A first valve port is set to have a seal diameter smaller than that of a second valve port. Due to a pressure reception area of a first valve body port being small, the attachment force of the first valve body portion is reduced with respect to a valve seat. It thus becomes possible to open the first valve port as the attachment of the first valve body portion is released with respect to the valve seat without increasing the weight of the float. After the first valve port is opened, the pressure difference is reduced between inside of a fuel tank and a connecting pipe on the side of a canister, and the attachment force acting on a second valve body portion is also reduced. In this manner, the second valve body portion is opened with certainty. As a result, it becomes possible to go through the operation of opening the second valve port that is larger in diameter than the first valve port without increasing the weight of a sub float.

Float Valve

In the case where a full-tank state is brought about by feed, excessive ascent of a liquid level in a loading arm is suppressed and excessive feed is prevented. A finned umbrella valve is provided for throttling a flowrate of a fuel vapor prior to closing of a float valve.

Fluid cutoff valve device

A differential pressure regulating valve is disclosed which improves sealing performance when the valve closes. The differential pressure regulating valve has a diaphragm and a guide. The guide limits the moving direction of a retainer. A projecting part and an engaging hole engage with one another and reduce deformation of the diaphragm by tolerating a relative movement between the diaphragm and the retainer. A liquid shut-off valve device is also disclosed which incorporates the differential pressure regulating valve and has stable operating characteristics.

Differential pressure regulating valve and liquid shut-off valve device

A liquid cutoff valve unit provided for a sealed container in which a liquid fills comprises a discharge passage formed to an upper portion of the sealed container in a used state and adapted to discharge the gas therein, a float valve moving in accordance with a buoyancy so as to open or close the discharge passage, a float chamber in which the float valve is accommodated and having a size enabling the float valve to be moved therein and an urging means such as spring for urging the float valve in a valve closing direction. The float valve is provided with a cylindrical member having an upper end closed and a lower end opened to provide an inner cylindrical space formed as an air reservoir and at least one communication port opened to a side wall section of the cylindrical member and adapted to establish communication between an inside and an outside of the air reservoir. The float chamber is provided with at least one opened window section formed to a side wall section thereof at a position corresponding to the communication port of the float chamber so that a gas in the sealed container finely pass through the opened window section.

Liquid cutoff valve unit

A diaphragm valve having a diaphragm functioning as a valve body. Unlike the conventional valve of this type, the retainer for pressing the sealing section of the diaphragm against the valve seat is provided with a predetermined number of rectangular apertures or concave portions at specified positions thereon so that when the valve is operated in a low temperature atmosphere or a high temperature atmosphere, the diaphragm is prevented from sticking firmly to the valve sheet due to freezing or heating thereby allowing the valve to perform an accurate valve opening operation without changing its pressure and flow rate characteristics.

Diaphragm valve

A fuel cut-off valve (10) includes an enlarged-diameter vapor outlet aperture (30) which is controlled by a first closure member (50) having a small auxiliary vapor vent orifice (52) which, in turn, is controlled by a second closure member (58) formed on the float member (38). The first closure member (50) is biased by a spring (62) toward the second closure member (58) to ensure that the first closure member (50) is unseated away from the main valve seat (36) as soon as the auxiliary vapor vent orifice (52) is opened.

Fuel cut-off valve

A diaphragm valve (20) of the class having a diaphragm (32) backed-up by a spring retainer (38). The spring retainer (38) is provided, at a portion thereof facing the valve seat (30), with a relieved surface (48) spaced away from the diaphragm (38) in the free state thereof. The relieved surface (48) permits the diaphragm to resiliently yield in response to any circumferential undulation or unevenness (52) of the valve seat to provide a snug fit between the diaphragm (32) and the valve seat (30) throughout the entire circumference of the valve seat.
