An axial displacement angle estimation device repeatedly calculates an axial displacement angle based on the detection result of the radar apparatus. The axial displacement angle estimation device extracts the axial displacement angle included in a predetermined extraction angle range among a plurality of axial displacement angles, and calculate an average value and a median value of the extracted plurality of axial displacement angles to be an axial displacement angle average value and an axial displacement median value. The axial displacement angle estimation device determines, based on the axial displacement angle average value and the axial displacement angle median value, whether a predetermined allowable condition is met. The axial displacement angle estimation device utilizes, when determined that the predetermined allowable condition is met, the axial displacement angle average value as an estimation result of the axial displacement angle.

Axial displacement estimation device

An axial displacement estimation device estimates an axial displacement angle of a radar apparatus mounted on a mobile body. The axial displacement estimation device uses a plurality of detection values acquired by mutually different plurality of modulation methods to estimate an axial displacement angle for each of the plurality of modulation methods. The axial displacement estimation device determines whether a predetermined allowable condition is met based on a plurality of axial displacement angle estimation results estimated using a plurality of detection values corresponding to respective plurality of modulation methods. The axial displacement estimation device utilizes at least one of a plurality of axial displacement angle estimation results when determined that the predetermined allowable condition is met.

An axis-misalignment estimation device estimates an axis-misalignment angle of a radar device mounted to a moving object. The axis-misalignment estimation device estimates the axis-misalignment angle using a plurality of different axis-misalignment angle estimation methods based on detection results of the radar device. The axis-misalignment estimation device determines whether a predefined employment condition is met, based on a plurality of axis-misalignment angle estimates estimated using respective ones of the plurality of axis-misalignment angle estimation methods. In response to determining that the employment condition is met, the axis-misalignment estimation device employs at least one of the plurality of axis-misalignment angle estimates.

Axis-misalignment estimation device

A vehicle as a moving body is provided with an imaging device as first object detecting means and a radar apparatus as second object detecting means. The object recognition apparatus is provided with axis displacement learning means for learning an axis displacement of the reference axis Xof the first object detecting means; axis displacement determining means for performing, based on an object detecting result of the first object detecting means and the second object detecting means, an axis displacement determination process for determining whether or not an axis displacement has occurred in the reference axis of the second object detecting means; and disabling means for disabling, based on a learning result of the axis displacement by the axis displacement learning means, information about an axis displacement of the second object detecting means acquired by the axis displacement determination process.

Object recognition apparatus using a plurality of object detecting means

In a radar apparatus, one frequency pair is extracted from among all frequency pairs, and an eigenvalue ratio in relation to the extracted pair is derived. The number of incoming waves is estimated according to the number of eigenvalue ratios each of which is not less than a reference threshold. Then, a proportion of the frequency pairs each estimated to have a plurality of incoming waves, relative to all frequency pairs (hereinafter referred to as plural detection proportion) is calculated as an evaluation value. These steps are repeated every time radar waves are transmitted and received. As a result, when a state where the plural detection proportion becomes not less than a specified proportion is detected over a specified number of cycles, it is determined that noise factor materials have adhered to a covering member.

Radar apparatus and method of processing incoming waves for the radar apparatus

A first and a second pair of projecting portions are provided in a cavity portion of a fuse mounting portion made of resin. An upper end surface of each projecting portion is tapered, so as to guide a pair of male terminals of a fuse sub-assembly toward a corresponding female terminals attached to the cavity portion, when the fuse sub-assembly is inserted into the cavity portion. A gap is formed between the fuse sub-assembly and the tapered upper end surfaces in a fuse-mounted condition, in which the fuse sub-assembly is in contact with a stopper portion of the cavity portion, in order to prevent contact failure caused by thermal shock.

The radar apparatus includes a target candidate detecting means for detecting a peak frequency at which the intensity of the power spectrum of a beat signal peaks as a target candidate, a road shape recognizing means to sequentially connect, along a predetermined direction, the target candidates detected to be stationary and present within a reference distance from one of the target candidates set as a reference target candidate for one or more measurement cycles and recognize an area formed by the sequentially connected target candidates as an edge of the road, a cruise environment estimating means to determine whether the cruise environment is a closed space or an open space based on the power spectrum, and a reference distance correcting means to shorten the reference distance when the cruise environment is determined to be a closed space.

Radar apparatus for use in vehicle

A relay device includes plural relay units, each having a coil for opening/closing a contact point, a base plate made of resin and having wiring metal pieces, and a control circuit mounted on the base plate for controlling current supply to the coil. The control circuit has a function of stabilizing the holding current irrespective of environmental variation. Thus, the holding current can be further reduced and heating and power consumption can be reduced without losing the function of keeping the contact point state.

Relay device having holding current stabilizing and limiting circuit

A complex relay device has at least one bus bar base plate, two relay units, and a relay case. The bus bar base plate has multiple bus bars that have ends providing terminals and are formed in predetermined circuit patterns. The bus bars are integrated and covered with a resin except for at least the ends. The two relay units are fixed on the bus bar base plate such that the two relay units are adjacent to each other and are connected to the terminals, which are used for external connection, through the bus bars. The relay case accommodates the bus bar base plate and the two relay units.

Complex relay device

A switching apparatus is provided which may be used for power window control systems of automotive vehicles. The switching apparatus includes an operating knob, a magnet, a magnetoresistive element, and a position determining circuit. The operating knob is manually shifted between a plurality of switching positions. The magnet moves according to the movement of the operating knob. The magnetoresistive element is placed in a magnetic field applied from the magnet and changes an electrical resistance thereof according to a variation in orientation of a magnetic flux applied to the magnetoresistive element resulting from the movement of the magnet. The position determining circuit monitors a change in electric resistance of the magnetoresistive element to determine the switching position of the operating member.
