Provided is a method for assembling a vehicle roof structure capable of suppressing occurrence of distortion of a roof panel. The method includes an application portion forming step, a roof panel disposing step, a roof panel mechanically fixing step, and a mastic adhesive curing step. In the application portion forming step, a plurality of application portions is formed such that among the plurality of application portions, a central application portion disposed at a center of a cross member in a vehicle width direction has a length that is shorter than a length of an end-side application portion disposed on opposite sides of the center in the vehicle width direction.

Vehicle roof structure and method for assembling the same

A vehicle structure includes: a framework member; an outer panel disposed at the outer side of the framework member, and that configures a design face of the vehicle; a foamed member disposed as a reinforcing material between the framework member and the outer panel, and that is formed from a material foamed at a first temperature from a precursor state and then solidifies at a second temperature lower than the first temperature; and a reinforcement member that is interposed between the outer panel and the foamed member in a state in which the outer panel and the foamed member are respectively joined together so as to fix the foamed member to the outer panel, and that is configured from a material having a smaller shrinkage ratio than a shrinkage ratio of the foamed member when the temperature is lowered from the first temperature to the second temperature.

Vehicle structure and manufacturing method for vehicle structural component

A suspension tower has: a top plate at which an upper end side of a front suspension is fixed at a fixing portion that is disposed apart from a stroke axis of the suspension; and a gradually changing rib that is provided upright from the top plate and extends from the stroke axis side toward an outer peripheral side at the top plate. The gradually changing rib has a constant level portion whose height from the fixing portion is constant, and a gradually changing portion whose height from the fixing portion is gradually decreased from the constant level portion toward the outer peripheral side. A boundary between the constant level portion and the gradually changing portion is disposed adjacent to the fixing portion.

Suspension tower

An upper end portion of a shock absorber of a front suspension is fixed to a suspension tower body portion of a suspension tower, and an upper arm of the front suspension is coupled to the suspension tower body portion of the suspension tower. This suspension tower body portion is formed integrally with a side member constituting portion that defines part of a closed cross-sectional shape of a front side member. Thus, in comparison with a configuration in which one or a plurality of combination portions are provided between the suspension tower and the front side member, it is possible to contribute toward more efficiently transmitting a load from the front suspension to the front side member.

Suspension tower and vehicle front structure

There is provided a suspension tower including: a top wall in which a shaft hole is formed at a region that faces a central portion of an upper end portion of a suspension of a vehicle; a projecting portion that is formed by an edge portion of the shaft hole at the top wall projecting toward a vehicle upper side; plural ribs that extend from an outer periphery of the projecting portion toward an outer peripheral side of the top wall; a suspension mounting portion that is provided at the top wall between a pair of the ribs that are adjacent to one another, and to which the upper end portion of the suspension is mounted; and an overhang portion that juts-out locally from the projecting portion toward the shaft hole side, between the suspension mounting portion and the shaft hole.

Suspension tower and vehicle front portion structure

A vehicle body front section structure includes: a suspension tower; an apron upper member that extends in a vehicle front-rear direction along a top wall portion of the suspension tower, a pair of frames that are disposed to a vehicle front side and a vehicle rear side of the suspension tower, that extend from the apron upper member towards a vehicle lower side and vehicle width direction inner side, and that are integrally formed with a cast-formed suspension tower structural body together with the suspension tower and the apron upper member; a cross rib that is formed at the apron upper member and that extends along the apron upper member; and a pair of vertical ribs that are respectively formed at the pair of frames, that extend along each of the pair of frames, and that are connected to the cross rib.
