Two antennas receive three kinds of radio waves with different frequencies. A computation unit determines the arrival direction of the three kinds of radio waves arriving at the two antennas after propagating along two mutually different paths from a single transmit point in accordance with receive signals of the three kinds of radio waves with different frequencies received individually by the two antennas.

Radio wave arrival direction estimation apparatus

A heartbeat measurement device includes a transmitter configured to transmit a transmission signal from a transmission antenna to a person to be measured, a receiver configured to receive a signal reflected from the person to be measured as a reception signal using a reception antenna, and an orthogonal detection circuit configured to generate an I signal that is an in-phase component of the transmission signal and the reception signal and a Q signal that is a quadrature component of the transmission signal and the reception signal. The heartbeat measurement device further includes a Fourier transform unit configured to calculate a spectrum in positive and negative frequency domains on the basis of the I signal and the Q signal and a signal processing unit configured to compare positive and negative frequency components in the spectrum to extract a heartbeat component.

A position detection system includes a mobile station, a reference station, fixed stations to, and a server. The mobile station transmits a first radio signal Sand the reference station transmits a second radio signal Smultiple times. Each of the fixed stations extracts a first phase difference based on the first radio signal Sand extracts second phase differences based on the second radio signals S. The server calculates time variations of the second phase differences based on the multiple second phase differences to calculate a third phase difference. The server cancels phase offset by the respective fixed stations using phase difference information between the mobile station and the respective fixed stations and phase difference information between the reference station and the respective fixed stations and acquires distance information between the respective fixed stations and the mobile station to calculate the position of the mobile station.

Position detection system and position detection method

A measurement apparatus outputs from a first antenna pair transmission signals (St) and (St) whose phase difference (&#x394;&#x3d5;) changes over time. A target object simultaneously receives the transmission signals (St) and (St) from a target-side antenna and returns to the measurement apparatus information (D&#x3d5;) according to the positional relationship between the target object and the measurement apparatus determined from a reception signal (Sr). The measurement apparatus outputs from a second antenna pair transmission signals (St) and (St) whose phase difference (&#x394;&#x3d5;) changes over time. The target object simultaneously receives the transmission signals (St) and (St) from the target-side antenna and returns to the measurement apparatus the information (D&#x3d5;) corresponding to the positional relationship between the target object and the measurement apparatus determined from a reception signal (Sr). The measurement apparatus identifies a direction (&#x3b8;) of the target object on the basis of these two pieces of information (D&#x3d5;).

Positioning system

A mobile station transmits a first radio signal, a reference station transmits a second radio signal. Fixed stations extract phase differences (&#x394;&#x3c6;mf) to (&#x394;&#x3c6;mf), respectively, between a carrier included in the first radio signal and reference clocks of the respective fixed stations. The fixed stations extract phase differences (&#x394;&#x3c6;sf) to (&#x394;&#x3c6;sf), respectively, between a carrier included in the second radio signal and the reference clocks of the respective fixed stations. A server cancels phase offsets (&#x3c6;f) to (&#x3c6;f) of the respective fixed stations using phase difference information between the mobile station and each of the fixed stations and phase difference information between the reference station and each of the fixed stations, obtains distance information between each of the fixed stations and the mobile station, and calculates a position of the mobile station.

A semiconductor component is face-up mounted on a package substrate. An antenna substrate is flip-chip mounted on a front side of the semiconductor component. A device-side high-frequency signal terminal is disposed on the front side of the semiconductor component, and an antenna-side high-frequency signal terminal is disposed on a back side of the antenna substrate. The device-side high-frequency signal terminal and the antenna-side high-frequency signal terminal are electrically connected to each other. Thus, the antenna substrate for high-frequency signals can be separated from the package substrate for baseband signals.

High-frequency module and communication apparatus

A high-frequency circuit device, a high-frequency module, and a communication apparatus, which prevent generation of an undesired wave to prevent electrical power loss and undesired coupling, are provided. The high-frequency circuit device includes a first slot line and a second slot line, which are provided at respective surfaces of a dielectric substrate, are formed with the same shape. An FET is provided on the first slot line. For preventing the mounting of the FET from causing a phase difference to occur between a high-frequency signal, which propagates along the first slot line, and a high-frequency signal, which propagates along the second slot line, a phase-adjusting stub is formed at a position of a stub at the second slot line. The phase is adjusted by changing the length of the stub.

High-frequency circuit device, high-frequency module, and communication apparatus

A high-frequency circuit device includes a substrate and a high-frequency circuit. The high-frequency circuit is provided on the substrate and has a signal line. The signal line is configured with a slot line provided by electrodes that are arranged side-by-side with a space therebetween on the substrate. The slot line can facilitates circuit design compared to a microstrip line and has significantly low conduction loss compared to a coplanar line, and can improve the Q-value of the high frequency circuit. This can provide an improved high-frequency circuit device having small phase noise. The high-frequency circuit device, which also serves as an oscillator, employs a slot output and thus can provide an advantage of better continuity for a class-B push-pull amplifier that operates more efficiently than a class-A one.

High-frequency circuit device using slot line and communication apparatus having high frequency circuit device

In a blood pressure monitor, time habit data representing daily time habits of a patient and a plurality of timings for blood pressure measurement determined by a medical doctor are inputted. The predetermined timings are variably adjusted based on the daily time habit data, and results of blood pressure measurements at the specified timings are stored in a memory. A personal computer for the doctor of a medical facility receives and outputs information read out from the memory of the blood pressure monitor. Accordingly, blood pressure measurements can be performed in timings adjusted in accordance with the daily habit pattern of the patient, so that more accurate measurement can be achieved. Because information including such measurement data is presented to the doctor with diagnostic authority via the personal computer, the doctor can acquire useful information for assisting diagnosis and treatment of hypertension symptoms of the patient.
