The present disclosure relates to an IC chip holder capable of alleviating an impact if the IC chip holder is dropped or collides with another object. In the IC chip holder, an upper housing body is provided, on a side of electric contacts of an IC chip, with an elastic deformation portion capable of elastically deforming toward the inside of the upper housing body. Thus, since the elastic deformation portion elastically deforms toward the inside of the upper housing body, if the IC chip holder is dropped or collides with another object, the elastic deformation portion bends and the impact is alleviated. Thus, a possibility of the IC chip being damaged is reduced.

A work-sheet feed apparatus in which an X carriage is coupled integrally with a coupling member. A working table structure is provided for a sewing machine having stitching units arranged on a support frame, a movable frame provided with workpiece holders for holding workpieces and movable in directions parallel to an X-axis perpendicular to the axes of the arms of the stitching units and in directions parallel to a Y-axis perpendicular to the X-axis, and driving mechanisms for driving the movable frame for movement in directions parallel to the X-axis and the Y-axis. The working table structure has at least one working table top disposed above the movable frame in directions parallel to the X-axis and removably supported on the support frame. Since the working table top is disposed above the range of movement of the movable frame with respect to its complete range of movement in directions parallel to the X-axis, the working table top will not interfere with the movable frame. Further, since the working table top is removable, maintenance service for the driving mechanisms can be carried out without any hindrance.

An embroidery data processing system controls an automatic sewing machine to produce an embroidery design having a blurred side or blurred boundary line between adjacent blocks which make up the embroidery design. The embroidery data processing system includes a first memory storage area for storing side information indicating sides of each of the blocks, a second memory storage area for storing thread density information indicating the thread density of stitches to be formed in said each block, a third memory stoage area for storing in/out patterns indicating how stitching points are to be displaced with respect to the sides of a selected one of the blocks, which are indicated by the side information, and a controller for calculating stitching points depending on the thread density information along the sides of the selected block according to the in/out patterns, and for calculating stitching points depending on the thread density information along the sides of another block than the selected block, which are indicated by the side information. A data processing device for a sewing machine stores basic pattern data indicating the relative position between a needle and a material holding unit and including X and Y components of an X-Y coordinate.
