A cooler includes: a narrow flow path that has a narrow cross-sectional area; a wide flow path that is connected to a downstream side of the narrow flow path, is in thermal contact with a heating body, and has a wide cross-sectional area; and at least one rectifying piece that is provided in an upstream portion of the wide flow path that is an upstream side from a position being in thermal contact with the heating body. A fluid refrigerant flows through the narrow flow path and the wide flow path, and heat generated by the heating body is radiated. The rectifying piece includes: a single first angle portion that protrudes toward the upstream side; and a first surface and a second surface that join at an acute angle to form the first angle portion.

Cooler and flow path unit

A printed circuit board with integrated coil includes: a plurality of layers; and coil patterns which are formed of a conductor and which are provided in at least one outer surface layer and another layer of the plurality of layers. A heat-dissipation pattern formed of a conductor is provided on at least the one outer surface layer so as to correspond to the coil pattern provided in the another layer. The coil pattern provided in the one outer surface layer and the heat-dissipation pattern provided in the one outer surface layer are separated from each other. A thermal inter-layer connector formed of a conductor is provided to connect the coil pattern provided in the another layer and the heat-dissipation pattern provided in the one outer surface layer which correspond to each other.

A voltage conversion apparatus includes connection terminals to which a battery, a capacitor, and a protected load are respectively connected, a first DC-DC converter having input/output terminals, a second DC-DC converter having input/output terminals, a first power path having one end connected to the first connection terminal and the other end connected to the first input/output terminal, a second power path having one end connected to the second input/output terminal and the other end connected to the third input/output terminal, a third power path having one end connected to the fourth input/output terminal and the other end connected to the second connection terminal, and a fourth power path having one end connected to a midway part of the second power path and the other end connected to the third connection terminal.

Voltage conversion apparatus

Charge efficiency of normal charge is improved without restricting an operation of a low-voltage load of an electric vehicle during the normal charge. During a charge of a high-voltage battery of a vehicle, when a determination of the normal charge is made, and when a determination that a mode switching target load is not operated is made, power saving mode transition processing is performed. Therefore, an operating mode of a DC-DC converter, which steps down a voltage at the high-voltage battery and supplies the stepped-down voltage to a low-voltage battery and a low-voltage load, is set to a power saving mode in which consumption power is reduced compared with a normal mode. When a determination that a start-up manipulation of the mode switching target load is performed is made, the operating mode of the DC-DC converter is changed to the normal mode.

Power conversion apparatus and power control method

Coil patterns are provided in first and second outer surface layers and an inner layer of the board. First and second heat-dissipation patterns are provided in the second outer surface layer. A first thermal inter-layer connection member connects the coil pattern of the first outer surface layer and the first heat-dissipation pattern. A second thermal inter-layer connection member connects the coil pattern of the inner layer and the second heat-dissipation pattern. The coil pattern provided in the second outer surface layer and the first and second heat-dissipation patterns are separated from each other. An area of the second heat-dissipation pattern is larger than an area of the first heat-dissipation pattern.

Magnetic device

A coil-integrated printed circuit board includes: a first outer layer which includes a first outer thick electric conductor made of a thick metallic foil and a first outer thin electric conductor made of a thin metallic foil having a thickness smaller than that of the first outer thick electric conductor, and which is exposed to an outside; and a first inner layer which includes an inner thick electric conductor made of a thick metallic foil, and which is not exposed to the outside. Coil patterns are respectively formed by the first outer thick electric conductor and the inner thick electric conductor. A first electronic component is surface-mounted on the first outer thin electric conductor provided on the outer layer.

Coil-integrated printed circuit board and magnetic device

A voltage drop of an output voltage of a DC-DC converter, caused by a wiring resistance, can properly be compensated at low cost. The DC-DC converter is connected to a low-voltage battery through an ignition switch and started up by the ignition switch. A transformation unit transforms a voltage inputted from a high-voltage battery and supplies the voltage to the low-voltage battery. A control circuit calculates a wiring resistance between the transformation unit and the low-voltage battery based on the voltage inputted from the low-voltage battery through the ignition switch in connecting the ignition switch and an output voltage and an output current of the transformation unit. The control circuit corrects a command value of the output voltage of the transformation unit based on the calculated wiring resistance to control the output voltage of the transformation unit. The invention can be applied to a DC-DC converter for electric-powered vehicle.

DC-DC converter

A power-supply control device for battery having a plurality of cells connected in series has a voltage conversion unit that steps down a voltage at the battery to supply the stepped-down voltage to a first load, a first opening and closing unit that opens and closes a supply path of first power from the battery to the voltage conversion unit and a second load, a battery control unit that detects abnormality of the battery, controls opening and closing of the first opening and closing unit, and is operated by second power supplied from the battery or third power supplied from the voltage conversion unit, the second power being lower than the first power, and a second opening and closing unit that opens and closes a supply path of the second power from the battery to the battery control unit.

Power-supply control device

A DC-DC converter includes a power conversion unit, a load amount detector, a charge detector that detects whether or not a battery is being charged, a switching frequency setting unit, and a switching controller. The load amount detector detects a load amount of the power conversion unit. The switching frequency setting unit sets a switching frequency of a switching element based on the load amount when the charge detector detects that the battery is not being charged, and sets the switching frequency of the switching element to a predetermined value when the charge detector detects that the battery is being charged.

A system simplification can be achieved by reducing the number of sensors required to detect currents and voltages when an output current is estimated. A switching power supply deviceincludes a current transformer, a switching circuit, a rectifying circuit, a smoothing circuit, an input voltage detecting circuit, a control part, an output voltage detecting circuitand a PWM signal generating part. The control partcalculates a duty rate and an average value of voltage of the secondary side voltage of the current transformerdetected by the input voltage detecting circuitbased on a waveform of the detected voltage. The control partcalculates an output current lo based on the calculated duty rate, the calculated average value of voltage and an output voltage Vo detected by the output voltage detecting circuit
