There is provided a scroll compressor having high overall adiabatic efficiency and reliability in a wide pressure operating range. A backside excess-suction-pressure region is provided such that pressure higher than suction pressure by a constant value is applied to a backside of scroll members to produce an attractive force to attract both scroll members. A control bypass is also provided for communicating compression chambers with a discharge system only when pressure in the compression chambers is high.

A displacement type fluid machine has a first lubricating fluid pump, provided at the rotating shaft and immersed in the lubricating fluid stored in the lubricating fluid-storing chamber, for feeding lubricating fluid to a first one of the two sliding portions via a lubricating fluid-guiding path formed at the rotating shaft; a second lubricating fluid pump, provided at the rotating shaft, for raising the pressure of lubricating fluid which has been fed via the lubricating fluid-guiding path by a predetermined pump head, and for feeding that lubricating fluid to a second one of the two sliding portions; and a third lubricating fluid pump, which is provided at or near the rotating shaft, for raising the pressure of lubricating fluid which has been fed via the lubricating fluid-guiding path by a predetermined pump head, and for feeding that lubricating fluid to a third one of the two sliding portions.

A scroll compressor comprising: a vessel; a compressing mechanism provided within said vessel, the compressing mechanism comprising an orbiting scroll and a non-orbiting scroll each having a spiral wrap formed in a base plate and an Oldham ring for preventing the orbiting scroll from rotating around its axis; an oil reservoir provided within a vessel; a crankshaft for transmitting a power for compressing a working fluid; and a frame on which a main bearing for supporting the crankshaft is provided, wherein the crankshaft is provided with oil supply passages for communicating a vicinity of an orbiting bearing and a vicinity of the main bearing, and openings of the oil supply passages in the vicinity of the orbiting bearing and in the vicinity of the main bearing are positioned so that a pressure of an oil film in the orbiting bearing opening generated during an operation of the compressor is higher than a pressure of an oil film in the-main bearing opening generated during an operation of the compressor.

A scroll compressor, in which as a coolant is applied a mixture coolant obtained by mixing at least one or more kinds selected from a group of hydro fluoro carbon, within a closed container thereof, comprising: an electricmotor; a rotary scroll driven with said electric motor; and a stationary scroll, whereby forming a scroll compression mechanism between said rotary scroll for compressing said coolant, wherein said scroll compression mechanism comprises: Oldham ring for supporting said rotary scroll so that said rotary scroll perform a gyrating movement with respect to said stationary scroll without spinning around an axis thereof; and a frame for supporting said Oldham ring in movable manner for purpose of achieving supporting of said rotary scroll mentioned above, wherein said Oldham ring is formed from sintered alloy of iron group, while said frame and said rotary scroll are formed from cast iron, and after treating a steam process thereon, a sliding surface of said Oldham ring is machined by means of an end mill.

A heat pump apparatus comprising: a scroll compressor including an orbiting scroll member in which a spiral wrap is formed on a first base plate, and an non-orbiting scroll member in which a spiral wrap is formed on a second base plate and a back pressure chamber for introducing pressure into a side of the orbiting scroll member or the non-orbiting scroll member opposite to a compression chamber formed by the orbiting and non-orbiting scroll members; a heat-exchanger; an expansion device; device for detecting a consumption power of the heat pump apparatus or the compressor; and device for changing the pressure in the back pressure chamber in accordance with an output from the detecting device.

Heat pump apparatus

In a scroll compressor, generation of excessive vibration attributable to a ferrous Oldham's ring is eliminated, the fatigue failure and the operation noise are prevented, and the reliability is improved. Only an Oldham's key under sliding motion is formed of a metallic bush formed of iron excellent in the reliability in slidability, and an annular part large in volume is manufactured of light metal such as aluminum, and assembled to reduce the weight. That is, the bush excellent in wear resistance is press-fitted and locked to a light Oldham's ring formed of aluminum alloy in which a projection is integrated with the annular part. Alternatively, both sides of the projection which are the sliding sides with key grooves may be formed in arc shape. In this construction, the scroll compressor is obtained, in which generation of the excessive vibration attributable to a conventional ferrous Oldham's ring is eliminated thereby, the fatigue failure and the operation noise attributable to the vibration are prevented, the reliability is high, and the fabricability is excellent.

To resolve a problem of decreasing a heat exchange rate of a refrigerating cycle owing to a large amount of a refrigerator oil delivered from a discharge pipe to the refrigerating cycle, there is provided a sealed compressor driven by a motor having a compressor unit and a motor unit in which a ring is provided at an outer periphery of a coil end of a stator on a side of the compressor unit to reduce the amount of delivering the refrigerator oil to the refrigerating cycle and a shape of a balance weight of a rotor on the side of the compressor unit is formed in a cylindrical shape a portion of a side face of which is opened and an end face of which is flat to thereby reduce stirring of fluid.

A closed-type electrically-driven compressor comprising a compressing mechanism portion and an electric motor portion driving the compressing mechanism portion within a closed container, which is formed to be substantially cylindrical, and a terminal fitted into a hole formed in a cover body of the closed container and welded to the cover body, and wherein a mount portion and vicinities of the terminal on the cover body of the closed container are formed into a convex-shaped portion which is protuberant from a peripheral flat portion of the cover body.

A scroll type compressor comprises a stationary scroll and a rotary scroll which is assembled with the stationary scroll so as to define a closed space, the outer surface of the rotary scroll 22 is formed thereon with a tin compound film containing a tin compound and having a thickness of 50 .mu.m. Such a coating film is never peeled off from a member even after long time operation, and is excellent in sealability and conformability, in the displacement type compressor.

In a compressor, a lubricant groove for a contact area between a self-aligning spherical bearing and a housing therefor opens to a relatively low pressure chamber, but is prevented from opening to a relatively high pressure chamber, the housing has an arrangement for restraining a transmission of deformation and/or heat energy from a welded portion thereon to the contact area, and a main shaft, the housing, a housing lid and a pipe for lubricant circulation are coaxially arranged.
