The present invention provides a liquid surface detection devicein which corrosion is restrained even when liquid having conductivity is used so that a longer lifespan is achieved, including a liquid surface detection sensorthat outputs a signal indicating a variation in liquid level as a variation in resistance value by the sliding movement of a contact pointon an electrode connected to a resistor, and a control unitthat controls supply and stops a supply of electric power to the liquid surface detection sensorat predetermined intervals, in which a vehicle state determination unit that determines a state of a vehicle is provided and the control unitcontrols the duration to stop the supply of electric power to the liquid surface detection sensorwhen the vehicle state determination unit determines that the vehicle is in a traveling state.

A resistance-type liquid level measuring apparatus which suppresses a detection voltage error due to silver sulfide within a permissible range in practical use and enables measurement indication with accuracy, and comprises a resistance-type sensor including a float floating according to a liquid level, an insulating substrate having a plurality of conductor electrodes connected with a resistor , and a movable contact interlocked with a movement of the float to come in contact with the conductor electrodes on the insulating substrate , in which a material containing silver is used as a material of the conductor electrodes or the movable contact, a voltage dividing resistance is connected with a power source BA in series with the resistor , and a voltage of a connection point between the voltage dividing resistance and the resistor is outputted as a signal corresponding to the liquid level, and resistance values of the voltage dividing resistance and the resistor are set so that a voltage drop VS due to silver sulfide generated between the conductor electrode and the movable contact becomes % or less, preferably % or less with respect to a difference between a voltage VF equivalent to a full tank of the liquid level and a voltage VE equivalent to a low region.

Resistance type liquid level measuring apparatus

The coil instrument includes a rotor shaft having a rotor magnet and a first gear, a pointer shaft having a second gear connected with the first gear, a housing which pivotally supports the pointer shaft and the rotor shaft in parallel, and a pair of coils which are arranged such that coils opposedly face an outer peripheral surface of the rotor magnet where the second gear is not arranged and give a rotational force to the rotor magnet upon energization thereof.

Stepping motor type indicator having a pole tooth with reduced end area

It is intended to provide a stepper motor having windings which are easy to wind. Increase in size of the motor itself can be circumvented. First and second coil blocks 20 and 21, respectively, are formed by first and second annular bobbins 27 and 34, respectively, and by first and second annular yokes 28, 29, 35, 36. The bobbins have winding portions 25, 32 on which first and second exciting coils 26, 33, respectively, are wound. A magnet rotor 22 having a rotating shaft 41 mounted thereto is rotatably held in a gap 43 between the coaxial laminations of the coil blocks 20, 21. Connector terminals 37 and 38 consisting of first connection portions 37a, 38a and second connection portions 37b, 38b are buried in the annular bobbins 34 of the second coil block 21. The first connection portions 37a, 38a protrude from a flange 30 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of the rotating shaft 44. The second connection portions 37b, 38b extend from the winding portion 32 in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of the rotating shaft 44. Terminal ends 26a, 33a of the first and second exciting coils 26, 33 are electrically connected with the protruding ends of the first connection portions 37a, 38a. The protruding ends of the second connection portions 37b, 38b are electrically connected with a printed-wiring board (external electric apparatus) 45.

Stepper motor

A moving magnet type indicating instrument comprising a moving magnet type instrument, a counter mechanism, a drive unit, and a frame body produced of a synthetic resin. The magnet type indicating instrument includes a magnet mounted in bobbins produced of the synthetic resin, a needle shaft fixed to the magnet, and a coil wound at an angle on the bobbins. The bobbins are housed in a magnetic shield case and the coil is electrically connected to terminals provided on the bobbins. The counter mechanism, including a total counter and reset counter having a zero-resetting device, is mounted on the frame body. The drive unit comprises a case including a step motor for driving the counter mechanism and a groove of gears, and is fixed to the frame body. Terminals for the moving magnet type indicating instrument and the drive unit are inserted and connected to the connectors provided on a printed-circuit board. Therefore, it is possible to easily electrically connect and fix the moving magnet type indicating instrument and the drive unit to the connectors on the printed-circuit board through these terminals.

Moving magnet type indicating instrument combined with a counter

In the moving magnet type meter of the present invention, the coil mounting portions of a bobbin body are projected outwards in a generally arched shape on the central side to form circular arc-like or inclined surfaces, whereby the bobbin body can be made strong against the external pressure induced by the mounting of coils thereon and can be prevented from being deformed. Further, the upper portion of a movable magnet is centrally formed with an upwardly projecting shaft support portion for supporting a pointer shaft, and a thrust bearing portion is formed in the lower surface of an upper bobbin body portion in an opposed relation to the upper end face of the said shaft support portion through a predetermined slight gap, whereby the pointer shaft can be formed in the shape of a straight rod without forming a reduced-diameter portion serving as a thrust bearing, so the fabrication of the pointer shaft is easy and it is possible to maintain the strength of the pointer shaft itself.
