An information processing apparatus having a scanner and a magnetic disk, both for supplying data to be stored, and an optical disk for storing the supplied data. The scanner supplies image data. The magnetic disk supplies code data such as document data and drawing data. The processing apparatus stores the image data and the code data into the optical disk, each type of data having a flag indicating its type.

Image processing device

An information processing apparatus is provided with an optical disk for storing image data and code data. The code data stored in the optical disk have different data format. The optical disk further stores a flag indicating the data format of each code data. When retrieving the code data from optical disk, the processing apparatus processes the retrieved code data according to the data format indicated by the flag, and stores the processed data into a floppy disk.

A document rearranging system is disclosed which includes an optical disk device storing a totality of electrical image information representing paper documents, a first CRT for displaying new document image information to be filed, and a second CRT for selectively displaying a first image presenting a perspective pictorial illustration of an actual work place in which various types of document filing office equipment including a desk with drawers and a filing cabinet are arranged and a second image representing desired one set of filing holders among a plurality of sets of filing holders in the office equipments. A CPU section is provided to: cause the second CRT to display the first image; change a display screen so as to display the second image which enlarges and illustrates the set of filing holders contained in one office equipment selected by the operator who refers to a conceptual work place image displayed on the second CRT; produce code data specifying a holder image component selected by the operator; and correlate the document information with the electrical code data to store the document information in the optical disk device.

Document rearrangement system

A solid-state optical device with a plurality of cells having a plurality of optical functions is disclosed. Each of the cells comprises a transparent substrate, an anti-reflection film formed on the lower surface of the transparent substrate, a MOS transistor and a capacitor formed on the upper surface of the transparent substrate, a liquid crystal display device formed on the MOS transistor and capacitor, and window for leading a light signal incident on the liquid crystal display device from above to the transparent substrate. At least either a channel region of the MOS transistor and a region intervening between pair electrodes of the capacitor is formed of a photoconductive film. A transparent medium intervenes between the transparent substrate and photoconductive film such that light signal led through the window to the transparent substrate is reflected by an object disposed in contact with anti-reflection film to reach the photoconductive film, thereby generating carriers therein.

Solid-state device having a plurality of optical functions

A recording system has a thermal head having a plurality of thermal heating resistive elements aligned in line and a drive circuit for selectively energizing the thermal heating resistive elements to record image data for one line. The recording system also has a calculator for calculating supply energy data supplied to each resistive element for recording one-line image data in accordance with the one-line image data and the storage energy stored in each of the resistive elements after the immediately preceding line is recorded. A control circuit controls the supply energy supplied to each resistive element through drive circuits in response to the supply energy data.

Thermal recording system

The character reading system is provided with a pretreating system for a pattern recognition and a picture translation wherein a pattern signal obtained by scanning a character pattern on a recording medium is processed at such high threshold level that does not contain a noise component to form a primary kernel pattern, and the pattern signal is processed at such low threshold level that contains said character pattern to obtain a reference pattern. The kernel pattern and the reference pattern are masked on a memory device to have predetermined size and subjected to connecting operation when they are read out by forward scanning to form a connected secondary kernel pattern. The secondary kernel pattern and the reference pattern are masked to have predetermined size and then reversely scanned to subject both patterns to the second connecting operation thereby producing a last kernel pattern.
