The present invention provides an interlayer film for laminated glass which has excellent sound insulating properties even when the thickness is reduced, and also has a low degree of orientation and low shrinkability. The invention relates to an interlayer film for laminated glass which includes at least one layer A containing a thermoplastic elastomer, wherein the thermoplastic elastomer includes a hard segment block and a soft segment block, the layer A has a sea-island phase separated structure in which the hard segment block is included as an island component and the soft segment block is included as a sea component, and the degree of orientation (1) defined by (maximum intensity value&#x2212;minimum intensity value)/(maximum intensity value+minimum intensity value) based on the maximum intensity value and the minimum intensity value in an arbitrary azimuth range of 180&#xb0; including the azimuth at which the intensity reaches the maximum in the azimuthal intensity distribution of periodic scattering or coherent scattering by the hard segment block or the soft segment block obtained for the layer A by small-angle X-ray scattering measurement is 0.9 or less.

A first object of the invention is to provide an interlayer film for laminated glass which has excellent sound insulating properties and heat shielding properties, and a laminated glass using the same. Further, a second object of the invention is to provide an interlayer film for laminated glass capable of maintaining the sound insulating properties, weather resistance, and heat creep resistance at a high level even if the thickness is reduced, and a laminated glass using the same. The invention relates to an interlayer film for laminated glass, including at least one layer A containing a thermoplastic elastomer, wherein a laminated glass in which the interlayer film for laminated glass is disposed between two clear glasses with the total thickness of the clear glasses being 4 mm or less has a visible light transmittance of 70% or more and an average transmittance of infrared light in the wavelength range of 800 to 1,100 nm of 72% or less.

The present invention provides an interlayer film for laminated glass which has excellent sound insulating properties even when the thickness is reduced, and also hardly causes optical unevenness. An object is to provide a polyvinyl acetal composition which includes polyvinyl acetals having different average amounts of remaining hydroxyl groups and from which a sheet having excellent transparency can be molded. Provided is a polyvinyl acetal film which, when used as an intermediate film for a laminated glass, can provide a laminated glass that exhibits a low degree of yellowness and excellent surface appearance, and which is thus useful as a sealing material or intermediate film that can prolong the life of a laminated glass provided with a solar cell or a functional unit. Further, the content of corrosion-causing substance in the polyvinyl acetal film is low, so that the polyvinyl acetal film permits high-temperature lamination and thus ensures excellent productivity. Also provided are a solar cell module and a laminated glass prepared using the polyvinyl acetal film. A plasticized polyvinyl acetal film which comprises 15 to 60 parts by mass of a plasticizer having a total number of 28 or more of carbon atoms and oxygen atoms constituting a molecule based on 100 parts by mass of a polyvinyl acetal resin, and which has an acid value of 5.0 meq/kg or less.

According to the present invention, a polyvinyl butyral resin pellet is provided that gives off little odor when produced and handled, as well as has a high apparent density and favorable handleability. The present invention includes a method for producing a polyvinyl butyral resin pellet including the steps of: melting polyvinyl butyral resin powder with a water content of 0.01 to 6 wt % by means of a melt extruder that has at least one vent portion for devolatilization equipped with vacuum means, and cutting the melt of the polyvinyl butyral resin after extrusion of it from the melt extruder. The present invention further includes a polyvinyl butyral resin pellet having a total content of butyl aldehyde and 2-ethyl-2-hexenal of 100 ppm or less.

It is an object of the invention to provide a plasticized polyvinyl acetal composition that is suitably used for an intermediate film of a laminated glass and other applications, specifically, the polyvinyl acetal composition being characterized in that in cases when a layer that is composed of the polyvinyl acetal composition and another resin layer such as a resin layer of a polycarbonate, a poly(meth)acrylic acid ester, or a styrene thermoplastic elastomer are laminated, the plasticizer does not migrate from the polyvinyl acetal layer. The present invention relates to a polyvinyl acetal composition including 100 parts by mass of a polyvinyl acetal and 0.5 to 100 parts by mass of an ester plasticizer or ether plasticizer that is amorphous or has a melting point of 30&#xb0; C. or less, and has a hydroxyl value of 15 to 450 mgKOH/g.

The present invention provides a polyvinyl acetal powder which is excellent in flowability during the coating process when it is applied to a powder coating material. This polyvinyl acetal powder enables to obtain a coating film having good impact resistance and uniformity of thickness (uniformity of coating film thickness). The present invention also provides a powder coating material using the polyvinyl acetal powder. Specifically, the present invention is a polyvinyl acetal powder having an average particle diameter of 10 to 150 &#x3bc;m, a maximum particle diameter of 250 &#x3bc;m or less, and a melt flow rate of 1 to 200 g/10 min. as measured in accordance with JIS K7210: 1999. The present invention also is a powder coating material containing this polyvinyl acetal powder.
