The method comprises the step of; setting the physical models for element groups constituting the object model; searching boundaries in the object model corresponding to the set element groups; reflecting the physical models of the element groups at the boundaries on a screen for setting analysis conditions for the boundaries; and setting analysis conditions for the boundaries on the screen for the reflected boundaries. Using the principle that a group and the boundaries of that group share the common properties of a physical model, the boundaries corresponding to a group are automatically searched and its analysis conditions are set on a screen when the physical models are set, so that the correlation between the group and the boundaries is reflected on a screen.
