A print control apparatus includes: an operation state storing section that stores operation information relating to operation states of a plurality of printing elements arranged in a printing head; and a drawing controlling section that causes the plurality of printing elements to draw a test image for checking the operation states of the plurality of printing elements, wherein the test image includes a set of a predetermined number of lines that are drawn in parallel with one another in a predetermined direction, and the drawing controlling section causes a printing element placed in the vicinity of a printing element determined as a malfunction on the basis of the operation information, to draw a check line having a predetermined length and thickness in the test image.

Print control apparatus

A liquid droplet ejection apparatus comprising a liquid droplet ejection head that ejects liquid droplets, a conveyor belt that retains and conveys a recording medium while causing the recording medium to face the liquid droplet ejection head, and a charge roll that causes the recording medium to be electrostatically attracted to the conveyor belt. The charge roll and the conveyor belt are configured not to contact each other, and a gap between the charge roll and the conveyor belt is less than the thickness of the recording medium.

Liquid droplet ejection apparatus

A droplet ejection device includes a droplet ejection head, a conveyance member, a cleaning unit and a coating unit. The droplet ejection head ejects droplets. The conveyance member retains a recording medium and conveys the recording medium to oppose the droplet ejection head. The cleaning unit cleans the conveyance member. The coating unit applies a coating liquid, with a characteristic of repelling the liquid that is ejected from the droplet ejection head, onto the conveyance member. Droplet ejection device

An image recording apparatus is disclosed wherein an image is recorded on a recording medium based on image information by ejecting liquid droplets from a liquid droplet ejecting head. A liquid droplet ejecting head is provided which has an ejection region substantially corresponding to a width of the recording medium. A conveyor unit is provided which conveys the recording medium to the ejection region of the liquid droplet ejecting head with the recording medium attracted and attached thereto and supported thereon. The recording medium is fed from the conveyor unit to a paper discharge section. Further, a plurality of attracting and supporting sub-units are provided which are vertically moved with the recording medium, which is delivered thereto from the conveyor unit, attracted and attached thereto and supported thereon, thereby conveying the recording medium to a subsequent step.

Image recording apparatus

An inkjet recording apparatus conducts image recording by ejecting ink and a reactive liquid that reacts with the ink onto a recording medium conveyed by an endless conveyor component. The inkjet recording apparatus includes: a dummy ejection controller that dummy-ejects one of the ink and the reactive liquid onto a first position on the endless conveyor component and dummy-ejects the other of the reactive liquid and the ink onto a second position on the endless conveyor component where the one of the ink and the reactive liquid is not adherent; and a cleaning device that cleans the ink and the reactive liquid on the endless conveyor component.

Inkjet recording apparatus

The present invention provides an inkjet recording head cartridge and an inkjet recording apparatus that have a simple structure and high reliability. Since individual flow passages in which ink emission orifices are formed are communicated directly with a rectangular ink supply chamber, it is prevented that a bubble of such a size as to cause printing defects rises through an ink supply chamber and blocks the individual flow passages. Also, since ink heated within the ink supply chamber is moved upward to the ink tank chamber by convection and grows an air lump sealed beforehand, it is prevented that a bubble will grow in the ink supply chamber. Furthermore, by allocating a large cross-sectional area to the ink supply chamber, it is prevented that meniscus oscillation of the ink emission orifices is amplified by pressure oscillation caused by ink emission and causes a printing defect. Therefore, reliable printing can be performed with a simple construction.

Inkjet recording head cartridge and inkjet recording apparatus

The present invention provides a liquid jet printing head, a method of manufacturing the same, and a liquid jet printing apparatus, which allow stable, high speed, and continuous printing. A liquid jet printing head provides an inflow of liquid from an inlet to a common chamber, then along with the surface of heating elements of a heating element substrate and with a wall of a housing to separate channels. Liquid drops will be ejected by heating the heating elements. Since liquid may flow linearly from the inlet to the separate channels in accordance with the present invention, smooth flow promotes evacuation of bubbles through a nozzle, while cooling the heating element substrate with liquid flowing along with the substrate. The present invention provides thereby stable printing with high speed, continuous ejection (printing) of liquid drops.

