The main spindle unit has a main spindle, a front bearing, a rear bearing, a front case for covering the front bearing, and a rear case for covering the rear bearing. The front case has a front body part for holding the front bearing and a front flange part extending radially outward from the front body part. The rear case has a rear body part for holding the rear bearing and a rear flange part extending radially outward from the rear body part. A front mounted surface, which can be brought into contact with a first mounting surface of a unit support table, is formed on the front flange part so as to face the front side thereof. A rear mounted surface, which contacts a second mounting surface of the unit support table, is formed on the rear flange part so as to face the front side thereof.

The present invention is provided with: gear chamfering tools that perform cutting for chamfering a tooth profile ridge section of a gear to be cut; tool holding parts for holding the gear chamfering tools at one end portion thereof; substantially linear movement means which cause substantially linear movement of the other end portion opposed to the one end portion for holding the gear chamfering tools in the tool holding parts; and circular movement means for causing circular movement of an intermediate portion between the one end portion for holding the gear chamfering tools and the other end portion subjected to the substantially linear movement by the substantially linear movement means in the tool holding parts. By combining the substantially linear movement means and the circular movement means, substantially elliptical movement of tip end parts of the gear chamfering tools is achieved.

Gear chamfering device and gear processing machine equipped with said gear chamfering device

Provided is a main spindle mechanism for a machine tool such that even in the case of a small-diameter spindle, it is possible to increase the torque transmitted to a large cutter and it is possible to prevent contact to and collisions with the workpiece. The main spindle mechanism, which is provided to a machine tool that cuts a workpiece by means of a cutter, is characterized by having: a spindle that transmits torque from the drive power source of the machine tool and is formed with outer teeth at the outer periphery of the tip thereof; a large cutter arbor provided with a shaft for attaching the large cutter and a base at which outer teeth are formed having the same diameter as the outer teeth of the spindle; and a gear-coupling-shaped sleeve that is provided in a manner so as to cover the base of the large cutter arbor and the tip of the spindle, and at which are formed inner teeth that mesh with both the outer teeth of the spindle and the outer teeth of the large cutter arbor.

Main spindle mechanism

A difference of tooth profile gradient errors (&#x394;&#x3b1;) is calculated, which is a deviation between the tooth profile gradient error (&#x3b1;) when the tooth profile of a gear is calculated by a method of scanning in a tangential direction of a base circle; and the tooth profile gradient error (&#x3b1;) when the tooth profile of a gear is calculated by scanning methods other than a method of scanning in a tangential direction of a base circle. The position error (&#x394;x) is calculated using the difference of tooth profile gradient errors (&#x394;&#x3b1;) and gear specifications, and the position of the gauge head is calibrated depending on the position error (&#x394;x). Hereby the position of the gauge head can be calibrated without using a mechanical reference member.

Method of calibrating gear measuring device

The actual axial center position of a helical gear relative to the axial center position of a rotary table is calculated on the basis of input gear dimensions and information from a touch probe. Correction values for the positions and motions of the rotary table and a grindstone are calculated on the basis of the actual axial center position of the helical gear.Operation values for the rotary table, a column, a saddle, and a grindstone head are calculated by adding the correction values to reference values for the positions and motions of the rotary table and the grindstone. Motors are controlled in such a way that operation is carried out at the operation values to thereby carry out form grinding.

Gear grinding machine and gear grinding method

Position adjustments of a chamfering cutter and a deburring cutter in a chamfering device with respect to a workpiece can be easily carried out. The chamfering device has a chamfering cutter, a deburring cutter which has a diameter different from that of the chamfering cutter; a cutter swing block, a cutter longitudinal feed block, and a base block, which rotatably support the chamfering cutter and the deburring cutter and are capable of subjecting the chamfering cutter and the deburring cuter to position adjustment with respect to the workpiece. The longitudinal feed block can perform single-axis feeding with respect to the workpiece. The chamfering cutter and the deburring cutter are disposed so that the cutting change amount of the chamfering cutter and that of the deburring cutter will be approximately equal to each other throughout the diameter range of the workpiece to be processed.

