Nut feeding system

An electric spot welding gun () includes: a servo motor (); a push rod () that advances and retracts in response to rotation of a rotor () of the servo motor; a drive-side electrode tip () that is mounted to a drive-side arm () fixed to a leading end of the push rod; and an encoder () that detects the rotation angle of the rotor of the servo motor, the position of the electrode tip being offset relative to the push rod, in which the rotor and the encoder are disposed in parallel to each other in an offset plane on which the electrode tip is offset relative to the push rod, at an attitude in which a trailing end () of the rotor on a side opposite to a push rod side thereof and an input end () of the encoder are facing in the same direction.

Electric spot welding gun

A welding gun is provided that can achieve both a size reduction and increase in pressure using a servo motor. The welding gun () includes an arm holder () having guide pins (and) that are moveable along guide tracks () formed in a gun bracket (), and a mobile gun arm () is mounted to this arm holder. Roller followers (and) engaging with the guide tracks around the guide pins are provided, and the mobile gun arm is made to open or close via the arm holder using a servo motor ().

In an encoder dampening mechanism for an electric spot welding gun equipped with a motor that is accommodated inside of a motor housing and causes a hollow rotor to rotate, and an encoder main body that detects a rotation angle of the hollow rotor, the encoder dampening mechanism includes: a thin plate that is formed with a top surface that is larger in a surface area than a base surface of the encoder main body, and on which the base surface of the encoder main body is installed within the top surface; and a thin plate mounting portion that connects the thin plate to the motor housing via the thin plate support part and the thin plate pressure part, which dampen vibration.

Encoder dampening mechanism

A welding gun precludes moisture from penetrating inside of a motor housing due by preventing development of negative pressure inside the motor housing. The welding gun includes a feed screw mechanism that is coupled to a servo motor and has a hollow rod that reciprocally moves in a predetermined direction by way of torque applied by the servo motor, and a moveable electrode tip that is connected to a leading end portion of the hollow rod and opens and closes relative to a fixed electrode tip according to the reciprocal movement of the hollow rod. The servo motor has a motor housing in which a motor housing hollow part accommodating a portion of the hollow rod to be reciprocally moveable is formed. A vent that ventilates the motor housing hollow part with ambient air is formed in the motor housing.

A welding gun driving device is provided with an electric motor, a feed screw mechanism, and a pressure rod axially moved forward and backward via the feed screw mechanism by the electric motor. A rotor of the electric motor is formed into a hollow shape through which the pressure rod is insertable. The feed screw mechanism is provided with a screw shaft fixed to the rotor concentrically with the rotor, and a nut portion screwed to the screw shaft. The pressure rod is provided with the nut portion and a hollow rod portion extending toward the axial front from the nut portion. The rotor is provided, at its inner peripheral face, with a guide portion through which the pressure rod is inserted and supported so as to be relatively rotatable and axially slidable.
