A heating apparatus contains a humidity sensor for detecting vapor amount generating from the heated object and a control unit for controlling the heating time on the basis of the signal output from the humidity sensor. The humidity sensor includes a first heat sensor for detecting the atmospheric temperature and a second heat sensor which is self-heated or heated by a heating source. The control unit includes a comparator for comparing the temperature change of the first heat sensor with that of the second heat sensor which change is caused by vapor generating from the heated object, and a control circuit for controlling the additional heating time on the basis of the time the signal output from the comparator took to reach the value preset for each kind of heated objects, when the preset value is reached.

Heating apparatus with humidity sensor

The disclosure is directed to an improved trouble detecting method of a temperature control device including a thermo-sensitive element such as a thermistor or the like for application to a heating apparatus, for example, a cooking apparatus or the like. The detecting method includes the steps of energizing the temperature control device for a predetermined period of time, and comparing an output of the temperature control device and a reference output for judgement.

Method and apparatus for detecting problems of temperature control device

A cooking apparatus for performing a microwave cooking operation and a convection cooking operation wherein heated air is circulated in an oven cavity. An air intake aperture is formed at the center of the ceiling wall of the oven cavity. The air removed through the air intake aperture is heated up by a heater and reintroduced into the oven cavity through a first blowoff aperture which is positioned at the corner of the ceiling wall near a right side wall of the oven cavity, and through a second blowoff aperture which is asymmetrically positioned at the lower portion of a left side wall of the oven cavity.

Combination microwave and convection oven

The present invention is directed to a cooking utensil such as a microwave oven wherein a food temperature-sensing probe is inserted into a foodstuff for detecting the internal temperature of the food. The food temperature-sensing probe includes a resonance circuit the resonance frequency of which varies depending on the internal temperature. A first signal generator is provided for delivering a series of signals which contain a variety of frequencies inclusive of the signals of the resonance frequency. A second signal generator is employed to provide sweeping signals for the series of signals developed from the first signal generator. A selecting circuit is connected to the second signal generator for selecting a particular value in the sweeping signals relevant to the desired temperature of the foodstuff. A wireless controlled circuit is provided which determines the occurence of the dip phenomena in a relationship with the particular value in the sweeping signals under the radiation of the series of signals generated from the first signal generator.

Wireless food temperature-sensing assembly

A browning unit is slidably provided in a high-frequency oven cavity. The browning unit is adjustable in location in the oven cavity with the use of a lever provided on an outside wall of the oven for controlling a browning or toasting condition of the exterior of foodstuffs. To prevent leakage of high-frequency energy, a choke mechanism is required at a point through which a lead wire and a supporter for the browning unit are provided.