Chamfering device and gear processing machine provided therewith

A gear grinding machine wherein a tooth alignment operation is performed prior to grinding, is equipped with a workpiece processing rotation shaft () which rotates a workpiece (W) located at a workpiece processing position (P); a workpiece swing device () whereby a tailstock () that holds the workpiece (W) is swung between a workpiece replacement position (P) and a workpiece processing position; a workpiece alignment rotation shaft () which rotates the workpiece held by the tailstock (); and a tooth alignment sensor () that detects the rotation phase of the workpiece, which was rotated by the workpiece alignment rotation shaft. Before the workpiece held by the tailstock is placed at the workpiece processing position, the rotation of the workpiece alignment rotation shaft is controlled on the basis of the rotation phase detected, so that the workpiece will engage with a threaded grinding stone ().

Gear processing machine

Provided is a gear machining method whereby a gear to be machined that is eccentrically mounted can be machined with high accuracy. For this purpose, the gear machining method is such that a target table rotation phase (Co) for a rotation table () and a target cut amount (Xo) for a hob cutter () are set on the basis of data regarding a workpiece (W), that a table rotation phase correction amount (&#x394;C) is obtained on the basis of an eccentric amount (&#x3b4;) of the workpiece (W) with respect to the rotation table () and an eccentric rotation phase (&#x3c6;) of the workpiece (W) with respect to the same, that the rotation table () is rotated in an actual rotation phase (Ct) which is obtained by applying a rotation phase correction amount (&#x394;C) to the target table rotation phase (Co), that furthermore, a cutting correction amount (&#x394;X) is obtained on the basis of the workpiece eccentric amount (&#x3b4;), the workpiece eccentric rotation phase (&#x3c6;), and the actual table rotation phase (Ct), and that the hob cutter () is made to cut into the workpiece (W) by an actual cut amount (Xh) which is obtained by applying the cutting correction amount (&#x394;X) to the target cut amount (Xo).

Gear machining method

A backlash eliminator includes an input shaft () coupled to a driving motor () and having a drive gear (); an output shaft () fixing a gear (W), as an object to be cut, thereon, and having a driven gear (); and a stationary intermediate shaft () and a moving intermediate shaft () disposed parallel to the input shaft and the output shaft, and having large intermediate gears () meshing with the drive gear, and small intermediate gears () meshing with the driven gear, and a switching regulating valve () for pressing the moving intermediate shaft in its axial direction so that an output-side backlash elimination torque (Ts) between the driven gear and the small intermediate gear () acts in the same direction as the direction of generation of a cutting load torque (Tw) generated in the circumferential direction of the gear during machining of the gear.

The index table includes a rotary table for setting a workpiece for a machine tool; a rotary table shaft fixedly provided on the rotary table; a driving motor mechanism, which is a driving source; and a planetary roller speed-reduction mechanism having a sun roller, which is a motor output shaft of the driving motor mechanism, a ring fixed to the speed-reduction mechanism, a plurality of planetary rollers arranged at equal angular intervals between the sun roller and the ring in a pressurized state, and a planetary roller harness that fixedly supports a plurality of planetary roller shafts pivotally supporting the planetary rollers in a rotatable manner and is fixedly provided coaxially with the rotary table shaft.

A gear grinding machine comprises: a moving mechanism rotatably mounted with a threaded grinding wheel, and arranged to move the threaded grinding wheel along directions of X, Z, and Y, and to turn the threaded grinding wheel in a Y-Z plane; an NC device for controlling the position of the threaded grinding wheel; and a rotary dressing device having a dressing tool which contacts the flanks of the threads of the threaded grinding wheel, while rotationally driven, to perform dressing. The NC device numerically controls the moving mechanism so as to adjust the positions in the directions of X and Z, and the turning position in the Y-Z plane of the threaded grinding wheel, while keeping contact of the dressing tool with the flanks of the threads of the threaded grinding wheel, in order to modify the wheel pressure angle of the threaded grinding wheel.
