An apparatus and a method of remote control which can enable real time operation of a device in home from a terminal device at remote location through a network are provided. A first server communicates with a terminal device through the Internet and generates device control data for controlling the device. A second server communicates with the device in a predetermined manner to acquire and store a specific address of the device, generates transmission data for transmission of the received device control data from the first server to the device based on the specific address, and transmits the transmission data to the device. This allows real time control of the device from the terminal device through the network to be realized.

Remote control device, remote control method, and remote-controllable device

A remote control system detects an operating status of various devices through the Internet in real time. A remote controller, which enables a terminal device to control an operation of a device through a network, acquires and stores a latest address of the device by communicating with the device at predetermined time intervals through the network. A status notification request referring to the stored address is transmitted through the network. In response, the remote controller receives status information from the device, stores the status information received from the device, and transmits the stored status information to the terminal device through the network.

Remote control device, remote control method, and remotely controlled device

A remote control system in which an instruction from a remote terminal is transmitted to a controlled device through a remote control device. Device unique data which is information specific to the controlled device is stored in the remote control device or the controlled device. The remote control device generates WEB display data to be displayed on the remote terminal based on a device type of the controlled device and the device unique data. Alternatively, the remote control device generates WEB display data based on the device unique data stored in the controlled device. Thus, even when a new type of controlled device is developed, or even when the function for the controlled device is extended, it does not need to modify programs for achieving functions of the remote control device. Accordingly, it facilitates a change of an operational screen of the terminal in response to those changes.

The present invention provides a remote control apparatus comprising a controlled appliance and a server being connected via communication means, in which if data stored in the server is present, a notice command is promptly issued to the corresponding controlled appliance, and the controlled appliance having received the notice command automatically transmits a data acquisition request and receives the data stored in the server, whereby complicated operation by the user is not necessary and the capacity of the storage device of the server can be suppressed significantly.

Remote control apparatus

A remote control relay device is connected between a network and a controlled device. The controlled device is remotely controlled from an external device over the network. The remote control relay device includes a communication controller, a storage memory, a control memory and a write controller. The communication controller exchanges control data with the external device over the network. The storage memory stores control data. The control memory stores control data used for external device authentication. The write controller controls sending and receiving of control data by the communication controller, reading of control data stored in the storage memory, and writing of control data to the control memory. The write controller reads and writes control data from the storage memory to the control memory only in response to operations that are not executed over the network.

Remote control relay device, recording and playback apparatus, and method for updating control data

In a video signal recording and playing-back apparatus, a controller sets a preset time with a timer, and a first communicator transmits a message of starting the preset time to a video signal displaying apparatus when the time comes. In the video signal displaying apparatus, a second communicator receives the message from the first communicator, and a display controller instructs a display section to indicate the message of starting the preset time. The display section indicates the message regardless of a selection selected by a channel selector. A user can thus receive a notice of starting the preset time regardless of a present active channel on the video signal displaying apparatus.

Video signal recording and playing-back apparatus and video signal displaying apparatus

A data transfer unit is connected with an external nonvolatile memory storing a correction program and the like data, and it transfers the correction program, etc. of the external nonvolatile memory to an internal nonvolatile memory upon detecting it having been connected with the external nonvolatile memory. The external nonvolatile memory is disconnected from the data transfer unit after completion of the data transfer. When a CPU unit is reset thereafter, it transfers the correction program, etc. to a RAM unit, executes a program in a ROM unit, and also executes the correction program in the RAM unit upon reaching a correcting point stored in the RAM unit.

Electronic equipment

A channel selection apparatus for sorting broadcast signals detects parity errors of plural broadcast signals transmitted from the same broadcasting station. The tuned frequency of the broadcast signal is shifted from the frequency of a normal broadcast signal by a predetermined value. As a result, field intensity of the broadcast signal correlates more closely with a parity error rate. The channel selection apparatus thus can sort broadcast signals in the order of fewer error rates and assign them to tuning buttons in the order of easier selecting operation.

Channel selection apparatus

A loading vehicle has a boom pivotally mounted thereon for movement in a vertical plane, the boom supporting a loading unit at its distal end. A fluid control system includes a boom cylinder for raising and lowering the boom, a loading unit cylinder for tilting the loading unit relative to the boom, a tank for holding fluid and a pump for selectively pumping fluid to the cylinders through manually controlled selector valves. The loading unit attitude is controlled by a system including a bypass valve, a flow splitting valve and a boom position detector for actuating the bypass valve. Fluid forced from a lowering chamber of the boom cylinder as the boom is raised is applied to the bypass valve. As long as the boom is in a position falling within a lower range of positions the boom position detector does not actuate the bypass valve and all fluid from the lowering chamber is diverted to the tank. When the boom moves out of the lower range of positions the detector actuates the bypass valve and it diverts all fluid from the lowering chamber to the flow splitting valve which splits the flow. A first split flow is returned to the tank and a second split flow is applied to a lowering chamber of the loading unit cylinder to tilt the loading unit relative to the boom as the boom is raised.

Loading unit attitude control system

A restraining device for limiting forward movement of an operator of a wheeled mechanical vehicle in case of a collision includes two restraining bars pivotally mounted at opposite sides of a seat and extending toward one another. The restraining bars are mounted so as to pivot in a vertical plane about axes which are parallel to each other and lie on opposite sides of the seat. The restraining bars are synchronized or interlocked so that when one bar is raised or lowered by the occupant of the seat the other bar is also moved. A lock or retention device on one side of the seat holds the restraining bars in the lowered or raised position after they have been positioned by the occupant. The vehicle may be a forklift or front end loader and the run controls and load controls of the vehicle are interlocked with the synchronizing mechanism so that the run and load controls cannot be operated when the restraining bars are not in the occupant restraining position.
