An information processing device includes a categorizing section and a display control section. The categorizing section extracts a material component image identified as a material component from plural images obtained by imaging a sample fluid containing plural types of material element, and categorizes the extracted material component image serving as a detected component by predetermined category. The display control section performs control to re-categorize a material component image serving as the detected component already categorized into a different category, such that, when selection of a movement destination category is received in a state in which a first image list of detected components is being displayed, in a subsequent state in which the first image list and a second image list for the movement destination are being displayed at the same time, a material component image selected from the first image list is moved to the second image list.

A diagnosis support apparatus which supports diagnosis based on information associated with a diagnosis name in advance is provided. In the diagnosis support apparatus, an acquisition unit acquires the diagnosis name set by a user. A providing unit provides negative information for the diagnosis name set by the user based on the information. With the above arrangement, the diagnosis support apparatus selects and presents information influencing the diagnosis name expected by the user, thereby efficiently presenting information required by the user.

A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes sequence controlling circuitry and image generating circuitry. The sequence controlling circuitry acquires magnetic resonance signals in an imaging region. The image generating circuitry generates an image. The sequence controlling circuitry sets timings of RF pulses such that a first time and a second time are different. Here, the first time is a time since an irradiation of a first RF pulse without selection of region until a start of acquisition. The second time is a time since an irradiation of a second RF pulse with selection of the labeling region until the start of acquisition. The second time is also a time for a liquid present in the labeling region to reach a desired position in the imaging region. The first time is also a time for longitudinal magnetization components of a background tissue to become substantially zero.

The actuator includes a core having a shell at least partially surrounding the core. The core is able to be stimulated to expand through at least one opening of the shell to provide a lifting action. This lifting action can be applied to harvest target cells.

Thermally responsive walls can be formed of wall panels made from different materials and having staggered conduits with respect to each other when coupled together (e.g., pancaked or layered) to form a wall at one temperature. The staggered conduits in the different wall panels are configured such that they become aligned at a second temperature due to differences in expansion coefficients. The wall panels can be designed using a computing system that processes an algorithm that accounts for various parameters, such as the different thermal expansion coefficients.
