A surface mount inductor includes a molded body made of a composite material containing magnetic powder, and a metal plate including a first metal plate portion embedded in the molded body and a second metal plate portion extending from the first metal plate portion to an outside of the molded body. The second metal plate portion is extended from a side surface or mounting surface side of the molded body, is arranged along the molded body with a bent portion, and forms an external terminal arranged at least on the mounting surface side of the molded body. The external terminal includes a plating layer on a surface on an opposite side from a surface facing the molded body, and does not include a plating layer on the surface facing the molded body.

A surface mount inductor includes a molded body made of a composite material containing a magnetic powder, and a metal plate including a first metal plate portion that is buried in the molded body and second metal plate portions that extend from the first metal plate portion to outside the molded body. The second metal plate portions each include a first bent portion that extends from a side surface of the molded body and is bent in a direction that intersects the mounting surface and a second bent portion that is bent from the direction that intersects the mounting surface toward a side surface the molded body. The second metal plate portions extend along the molded body onto the mounting surface and form an external terminal. An internal angle of each first bent portion is formed so as to be an obtuse angle.

A surface-mount inductor includes a molded body and a metallic plate. The metallic plate has a first metallic plate portion embedded in the molded body such that an extension direction and a width direction thereof are parallel to the mounting surface; second metallic plate portions extending from both end portions, in the extension direction, of the first metallic plate portion to a bottom surface of the molded body in a direction to the mounting surface; and third metallic plate portions disposed to extend from the second metallic plate portions along the bottom surface of the molded body and be separated from side surfaces adjacent to the bottom surface of the molded body. Provided are: a powdered material for slush molding; and a manufacturing process therefor. The powdered material is less odorous, exhibits excellent powder fluidity, and does not suffer from troubles resulting from the sliding-down or agglomeration of a pigment even when the resin particles have been pigmented on the surfaces thereof. Thus, the powdered material ensures high productivity. The powdered material is a powdered polyurethane urea resin composition which comprises (D) a polyurethane urea resin that has a total content of bimolecular condensate of acetone, bimolecular condensate of methyl ethyl ketone, and bimolecular condensate of methyl isobutyl ketone of 1,000 ppm or less and (N) an additive, wherein the polyurethane urea resin (D) takes the form of thermoplastic polyurethane urea resin particles (P) that have a volume-mean particle diameter of 20 to 500 &#x3bc;m and that have protrusions and recesses on the surfaces. The powdered polyurethane urea resin composition is manufactured by a manufacturing process which includes a step of mixing (A) an isocyanato-terminated urethane prepolymer with (B) an alicyclic diamine and/or an aliphatic diamine in an aqueous medium by stirring to form the resin particles (P).

The present invention is urethane resin particles (C) for slush mold which contain a urethane resin (D) and an additive (N), wherein the particles have a shape factor SF1 of 101 to 200, a shape factor SF2 of 120 to 240, and a central particle diameter of 20 to 500 &#x3bc;m. It is preferred that the urethane resin (D) has a concentration of urea groups of 0.5 to 10% by weight, a total of the concentration of urethane groups and that of the urea groups of 4 to 20% by weight, a melting point of 160 to 260&#xb0; C. and a glass transition temperature of &#x2212;65 to 0&#xb0; C.
