An air-conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit and a controller. The refrigerant circuit includes a main circuit and a bypass circuit. The bypass circuit is connected, by a pipe, to each of a plurality of parallel outdoor heat exchangers via a defrosting refrigerant pressure-reducing device, a defrosting flow passage switching device, and a backflow prevention device. The controller switches a flow passage for use in introduction of refrigerant using the defrosting flow passage switching device, to select one of the plurality of parallel outdoor heat exchangers as a defrosting target to be defrosted; and supplies defrosting refrigerant whose pressure is reduced by the defrosting refrigerant pressure-reducing device to the selected one of the plurality of parallel outdoor heat exchangers.

Air-conditioning apparatus with defrost bypass circuit

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit, an air-conditioning load state detection unit, an operation-state detection unit, and a controller. The refrigerant circuit includes a main circuit and a bypass circuit. The air-conditioning apparatus has a simultaneous heating and defrosting operation mode. In the simultaneous heating and defrosting operation mode, the controller controls a compressor, a pressure reducing device, and a defrosting refrigerant pressure-reducing device such that control amounts of the compressor, the pressure reducing device, and the defrosting refrigerant pressure-reducing device reach respective normal-time control target values that are set based on an air-conditioning load state and an operation state.

Air-conditioning apparatus

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a controller configured to operate in a heating normal operation mode and a heating-defrosting operation mode. In a case of switching from the heating normal operation mode to the heating-defrosting operation mode, the controller makes a selection from an initial control mode 1, in which control is performed such that an initial frequency of the compressor is set to a predetermined maximum frequency and an initial opening degree of the flow control device is set to an opening degree lower than a predetermined maximum opening degree, and an initial control mode 2, in which control is performed such that the initial opening degree of the flow control device is set to the predetermined maximum opening degree and the initial frequency of the compressor is set to a frequency lower than the predetermined maximum frequency, to execute the heating-defrosting operation mode.

An air-conditioning apparatus is able to ensure an appropriate flow rate of refrigerant and an appropriate amount of oil returned to a compressor that match operation conditions regardless of an operating state of a refrigerant circuit and a change in an operation condition. The air-conditioning apparatus includes: a first detector configured to detect a refrigerant temperature within an accumulator; a storage unit configured to store information regarding a two-layer separation temperature of refrigerant and refrigerating machine oil; a determiner configured to compare the refrigerant temperature with the two-layer separation temperature and determine a two-layer separation state of the refrigerant and the refrigerating machine oil; a second detector configured to detect a state of the refrigerant sucked by the compressor; and a control unit configured to adjust an opening degree of a flow control valve on the basis of the two-layer separation state and a state of the sucked refrigerant.

A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes low-pressure side pressure detecting means for detecting the pressure of a refrigerant being sucked by a compressor, suction refrigerant temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of the refrigerant being sucked by the compressor, frequency detecting means for detecting the operation frequency of the compressor, cooling target fluid inflow temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of a cooling target fluid flowing in an evaporator, cooling target fluid outflow temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of the cooling target fluid flowing out of the evaporator, and flow rate calculating means (measuring unit, computing unit, and storage unit) for calculating the absolute quantity of the flow rate of the cooling target fluid flowing in the evaporator using a value detected by each detecting means.

Refrigeration cycle apparatus

A disc brake that suppresses braking noises when a vehicle moves backward include an urging spring urging a friction pad toward a rotationally exiting side of a disc when the vehicle moves forward, the urging spring being arranged between a hook portion of the friction pad and a torque receiving portion of a carrier. The urging spring formed through bend of an elastic plate material has its spring constant that is set to be a small value to avoid resonance frequency causing noise where the base end side thereof is fixed to the hook portion of the backing plate while the top end side thereof elastically abuts to the torque receiving portion of the carrier. The urging spring is located at the position that is outside in the radial direction from the center position of the hook portion in its width direction.

To provide a higher sealing capability irrespective of the pressure difference between compression chambers, lips having leading ends extended toward the inner surface of a recessed groove are formed. At least some of the lips have a base end that is shaped to reduce rigidity against extension of the lips.

Scroll fluid machine having seal member with plural linear cut arrangement

This invention provides a scroll type fluid machine which can simultaneously realize the stabilization of the behavior in the rotational direction of an orbiting scroll and the reduction in the manufacturing cost by the ease of holding a grease. In the scroll type fluid machine, three pairs of rotation prevention mechanisms are provided between a casing and an orbiting scroll. The rotation prevention mechanism is constituted of first and second ball coupling mechanisms having a function different from each other. The first ball coupling mechanism supports the thrust load of the orbiting scroll. Meanwhile, the second ball coupling mechanism supports the rotation force of the orbiting scroll.

Vehicle safety control apparatus for avoiding collision

In a seal system for a scroll type fluid machine, a seal mechanism is provided between a backpressure plate and a holder, so as to surround an orbiting backpressure chamber. The seal member comprises a seal attachment groove, a seal member and a Y-shaped packing. The seal attachment groove is stepped on its outer circumference to define a shallow bottom portion. The seal member includes, on its outer circumference side, a cutout portion matching the shallow bottom portion. The Y-shaped packing is disposed between a deep groove peripheral wall of the seal attachment groove and the cutout portion of the seal member, and a backpressure chamber is defined on a reverse surface side of the seal member. By this arrangement, a slide surface of the seal member can be larger than an effective area of the backpressure side of the seal member. Thereby it is possible to reduce a difference between a load Ff acting on the slide surface and a load Fb acting on the reverse surface.

Seal system and scroll type fluid machine

A scroll fluid machine is capable of readily providing a back-pressure chamber having an increased pressure-receiving area and yet capable of being reduced in size. A fixed scroll member is secured to a casing. An orbiting scroll member is provided at a position facing the fixed scroll member. A holder is provided at the back of the orbiting scroll member, and a coupling member is provided to face the orbiting scroll member across the holder. The coupling member couples together the orbiting scroll member and a driving shaft and performs an orbiting motion together with the orbiting scroll member. A back-pressure plate is provided at the back of the orbiting scroll member, and a back-pressure chamber is formed between the back-pressure plate and the holder.

The present invention provides a scroll type fluid machine which enables both of a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll to be cooled by means of a cooling fan, and which enables an overall size of the machine to be compact. Compression portionsA andB are operated by rotatably driving the rotary shaftusing the electric motor. In this instance, the cooling fansA andB are rotated with the rotary shaft. Therefore, with a simple structure having no electric fans, the fixed scrollsA andB, the orbiting scrollsA andB and the cooling devicecan be efficiently cooled, and a compressor having a compact size and a high cooling performance can be formed.

Scroll type fluid machinery

Inner peripheral projections are provided on the inner peripheral surface of a wrap portion of an orbiting scroll member, and outer peripheral projections are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the wrap portion. The inner and outer peripheral projections each have an approximately triangular transverse sectional configuration defined by a narrow top of the projection and a pair of concavely arcuate surfaces extending with a wide overall width so that the projections can prevent stress concentration with the concavely arcuate surfaces to increase the mechanical strength and can be readily machined by using a tool, e.g. an end mill. When contacting the mating wrap portion, the narrow tops of the projections are readily crushed or worn. Therefore, the tops of the projections can become fit to the wrap portion without strongly contacting it many times.