Liquid jet printing head and method for manufacturing the same

A print storage medium comprises a heat-generating layer for generating heat with an electrical signal input in accordance with a picture, the signal being supplied from a printing signal applying electrode to which the heat-generating layer is in pressure contact, an electrically conductive layer, an ink layer provided on the heat generated layer. The print storage medium is further provided with a plurality of microscopic electrodes on the storage medium with which the printing signal-applying electrode is in pressure contact, each of the microscopic electrodes being isolated from others. The electrically conductive layer may be formed of striped electrodes. The isolated microscopic patterns may be formed of electrically conductive ceramics or of electrically conductive resin.

Print storage medium

A method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium comprising a first step in which a first magnetic layer, having a repetitive magnetization pattern formed by a magnetic head over its entire surfaces is formed on a base layer. The base layer and the first magnetic layer together form a first laminated body. In a second step, a second magnetic layer in which magnetic particles are oriented in a predetermined direction and which is thermally magnetizable is formed on a second base layer. The second base layer and the second magnetic layer form a second laminated body. In a third step, the second laminated body is bonded to the first laminated body.

Method of manufacturing a magnetic recording medium

In a magnetically recording and erasing the magnetic latent image on the magnetic recording medium, the magnetic recording medium includes a base layer, a first magnetic layer in which a repetitive magnetic pattern is in advance formed, and a second magnetic layer on which the magnetic latent image to be formed is thermo-magnetically formed. A method of erasing the magnetic latent image on the second magnetic layer includes the steps of simultaneously applying an external magnetic field and heat to be thermally magnetized layer of a magnetic recording medium.

Magnetic recording medium and magnetic recording method

An apparatus for developing a latent magnetic image on a moving magnetic recording medium in which the image is always satisfactorily developed without excess toner particles yet using a simple mechanism. A developing magnet extends parallel to the surface of the recording medium, which is in the form of a magnetic drum. The direction of the magnetic field produced by the magnet at the point (line) of closest approach of the recording medium and magnet is the same as the direction of the magnetic field at boundaries between background regions and recorded image regions on the magnetic recording medium. A nonmagnetic rotating sleeve is positioned around the development magnet, and magnetic toner supplied to the outer surface of the sleeve.

Magnetic recording image developing apparatus

In electrostatic latent image developing process capable of effecting either positive or negative reproduction a magnetic toner of a high resistivity is controlled to form a magnetic brush having a potential insufficient for development. The toner chain constituting the brush is separated under the influence of an electric field between the developing roll and the image carrier, to produce toner particles having one polarity continuing with the developing roll, and particles of the opposite polarity transferred to the carrier.

Process for developing and transferring magnetic toner images

A method of thermo-magnetic recording employs a recording medium of a magnetization material disposed on an insulator. An area on the medium is joule-heated via the application of a voltage across contacting electrodes up to a bias point, and a heat pattern is applied in the form of an image to form a magnetic latent image.

Thermo-magnetic recording method

A magnetic recording medium for use in recording a magnetic latent image includes a high permeability layer having a low Curie point and a magnetic recording layer formed thereover. In use, the high permeability layer is selectively heated to the Curie point, so as to allow a magnetic signal to pass therethrough and be recorded on the recording layer.

Magnetic recording medium

A magnetic copying method and apparatus reads data from originals and records them in a ferromagnetic, image memory bearer. The master latent images formed on the image memory bearer are transferred from the memory bearer onto a ferromagnetic recording body as slave magnetic latent images, and, subsequently, these slave magnetic latent images are developed with toner into toner images so that they can be transferred onto transferring materials. Subsequently, the toner images on the transferring materials are fixed. The image memory bearer can be rewound after all the data contained in it have been transferred onto the transferring material so that additional copies can easily be made.
