A hybrid vehicle including: an engine; output member that transmits driving force to drive wheels; a rotating electric machine; and a power split mechanism that splits and transmits the driving force output from the engine to the output member and the rotating electric machine, the mechanism including at least three rotating elements of an input element connected to the engine, a reaction force element connecting the rotating electric machine, and an output element connecting the output member, the machine capable of outputting reaction force torque to required engine torque based on an acceleration request to apply torque to the required engine torque to the drive wheel, where the machine does not output the reaction force torque, engine rotation speed increase control being able to be executed, engine torque limitation due to a NV requirement being able to be executed and which is relaxed during the engine rotation speed increase control.

Hybrid vehicle

A hybrid vehicle includes an engine; a motor generator; and an electronic control unit to control the engine and the motor generator. Further, when an engine speed thereof is increased, the electronic control unit calculates an engine torque by adding an engine inertia torque to a request engine torque and cause the engine to output the calculated engine torque, and cause the motor generator to output a reaction torque in response to the request engine torque, and the electronic control unit performs control so that a torque assistance amount exerted by the motor generator is changeable while the engine speed is increased.

A control device for a selectable one-way clutch includes a pocket plate; a notch plate rotating relative to the pocket plate; a selector plate between the pocket plate and the notch plate rotating coaxially with the notch plate to change between a state allowing engagement members to pass through respective openings and to stand up from a side close to the pocket plate toward a side close to the notch plate and a state allowing the housing recesses to house the engagement members; and a motion detection unit detecting a motion of the selector plate. Further, when an unintended motion of the selector plate is detected, the pocket plate and the notch plate to rotate differentially at a rotation speed equal to or less than a predetermined absolute value, and the selectable one-way clutch to fall into a state of ratchet or into a state of overrun.

Vehicular power transmission device

Since one end of a spring is received by a planar portion of a spring seat provided on any one of an outer plate and an inner plate, it is possible to support the spring with a planar member without machining a bottom wall face of the outer plate into a planar shape. Since the spring seat has seat guide portions that contact the outer plate, it is possible to suppress the fluctuation of the spring seat and the fluctuation of the spring by the seat guide portions, so it is possible to reliably prevent interference of the spring with its peripheral portion. Therefore, a load on the spring is reduced, so it is possible to improve the durability of a one-way clutch.

One-way clutch

Provided is a control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle, a clutch being provided in a power transmission path leading from an engine to drive wheels, the clutch transmitting torque between the engine and the drive wheels when engaged, the clutch interrupting the transmission of torque between the engine and the drive wheels, the control apparatus including an ECU configured to execute drive control for consuming electric power of a storage device by driving a first motor, when the clutch is kept in a released state and the clutch cannot be engaged and an amount of electrical charge of the storage device is higher than a prescribed first threshold value.

Control apparatus and control method for hybrid vehicle

In a drive control system for a vehicle configured to cause the vehicle to travel in a limp-home mode when a malfunction occurs in a selectable one-way clutch, when it is determined that a malfunction occurs in the SOWC, the cause of the malfunction is specified as one of a plate-open failure of a selector plate that is unintentionally placed in an open state, and a sensor failure. In the case of the plate-open failure, a first limp-home traveling mode is carried out in which the vehicle travels in the limp-home mode while keeping the SOWC in a negative rotational speed range. In the case of the sensor failure, a second limp-home traveling mode is carried out in which the vehicle travels in the limp-home mode while the SOWC is placed in the non-engaged state.

Drive control system for vehicle

A controller for a hybrid vehicle is provided. The hybrid vehicle includes an engine, a first electric motor, a second electric motor, a power split mechanism, and a selectable one-way clutch. The hybrid vehicle is configured to increase and transmit a rotation speed of the engine to an output shaft to drive the output shaft in an overdrive state when the selectable one-way clutch is in the engaged state. The controller includes an electronic control unit configured to control the first electric motor such that an engine brake equivalent torque with a magnitude sufficient to maintain the locked state of the selectable one-way clutch is output in a direction opposite to a direction of a negative torque which is generated in the engine when the hybrid vehicle travels in a state in which supply of fuel to the engine is stopped in the overdrive state.

An installation structure of a one-way clutch in which torque transmission is limited to one direction includes a flywheel, first and second rotary structures, housing and stopper plates, and a rivet. The first rotary structure is arranged coaxially with the flywheel while connected to an engine block. The second rotary structure is arranged coaxially with the first rotary structure while connected to the flywheel. The housing plate is disposed between the flywheel and the first and second rotary structures and arranged coaxially while connected to the second rotary structure. The stopper plate is attached to the second rotary structure to hold first rotary structure with the housing plate. The rivet fastens the stopper plate, the second rotary structure, and the housing plate. A first clearance between one face of the flywheel and a top face of a head of the rivet is narrower than a thickness of the stopper plate.

A first planetary gear unit is included of a first carrier, a first sun gear, and a first ring gear. A first motor is connected with the first sun gear, the second motor is connected with the second sun gear, and the first ring gear and the second ring gear are individually connected with an output member. In the drive unit, a reverse stage fixing-mode to propel the vehicle backwardly while changes the output member speed in accordance with the engine speed.

A control system for hybrid vehicle for extending a possible travelling distance of the vehicle in the event of clutch failure is provided. The control system is configured to select a first drive mode in which the vehicle is powered by an engine in case an estimated torque transmitting capacity of the clutch in trouble is larger than a first threshold value, and to select a second drive mode in which the vehicle is powered by a motor in case the estimated torque transmitting capacity of the clutch in trouble is smaller than the first threshold value. A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to promptly shift a drive mode. In the single-motor mode, the vehicle is powered by a second motor while bringing an engagement device into disengagement and stopping the engine. In the dual-motor mode, the vehicle is powered by both a first motor and the second motor while bringing the engagement device into engagement and stopping a rotation of the output shaft of the engine by a stopper device. A vehicle control system for preventing malfunction of the clutch for selectively connecting the engine with the power train. The vehicle control system is applied to a vehicle having an engine, a motor disposed on a power train, and a clutch interposed therebetween. In order to prevent a malfunction of the clutch, the vehicle control system is configured to engage the clutch while causing a slip but without starting the engine if the engine has not yet been started.

A headlight control device provided in a vehicle to perform headlight control and to control a distribution of light irradiated from a light source is provided. The headlight control device includes: a determination unit that determines a presence and an absence of an obstacle in front of the vehicle and determines a position of the obstacle; a setting unit that sets up an area covering the obstacle as an intensified illumination area when the determination unit determines the presence of the obstacle, wherein the intensified illumination area is an area to which the light from the light source is irradiated in a manner different than a peripheral area of the intensified illumination area; and a controller that controls the distribution of the light irradiated from the light source so that the intensified illumination area set up by the setting unit has an illuminated zone and a non-illuminated zone.
