A tank production method for preventing generation of non-uniform stacked portions in a sheet layer while securing the strength of the tank, the method including a winding step of winding resin-impregnated fiber sheets to form a sheet layer with a predetermined thickness. The winding step includes divided winding steps of winding divided fiber sheets obtained by dividing a fiber sheet into a plurality of divided fiber sheets having a length shorter than the length required to form the sheet layer with the predetermined thickness. A fiber-reinforced composite material for increasing adhesive strength between a first composite material layer including a fibrous substrate with reinforcement fiber bundles arranged crosswise, and a second composite material layer including second reinforcement fibers arranged randomly. The first composite material layer including a fibrous substrate having reinforcement fiber bundles crossing and being drawn and aligned first reinforcement fibers; and first thermoplastic resin, with at least each of the reinforcement fiber bundles is impregnated; and a second composite material layer including second reinforcement fibers arranged randomly in second thermoplastic resin. The first composite material layer and the second composite material layer bonded to each other. The first composite material layer has bores on at least a surface thereof that is to be bonded with the second composite material layer. The second reinforcement fibers and the second thermoplastic resin enter into the bores.

Fiber-reinforced composite material and method for manufacturing the same

The present invention provides a resin composition and a resin molded article capable of designing to make specific properties, in particular, fuel barrier properties, consistent with impact resistance. The resin composition includes a mixture of a thermoplastic resin with fibers having lengths of from 4 to 20 mm. The fibers have melting points higher than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin or are infusible.

Resin composition, resin molded article and production method thereof

A fuel tank produced in such a manner that an upper shell and a lower shell melt-molded as two split molded parts from a PPS resin composition are welded to each other at a welding portion. The PPS resin composition contains (a) 60% by weight to 95% by weight of a PPS resin, and (b) 5% by weight to 40% by weight of an olefin resin. The (a) PPS resin contains (a-1) a PPS resin having an MFR of 90 g/10 min to 350 g/10 min and an amount of extracts by chloroform of 2.2% by weight to 4.5% by weight. The (b) olefin resin contains (b-1) a specific olefin copolymer, and (b-2) an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer. The MFR of the PPS resin composition is 15 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min.
