of first driving corresponding to the estimated state of the motor or apply a driving voltage of second driving, which does not use the estimated motor state, to the motor driver. The first abnormality detection unit detects a rotation abnormality of the motor based on the estimated motor state. The second abnormality detection unit detects the rotation abnormality of the motor based on the detected current value of the motor.

Motor control apparatus and control method of the same

Provided is a one-way clutch in which a rotating direction of a first rotating member with respect to a second rotating member is switched. The first rotating member includes a recessed portion that receives a planetary gear and, in an outer circumferential portion thereof, an engaging portion that engages with the planetary gear, whereby relative rotation of the planetary gear and the first and second rotating members is switched to rotatable and unrotatable. When the first rotating member is relatively rotating with respect to the second rotating member, the planetary gear meshes with an internal gear of the second rotating member, and the position of the planetary gear is thereby restricted.

One-way clutch

In order to shorten an activation time while realizing stable motor control, a motor control apparatus operable to control a motor is provided. The apparatus controls so as to drive the motor by the forced commutation control in a duration from a start of control of the motor until a first time period elapses, and control so as to drive the motor by the vector control after the first time period has elapsed. In addition, the apparatus controls an execution frequency of a current detection and a rotation speed estimation. The apparatus controls so that a first execution frequency in a second time period after a switch is made from driving by the forced commutation control to driving by the vector control is greater than a second execution frequency in a third time period subsequent to the second time period.

Motor control apparatus and method of controlling the same

A feeding apparatus includes a feeding member, first and second conveying members, a separation member, and drive and control units. The feeding member feeds a recording material placed on a tray. The separation member and the first conveying member form a nip portion and separates recording materials at the nip portion. The second conveying member conveys a conveyed recording material. The drive unit drives at least the feeding member. The control unit controls to feed first and second recording materials such that a second recording material front edge passes the nip portion before a first recording material rear edge passes the nip portion, and controls to stop the second recording material after the second recording material front edge has passed the nip portion such that the first recording material rear edge reaches the second conveying member before the second recording material front edge reaches the second conveying member.

Image forming apparatus and feeding apparatus

A discharge unit discharges a sheet having an image thereon. A switching unit switches between stacking the sheet discharged from the discharge unit on a stacking unit or conveying the sheet from the discharge unit toward an image reading apparatus. A conveyance unit conveys the sheet conveyed via the switching unit to a reading unit. A cooling unit cools the sheet discharged from the discharge unit or cools the reading unit.

Image forming system and image forming apparatus

A drive transmission device includes: a first rotating member that rotates with driving power received from a driving source, a second rotating member that rotates with driving power from the first rotating member, and a driving-side engagement member and a driven-side engagement member for transmitting the driving power of the first rotating member to the second rotating member, wherein the driving-side engagement member and the driven-side engagement member engage with each other in a state in which the first rotating member is rotating whereby a power applying portion and a power receiving portion engage with each other while resisting against a second biasing power.

A control device comprises a driving unit configured to drive a plurality of coils of a multiple-phase motor by pulse width modulation; a detection unit configured to detect currents flowing through the plurality of coils in a time-division manner; and a change unit configured to change, in accordance with a duty in the pulse width modulation, a sequence of detecting the currents flowing through the plurality of coils by the detection unit.

An image forming apparatus includes a discharging portion to discharge a sheet on which the image has been formed, an image reading portion to read the image formed on the sheet, and a switching portion to switch between a first position where the discharged sheet is conveyed to a supporting portion and a second position where the discharged sheet is conveyed toward the image reading portion. The sheet conveyed toward the image reading portion is conveyed to a reading position after conveyance of the sheet by the discharging portion is finished, and the control portion conveys the sheet at a first conveyance speed in a period before a trailing end of the sheet is released from the discharging portion and conveys the sheet at a second conveyance speed different from the first conveyance speed in a period after the trailing end of the sheet is released from the discharging portion.

Image forming apparatus

A sheet feeder includes a first rotary member, a separation member that cooperates with the first rotary member in holding the sheet between the separation member and the first rotary member to define a separation nip, a conveyance unit disposed downstream of the separation nip in a conveyance direction of the sheet, a driving unit, and a control unit. The first rotary member feeds a sheet. The conveyance unit conveys the sheet. The driving unit drives the first rotary member. The control unit controls the driving unit to stop driving the first rotary member when a leading edge of the sheet reaches the conveyance unit, and controls the driving unit to restart driving the first rotary member when a trailing edge portion of the sheet comes out of the separation nip.

Sheet feeder, image forming apparatus, and image forming system

An image forming apparatus including an image forming unit, first and second discharging portions, first and second supporting portions, an image reading portion, and first and second switching portions is provided. The first switching portion switches between causing a sheet bearing an image formed by the image forming unit to be discharged to the first supporting portion by the first discharging portion and causing the sheet to be conveyed toward the image reading portion that reads the image. The second switching portion switches between causing the sheet whose image has been read to be conveyed toward the second discharging portion that discharges the sheet whose image has been read to the second supporting portion and causing the sheet to be conveyed toward the image forming unit. The image reading portion is disposed above the first discharging portion and further on the inside of the apparatus than the second switching portion.
