An engine includes a dynamo-electric machine which generates electricity by the rotation of the engine; a secondary battery which stores electricity generated by the dynamo-electric machine; an electric supercharger including an electric compressor for supercharging intake air into combustion chambers; and a mechanical supercharger including an exhaust turbine configured to be driven by exhaust gas in the exhaust passage, and a mechanical compressor configured to supercharge intake air into the combustion chamber. An ECU () includes a remaining charge detector for detecting the remaining amount of charge of the secondary battery; and a supercharge control means for adjusting the ratio between a supercharging pressure by the electric supercharger and a supercharging pressure by the mechanical supercharger according to the remaining amount of charge of the secondary battery.

Engine control device

A control device of an engine, the engine including: a piston contained in a cylinder; an intake passage communicated to a combustion chamber of the cylinder; an exhaust passage led from the combustion chamber; a fuel injection valve configured to inject fuel to the combustion chamber or the intake passage; and an ignition unit provided in the combustion chamber, includes: a low speed pre-ignition predicting unit configured to perform prediction of occurrence of low speed pre-ignition, based on operation condition of the engine; and a lubricating oil injection controlling unit configured to control a lubricating oil injecting device to inject lubricating oil to the piston or a member located around the piston, based on the prediction of the occurrence of the low speed pre-ignition performed by the low speed pre-ignition predicting unit.

An engine control device for an engine provided with a supercharger, including a cylinder injection valve and a port injection valve. The device includes an injection controller that controls injections of fuel through the cylinder injection valve and through the port injection valve, on the basis of at least a load on an engine. The injection controller, in a low load operating state, causes the fuel to be injected through the port injection valve; in an intermediate load operating state, causes the fuel to be injected through the cylinder injection valve during an intake stroke, and causes the fuel to be injected through the port injection valve; and in a high load operating state, causes the fuel to be injected through the cylinder injection valve at least during an intake stroke and during a compression stroke.

According to the present invention, if a required power generation signal is supplied while a vehicle is decelerated in a fuel-efficiency-oriented control mode, an electrically-operated waste gate valve is operated so that opening of the electrically-operated waste gate valve is increased as the required power generation amount increases. Then, if it is determined that the vehicle is decelerated on the basis of accelerator opening and a vehicle speed, and fuel is cut off, an electronically controlled throttle valve is operated toward a fully opened side. In addition, if any one of following conditions is satisfied: the fuel-efficiency-oriented control mode is not selected; there is supply of a required output signal; and the vehicle is not decelerated, opening of the electrically-operated waste gate valve is adjusted so that output torque of an engine becomes a required output value.

A direct injection internal combustion engine employs a spray guided combustion method, wherein a fuel spray injected from a fuel injection valve is collected at an electrode section of a spark plug so that satisfactorily high combustion performance may be achieved even with a small amount of injected fuel. Direct injection internal combustion engine

The invention provides an in-cylinder injection type internal combustion engine that is capable of controlling gas flow velocity in the vicinity of an ignition part of a spark plug and maintaining an air-fuel mixture suitable for ignition for a long time. The engine includes deflecting partsthat have a passagelocated on a wall face of a combustion chamber between an injection partand an ignition part, and deflect a portion of the fuel injected from the injection partto indirectly direct the fuel to the vicinity of the ignition part. Due to the above construction, there is a difference in reaching timing between direct and indirect routes, and moreover a flow velocity of gas that reaches the ignition part is reduced by fuel deflection. An air-fuel mixture suitable for ignition therefore remains in the vicinity of the ignition part for a long time.

In-cylinder injection type internal combustion engine

In the top face of a piston (), there is formed a cavity () having a bottom surface () which slopes downward toward an exhaust side and which includes a raised part () extending from near the center of the bottom surface to an intake-side wall surface. The cavity guides fuel spray () which has been injected by an injector () and passed by an electrode part () of a spark plug (), to arrive near the electrode part of the spark plug again in the form of an air-fuel mixture ().
