A mobile X-ray apparatus including a main body portion, a mobile dolly on which the main body portion is mounted, a support pole that is erectly provided on the mobile dolly, an X-ray generator supported on the support pole, and an image reading device for reading image information from an imaging plate in which X-ray image information is stored, and further including detecting means for detecting whether the mobile dolly is being moved, and reading control means for prohibiting reading of the image reading device when it is detected by the detecting means that the mobile dolly is being moved.

An H-bridge motor driving circuit has, between a PWM comparator and a control circuit, first and second frequency dividers for frequency-dividing, by 2, an AND gate, OR gate, and first and second and second inverters. During a first period, the first and second MOS transistors are turned on, and the second and third MOS transistors are turned off, caused a current to flow through a motor. During a next second period, the third and fourth MOS transistors are turned on, and the first and second MOS transistors are turned off, causing a regenerative current to flow through the motor. During a next third period, the MOS transistors are turned on and off in the same manner as during the first period, causing a current to flow through the motor. During a final fourth period, the first and second MOS transistors are turned on, and the third and fourth MOS transistors are turned off, caused a regenerative current to flow through the motor.

H-bridge motor driving circuit

The spindle motor drive circuit includes a power source voltage varying device for varying a voltage applied to a motor by controlling a power source voltage, and a pulse width varying device for varying a pulse width by pulse width modulation.

A voltage regulator has a pair of common terminals (101, 102) and a pair of rectifying diodes (103, 104) which are connected to the common terminals, respectively. The rectifying diodes supplies an input voltage which is supplied to one of the common terminals to a connecting point (105) of the rectifying diodes. Resistors (107, 108, 109, 110), a comparator (111), and a switch (112) selectively couple a dividing resistor (17) with one of the common terminals that is not supplied with the input voltage. A MOSFET (106) is connected to the common terminals so as to amplify an input voltage supplied to one of the common terminals and so as to provide an output voltage to the other terminal. A constant current source (14), a start up circuit (15), a reference voltage producing circuit (16), an error amplifier (19) control the MOSFET so that a reference voltage V.sub.REF produced by the reference voltage producing circuit is equal to a divided voltage V.sub.O produced by dividing resistor (17,18).
