A transmission for vehicles is provided with a plurality of drive gears, an input shaft connected to the drive shaft of an engine, an output shaft disposed parallel to the input shaft, a driven gear which meshes with each drive gear and is rotatably disposed on the output shaft, a synchromesh mechanism which has a sleeve movable in the axial direction of the output shaft, is engageable with a side portion of the driven gear, and couples the driven gear to the output shaft, and a parking gear formed integrally with the sleeve of the synchromesh mechanism. The parking gear and the bearing on the shaft end radially overlap each other. With this structure, the transmission is composed with a small number of components and has a reduced width.

Transmission for vehicles

A transmission, includes: a plurality of shift members, adapted to be moved in a shifting direction and a selecting direction; a shift lug, having a pair of claw portions spaced apart from each other in the shifting direction; and a shift fork, connected to the shift lug via a shift rail. The shift members are moved by an actuator so that one of the shift members pushes one of the claw portions in the shifting direction to thereby selectively move the shift lug in the shifting direction so as to cause the shift fork to perform a gear shift operation via the shift rail. The shift members are disposed as to be offset from each other in the shifting direction.

Transmission

A transmission includes: a shift member, adapted to be moved in a shifting direction and a selecting direction; a shift lug, having a pair of claw portions spaced apart from each other in the shifting direction; and a shift fork, connected to the shift lug via a shift rail. The shift member is moved by an actuator to push one of the claw portions in the shifting direction to thereby selectively move the shift lug in the shifting direction so as to cause the shift fork to perform a gear shift operation via the shift rail. The pair of claw portions are disposed so as to be offset from each other in the selecting direction.

A parking mechanism of a transmission includes a parking sprocket plug having a pawl portion to be engaged with a parking gear, a parking rod which has a bulge portion and causes the parking sprocket plug to operate, and a bracket which has a rod support member supporting the parking rod. The parking sprocket plug also has a support piece. When the bulge portion is disengaged from a projection, the support piece is hooked on the bulge portion, and the parking sprocket plug is supported in a position where the pawl portion is disengaged from the parking gear. Thereby, a parking mechanism which incurs no malfunction and requires small force for operation is provided.
