This sensor system includes: a sensor that is provided with a sensor cover having an opening formed on one end and a sensor main body which is detachably disposed on an inner portion of the sensor cover; and a detachment tool used to detach the sensor main body from the sensor cover, wherein the sensor includes an attachment structure used to attach the sensor main body to the inner portion of the sensor cover, the detachment tool includes a detachment structure used to detach the sensor main body from the inner portion of the sensor cover, and in the detachment structure, by pushing the detachment tool into the sensor main body from the opening of the sensor cover, the sensor main body is detached from the inner portion of the sensor cover.

A recording apparatus has a controller that controls a conveying roller and a discharge roller for conveying a recording medium. The controller controls the rotation phases of the conveying roller and the discharge roller when the recording medium leaves the conveying roller before the recording medium enters the conveying roller.

Apparatus and method for recording

A sheet conveying apparatus coveys a sheet while nipping the sheet between a conveyance roller and a pinch roller. The pinch roller includes a first roller portion and a second roller portion adjacent to each other in a rotational axial direction thereof. The pinch roller further includes a mechanism configured to change a difference between a pressing force that the first roller portion applies to the conveyance roller and a pressing force that the second roller portion applies to the conveyance roller.

Sheet conveying apparatus and printing apparatus

A printing apparatus includes a print head for inkjet printing, and a guide disposed opposing the print head and configured to guide a back surface of a sheet being conveyed in a first direction. The back surface is a reverse surface of a surface being printed. The printing apparatus further includes a receiving unit disposed opposing the print head and configured to receive ink outside the sheet being conveyed, and a mechanism configured to change a position of the guide in a second direction relative to the receiving unit being fixed, according to a size of the sheet to be used. The second direction crosses the first direction.

A recording apparatus includes a recording head, a roller configured to convey a recording medium, an acquisition unit configured to acquire information about a conveyance amount for conveying the recording medium per a predetermined rotation amount of the roller, a recording timing generation unit configured to generate a plurality of timing signals for performing recording for one raster line according to a rotation of the roller during one rotation thereof, and a drive signal generation unit configured to generate a drive reference signal for performing the recording for the one raster line on the recording medium at a predetermined interval based on the conveyance amount information and the timing signal.

Recording apparatus

A control unit includes a memory storing correction data obtained by associating information acquired by a first acquisition unit (rotary encoder) with information acquired by a second acquisition unit (direct sensor) with respect to, at least one rotation of a conveying roller. When a plurality of images are sequentially printed on a first surface and a second surface of a continuous sheet, the control unit reads the correction data corresponding to the rotation information acquired by the first acquisition unit from the memory and corrects at least one of driving control of a print head and driving control of the roller. The correction data used in printing on the first surface of the sheet is different from that used in printing on the second surface of the sheet.

A printing apparatus includes: a upstream roller pair arranged on the upstream side of a printing head with respect to a direction in which a sheet is conveyed; and a downstream roller pair arranged on the downstream side of the printing head with respect to the direction, wherein each of the upstream roller pair and the downstream roller pair includes a first roller and a second roller configured to hold the sheet therebetween. In both of the upstream roller pair and the downstream roller pair, a rotation shaft of the second roller is provided to be situated on the downstream side of a rotation shaft of the first roller with respect to the direction.

An apparatus includes an adjusting mechanism configured to change a gap between a print head and a continuous sheet, and the adjusting mechanism controls the gap to be larger than that at the time of printing when a splice of the continuous sheet passes the print head. An unprintable area is set on each of the upstream side and the downstream side of the splice, each having at least a width corresponding to a sum of a length of the plurality of print heads in the direction of sheet conveyance and a distance of movement of the continuous sheet in a period required for the adjusting mechanism to change the gap, and the printing is continued while avoiding the unprintable area.

A printer has a base, first and second side members placed on opposite side portions of a base with respect to a first direction, at least one roller for transporting a sheet in a second direction intersecting the first direction, a print unit and a platen, the roller, the print unit and the platen being held with the first side member and the second side member. The first side member and the second side member are formed by a molded first resin material and the base is formed by a molded second resin material, and a bending elastic modulus of the first resin material is larger than that of the second resin material.

A method includes pulling out and conveying a sheet having splice portions, acquiring information relating to a position of an indentation on the sheet formed in addition to a splice portion, and performing processing on the sheet but a position corresponding to the acquired position of the indentation and its vicinity.

Recording apparatus and sheet processing method

An apparatus may include a print head, multiple roller pairs to convey a sheet, a direct sensor, and a control unit. The print head prints on a conveyed sheet. The multiple roller pairs nip the sheet at an upstream side of the print head to convey the sheet, nip the sheet at a downstream side of the print head, and nip the sheet at an upstream side of a first roller pair to convey the sheet. The direct sensor measures a surface of the conveyed sheet at a measurement position between a nip position of the first roller pair and a nip position of a third roller pair to obtain information relating to a movement state of the sheet. The control unit controls to correct at least one of driving control of the print head and conveying control of the sheet, based on the information obtained by the direct sensor.

A sheet conveyance apparatus includes: a guide unit for guiding the side end of the sheet; a first roller pair arranged on the downstream side of the guide unit for conveying the sheet, including a driven roller held in contact with a whole sheet in a sheet width direction; and a second roller pair having a conveyance roller arranged on the downstream side of the roller and adapted to convey the sheet, and a plurality of pinch rollers pinching the sheet in cooperation with the conveyance roller, wherein each of the plurality of pinch rollers applies to the sheet a conveyance force inclined toward a conveyance path side end, which is nearer to the pinch roller, and wherein the smaller the distance between the pinch roller and the conveyance path side end, the greater the inclination of the conveyance force thereof.

Sheet conveyance apparatus and printing apparatus

A recording apparatus to record an image on a recording medium using a recording head includes a first conveying roller, a second conveying roller, and a controller. The first conveying roller is positioned upstream of the recording head in a conveying direction and the second conveying roller is positioned downstream of the recording head in the conveying direction. In response to a first conveying mode being selected, the controller performs a rotational phase control in which the controller controls rotational phases of the first conveying roller and the second conveying roller such that the recording medium is conveyed by predetermined sections of circumferences of the first conveying roller and the second conveying roller when a trailing end of the recording medium passes the first conveying roller. In response to the second conveying mode being selected, the controller does not perform the rotational phase control.

An apparatus includes a first conveyance unit configured to convey a sheet, a first guide located downstream of the first conveyance unit in a conveyance direction and configured to guide a first side end of the conveyed sheet, a skew unit configured to convey the sheet in an oblique direction to come closer to the first guide, a second guide configured to contact a second side end opposite the first side end to guide the second side end, a second conveyance unit located downstream of the first guide in the conveyance direction, and a control unit configured to perform control so that, after conveying the sheet by the skew unit with the first guide contacting the first side end while the second guide is separated from the second side end, the second guide moves to a position close to the second side end.
