A stator for a rotary electric machine includes: a stator core in a cylindrical shape with plural slots formed at an inner circumferential surface; plural coil segments inserted in the slots from one end surface side of the stator core; and plural coil end plates electrically connected with the coil segments on another end surface side of the stator core, wherein the coil segments respectively include: one leg portion; another leg portion; and a curved portion that is continuously formed between the one leg portion and the other leg portion, wherein the coil end plates respectively include: a plate portion in a flat plate shape; and a pair of extended portions, and wherein end portions of the leg portions of the coil segments are connected to the extended portions. It is possible to improve assembility and attain downsizing by reducing the volume of coil end portions for the stator.

Stator for rotary electric machine

A brake structure for a wheel rotating device includes a motor provided in a wheel and is driven for rotating the wheel, and a braking mechanism for actuating brake to brake the wheel. The motor includes: a motor housing; a stator positioned in and fixed to the motor housing; and a rotor positioned in the motor housing and facing to the stator. The braking mechanism includes: a brake rotor to rotate with the wheel; frictional members to be in contact with the brake rotor for generation of braking force; a pressing force generating unit for generating pressing force of the frictional members so that the frictional members are urged to and pressed against the brake rotor by supplying brake fluid through a brake fluid passage to transmit fluid pressure; and a housing for the pressing force generating unit. The brake fluid passage is formed inside a wall of the motor housing, and is connected to a brake fluid supply port provided in the housing for the pressing force generating unit.

Brake structure for wheel rotating device

A wheel rotating device () for an in-wheel motor vehicle includes a motor (), a speed reducer () coupled to an output part of the motor (), a hub () coupled to an output part of the speed reducer (), and a spindle () fixed relative to a vehicle body and supporting the hub () in a manner that permits the hub () to rotate. The hub () is coupled to a wheel () to rotate the wheel (). A stator () of the motor () is disposed inwardly in radial directions of the wheel () along an inner circumferential surface of the wheel (). A rotor () of the motor () is disposed inwardly in radial directions of the stator (). The speed reducer () is disposed between the rotor () and the hub () with bearings provided between the speed reducer () and the hub ().

Wheel rotating device for in-wheel motor vehicle

A rotor for an electric motor () includes a magnetic assembly () formed into a ring-shaped plate form, a rotor disc () for holding an inner periphery of the magnet assembly, and an outer peripheral ring () for holding an outer periphery of the magnet assembly. The magnet assembly is composed of first and second main magnets (A-A-) having magnetizations directions that are oriented perpendicularly and having orientations that are opposite one another, and first and second submagnets (B-B-) having magnetization directions that are oriented perpendicularly in a circumferential direction and having orientations that are opposite one another. At least one group of magnets selected from the main magnets and the submagnets has a wedge-shaped planar part. The planar parts of the first and second main magnets and first and second submagnets form the same plane of rotation. The magnets are arranged so that the magnetization directions of adjacent magnets are perpendicular to one another.

Rotor for electric motor

A brake structure for a wheel rotating device is disclosed, which comprises a motor provided in a wheel and is driven for rotating the wheel, and a braking mechanism for actuating brake to brake the wheel. The motor includes: a motor housing; a stator positioned in and fixed to the motor housing; and a rotor positioned in the motor housing and facing to the stator. The braking mechanism includes: a brake rotor to rotate with the wheel; frictional members to be in contact with the brake rotor for generation of braking force; a pressing force generating unit for generating pressing force of the frictional members so that the frictional members are urged to and pressed against the brake rotor by supplying brake fluid through a brake fluid passage to transmit fluid pressure; and a housing for the pressing force generating unit. The brake fluid passage is formed inside a wall of the motor housing, and is connected to a brake fluid supply port provided in the housing for the pressing force generating unit.

In a wheel rotating apparatus including a motor and a planet gear mechanism to generate a drive force, the planet gear includes first and second gears having different diameters, connected to each other in an axial direction thereof with planet gear shaft. The first gear is inside the stator and the rotor in radial and axial directions of the wheel and the second gear is outside the first gear in an axial direction of the wheel. A vehicle may include a suspension connected to the base of the wheel rotating apparatus.

Wheel rotating apparatus and in-wheel motor vehicle

A processing apparatus capable of grinding an arcuate groove (a groove having an arcuate shape in section) of various shapes defined in a work with a good accuracy. A pseudo-elliptic arcuate groove defined in a work is ground by a forming grindstone. The work is moved in a Y-axis direction (vertically on a paper sheet) in a state in which the forming grindstone is supported on a tool table for rotation and is moved in a X-axis direction (a direction perpendicular to the paper sheet) to abut against the arcuate groove, while rotating the work in a direction of an arrow with its axis L matched with an axis C of an indexer. Thus, it is possible to relatively move the forming grindstone to trace the arcuate groove, thereby accurately grinding the arcuate groove.
