An imaging device includes: an imaging unit; a drive signal generation unit configured to generate and output a plurality of drive signals for driving the imaging unit; a differential converter configured to convert one of the plurality of drive signals into a differential signal; a pair of signal lines configured to transmit the differential signal and configured such that impedance matching does not occur at a terminal of one of the pair of signal lines; and an adjustment unit configured to send a detecting signal to the one of the pair of signal lines, and to adjust characteristics of at least one of the plurality of drive signals based on a time period from when the detecting signal is sent until the detecting signal is reflected and returned from the terminal of the one of the pair of signal lines.

Imaging device, drive signal adjustment method, and endoscope system

An endoscope apparatus is provided with: a power generating section supplying power to a target circuit of an endoscope; a scope information acquiring section acquiring scope information about the endoscope from the endoscope; a protection circuit provided in association with the power generating section, the protection circuit being capable of operating in a plurality of protection modes; and an operation controlling section controlling the power generating section, and selecting and setting one protection mode from among the plurality of protection modes for the protection circuit, based on the scope information.

An endoscope apparatus includes: a plurality of connection portions to which an endoscope can be connected, respectively, wherein a priority setting portion sets a connection priority of the plurality of connection portions, a drive portion supplies a drive signal to one endoscope and a control portion that controls so that the drive portion supplies the drive signal to any one endoscope only based on the connection priority. The endoscope apparatus further includes an identification portion that identifies the kind of endoscope based on a resistance value of a specific resistance that differs according to a kind of the endoscope that is arranged in the endoscope, and that is detected by cancelling a contact resistance in the connection portion.
